Chapter 294: Three People Mission II

The hidden entrance was buried beneath a camouflaged rock-face, but that didn’t matter anymore.

A blazing inferno fist erupted through it like the wrath of a volcanic god.

The gate, forged from vibranium-titanium composite, didn’t stand a chance. It melted, screamed, then exploded outward in a plume of molten debris as Steve Rogers – the Inferno Titan – stepped inside, radiating power like a walking supernova.

Behind him, Tony soared in, armored in a sleeker, newly modified Turbo Force Suit, high-speed jets pulsing with white-blue energy. The heat shimmered off his armor as he banked and hovered beside Steve.

Bucky followed moments later—still physically drained, but focused. His new, fully organic left arm clenched as he advanced cautiously, rifle drawn.

"Lab’s not gonna be empty," Tony muttered through his helmet. "Expect resistance."

"Good," Steve rumbled. "Let them try."

They entered the main corridor—a stretch of reinforced alloy and sealed containment doors. Dim lights flickered overhead, the entire place humming with a low, surgical tension.

Suddenly—

Auto-turrets descended from the ceiling, sleek and high-tech.

"Target acquired—fire."

Before they could even lock on, Steve raised a lava-clad hand and unleashed a jet of plasma flame—the turrets melted mid-aim, clattering to the floor as slag.

"Shortcut," he grunted, slamming his foot down. A shockwave of heat blasted forward, melting the magnetic locks on every door ahead.

The corridor opened like a scorched artery, revealing:

A vast chamber.

Rows of cryopods.

Dozens of them.

Each containing enhanced soldiers—men and women—hooked to intravenous circuits, cybernetic overlays... and silent vitals.

"Jesus..." Bucky whispered. "They’re... they’re building more. Like me."

Tony scanned them quickly. "Confirmed. Neural chip interfaces. Biochemical enhancers. And something new... this isn’t just brute-force."

Steve’s eyes narrowed. "They’re building perfect weapons. Custom soldiers."

Suddenly, alarms wailed. The lights turned crimson.

From the far side of the chamber, a squad of guards poured out—cybernetic troopers in adaptive armor.

Steve didn’t wait.

He leapt into them like a meteor, fists erupting into fiery shockwaves, each strike cratering metal and melting armor. He moved like a force of nature—fluid, relentless, incinerating everything in his path.

Tony zoomed overhead, launching precise plasma blasts, while Bucky ducked behind cover, returning fire with sharp bursts, clearing flankers with deadly accuracy.

The last of the cybernetic guards collapsed in a heap of scorched armor. Steve stood at the center of the devastation, embers trailing from his gauntlets. His chest rose and fell slowly, the lava-like cracks across his arms beginning to cool, but the heat in his glare still seared.

Tony floated down beside him, visor retracting.

"Alright," he muttered, surveying the wreckage, "now I really don’t want to make you angry again."

Steve didn’t respond. His eyes were locked on the massive reinforced blast door ahead—the last one still sealed.

"Behind there," Bucky said grimly, stepping forward. "That’s where they monitored me... whoever ran this place. I remember... screaming. Darkness. A voice."

Tony tapped into the door’s interface, his fingers dancing across the holopad.

"Complex firewall. Looks like it’s tied to a biometric key. Can’t force it open with brute code."

Steve didn’t wait.

He walked to the door, raised his hand, and slammed a molten punch directly into the biometric scanner. It exploded in a burst of white sparks and glass.

The system stuttered, beeped—then the heavy door hissed and rolled open.

Inside... was a command room, dimly lit, filled with monitors, tanks of enhancement chemicals, racks of prototype weapons, and a massive central terminal still glowing with active data feeds.

"Bingo," Tony said.

They stepped in—Steve first, then Tony and Bucky—checking corners, clearing the space. It was empty... but alive with information.

On the largest screen, a blueprint flickered: TURBO

Tony’s eyes widened. "Wait... that’s me."

Steve turned sharply. "What?"

Tony pointed. "That’s my tech—my older MK-19 armor system—and something else fused with it. But I never authorized this design." He began scanning. "Neural link enhancers. Full-body power core. They tried to replicate Turbo Force tech using black market designs."

Bucky moved toward a table in the back, picking up a photograph. He froze.

Steve noticed. "What is it?"

Bucky handed it over.

It was a photo of him. Young. Before the war. With a red stamp that read:

ASSET 301 — PRIME TEMPLATE

Steve clenched the photo tightly.

"If Bucky was 301 , and it was before the War, it means.."

" It means there migt be over millions now" Tony completed the sentence as eh tre dto look around." My Turb o armor de dis jsst a intsi she, thye ebd have acquire dit when I add edte Turbo force in aother designs f Tsrak indutries" Tony siad as he added" Poor gusys, the wil neevr be able to after l atheone that I put in other eled awas an very rin fwon verson of Turbo enegry" he siad while Bcuky loe d aroudn wne suley.

Suddenly, the computer sparked again, flickering to life as a pre-recorded hologram activated.

A man appeared—his face hidden in shadows. His voice was calm, sharp, and calculated.

"If you’ve found this lab... congratulations. It means one of the early assets has broken conditioning. Or worse... been recovered. But don’t think this is the end.

Project: Ultimate Soldier Weapons—the Winter Soldier Program—was only Phase One."

The screen shifted, now showing blueprints of other facilities, spread across the globe.

"You were always meant to be prototypes.

The world doesn’t need heroes.

It needs weapons it can control. Fail-safes. Precision tools to shape peace... and enforce it."

There was a brief distortion before the message continued:

"Unity is now interfering with our project. We need to eliminate them—and soon."

Another screen flickered on, showing profiles labeled: Ten Rings – New Heroes or Warlords.

"We’ve decided to infiterate the Ten Rings Lords.

Our goal is infiltration. One of our members will join their ranks—if not more. The rings possess great power."

A file labeled "Xu Wenwu – Former Bearer" opened beside it.

"From the last known bearer, Xu Wenwu, we confirmed the rings’ secret:

When united, they unlock a path to immortality.

Word has spread—and many now flock to our cause for that promise alone."

"Unity will cease to exist... sooner or later."

The screen glitched—then the figure leaned slightly closer to the camera.

"Hail Hydra."

The feed went dark.
