Chapter 867: Chapter 877: Discovered! (5 more)

"You’re cheating!" Shan Hao roared.

As soon as those words were spoken, the entire venue fell into stunned silence.

Where did this accusation of cheating come from?

Normally, you hear about cheating during card games, be it mahjong or poker, but to think someone could cheat in stone gambling—this was completely beyond reason!

The people around stopped talking.

They all knew exactly what Shan Hao was up to.

As for the customers, each one of them froze. Cheating in something like this? Wasn’t that practically robbing people?

Tang Zhong squinted his eyes upon hearing this statement.

But Shan Hao didn’t care about what the people around him thought. When he set up his stone gambling den, he never planned to lose a single dime—only to make money.

He had already decided this guy was cheating. So what if he was? What could he do about it?

"Kid, you’re cheating! In this place, if you’re caught cheating, we cut off your fingers!" Shan Hao bellowed at Tang Zhong.

"Cheating? Are you sure?" Tang Zhong asked, narrowing his eyes further.

"What? You’re cheating and trying to threaten me? Let me tell you, Shan Hao isn’t someone who tolerates threats!" Shan Hao sneered coldly.

Then he let out a shout.

From the crowd of customers, several men emerged and walked over to stand beside Shan Hao, addressing him loudly, "Brother Hao!"

No one had expected this outcome: some of the so-called customers were actually Shan Hao’s accomplices.

The onlookers were shocked and felt utterly deceived.

Planting his own men among the customers—this was straight-up fraud!

"Refund us! Refund us!"

The customers who had purchased stones suddenly realized something was fishy. Why was it others always managed to buy stones worth millions, while they couldn’t? So this was the trick all along!

"Refund you? Refund your damned mother!" Shan Hao exploded with rage. He had already lost all shame—what more could they do to him? As locals, they weren’t about to be intimidated by some outsiders. It didn’t matter if you were some big shot or even a Dragon; if you were here, you had to bow down.

The sight of Shan Hao’s fury terrified the gathered crowd. Fear took over, and nobody dared to say a word.

They could only endure silently.

At this moment, Shan Hao walked up to Tang Zhong, sizing him up from head to toe. His chest hair peeked out from beneath the vest he was wearing, looking especially thick.

"Kid, do you even realize that cheating in my place means you’re dead meat?"

He then barked an order, "All of you, get to him now! Grab his hands—don’t let him escape!"

The men behind him moved in to grab Tang Zhong. "Son of a bitch!" one of them cursed.

Tang Zhong raised his head. He had originally planned to use this stone gambling scenario to lure Robert out, but it seemed like that wasn’t necessary anymore.

As someone rushed toward Tang Zhong, he stood motionless, rooted to the spot.

He merely glanced at the approaching man.

The thug charging at him suddenly froze in place, standing rigid with his eyes locked wide open. Nobody could tell what had happened, but the man collapsed to the ground, blood pouring from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

The sudden and shocking turn of events left everyone in the room dumbfounded.

Shan Hao was stunned where he stood. "Wh-what... just happened?"

When he saw the blood on his fallen goon, his horror only deepened. "Why... Why is there blood?"

"What do you think?" Tang Zhong said icily.

"You... Did you do that?" Shan Hao was paralyzed with fear, collapsing onto the ground.

"What? It wasn’t me. Your man must’ve had a seizure; that’s why it turned out like this!" Tang Zhong replied with a smile.

"No... It has to be you!" Shan Hao screamed. "Murder! He’s murdered someone!"

"Didn’t you say I was cheating? Then if your guy had a seizure, isn’t that just as normal?" Tang Zhong smirked.

The oppressive aura radiating off Tang Zhong left Shan Hao completely frozen, his face pale as death. The fear he felt was palpable—it was as if he was staring into the eyes of a Demon.

"What... What do you want?" Shan Hao stammered.

"What else? I’m going to chop off your fingers," Tang Zhong said with a smile.

In that instant, Tang Zhong activated Instantaneous Movement, his hand forming the shape of a blade as he slashed toward Shan Hao’s hand.

With a single swipe, Shan Hao’s five fingers were severed cleanly, landing on the ground in a bloody mess.

Screaming in pain, Shan Hao collapsed to the floor, convulsing uncontrollably.

"N-no... This can’t be happening!" Shan Hao clutched his hand in agony.

The shocking scene left everyone so baffled they couldn’t comprehend what had just occurred. To be precise, nobody even saw how it had happened—one moment, Tang Zhong was standing far from Shan Hao, and in the next, they were face to face. The sheer speed was unreal, almost defying the laws of nature.

Even more mysterious was how Shan Hao’s fingers had been cut off.

After severing Shan Hao’s fingers, Tang Zhong vanished once again using Instantaneous Movement.

He had no interest in the jade stones to begin with. Initially, he had planned to use his jade-sensing ability to attract Robert’s attention and draw him in. But since Shan Hao had already created a scene, things would be much easier now. Considering Robert was likely an Ability User seeking the special blue stone enabling Instantaneous Movement, Tang Zhong figured showing off the ability was enough to lure Robert to him.

The onlookers soon noticed Tang Zhong had disappeared entirely, their faces filled with terror as if they’d seen a ghost.

"Oh my god, where did he go? How could he move that fast? He vanished like a gust of wind!"

"Yeah, I couldn’t even see what just happened!"

"Could he be some special forces operative from Xuan Country? Yun City is pretty close to Gong Country!"

"It’s highly possible!"

Only then did people turn their attention back to Shan Hao, who was still writhing in pain from his severed fingers. Someone decided to call the police.

However, to everyone’s surprise, when the police arrived, they didn’t arrest Tang Zhong. Instead, Shan Hao was taken into custody on charges of fraud involving over ten million!

At that moment, everyone present became even more convinced that Tang Zhong must be some high-level international special operative—otherwise, how could he sever someone’s fingers and walk away free?

And even more satisfying, Shan Hao’s despicable stone gambling operation was finally exposed and shut down by the authorities!

The events that had taken place here quickly spread like wildfire across Yun City. Almost everyone in the city heard about it.

Meanwhile, in a small breakfast diner, a tall man with a thick beard was eating porridge and steamed buns while watching TV.

The news report on TV spoke of the incident at the stone gambling venue, though only in official-sounding terms.

Yet suddenly, a fleeting scene caught the man’s full attention.

The screen briefly showed a pixelated clip of Tang Zhong using Instantaneous Movement—a small snippet before the broadcast switched to another segment.

The bearded man’s eyes darkened as he dropped his bun and stared at the screen.

"Instantaneous Movement... Isn’t that the kind of stone the Ritual Ministers need? So, it really does exist in Yun City. If that man can use it, the stone must be in his possession."
