Chapter 718: Chapter 718: Kiss Under the Streetlight!

Tang Zhong walked over to Jiang Weiwei’s side.

Without asking what had just happened, Jiang Weiwei said, "Are you okay?"

"I’m fine!" Tang Zhong answered with a smile.

"Oh!" Jiang Weiwei nodded.

The two did not speak again, instead they watched the school gate ahead together.

Suddenly, Jiang Weiwei turned to look at Tang Zhong, "Promise me one thing, okay?"

"Ah?" Tang Zhong was startled by her words and then nodded with a smile, "Rest assured, I’ll agree to anything you say!"

"Promise me that you won’t put yourself in danger again, I really worry about you!" Jiang Weiwei said, her pupils filled with tenderness at that moment.

"Silly kid, I’m not in danger!" Tang Zhong said with a laugh.

"Promise me... okay?" Jiang Weiwei persisted.

"Okay... okay, I promise you!" Tang Zhong replied, still smiling.

"Even if I’m no longer here, you must take care of yourself!" Jiang Weiwei continued.

As soon as she finished speaking, her head began to hurt as if it was being pricked with needles, a dizzy sensation flooded her brain, and the scene in front of her eyes blurred. She struggled to stand firm, absolutely not allowing Tang Zhong to see her like this. Hastily, she squatted down, wrapped her arms around her head, and tried to suppress her discomfort.

Long ago, she had started experiencing this sensation, and no matter how she sought medical help, it was to no avail; no doctor could save her. She did not understand why she got dizzy or what might happen in the future. She had an intuition that perhaps one day, she would die from this dizziness.

She did not want Tang Zhong to be affected by her situation. She absolutely could not let him become distracted by her. If she was to die, she would do it silently. In this life, having loved Tang Zhong was enough for her to depart without regrets.

At this moment, Tang Zhong was still unaware of her condition. Seeing Jiang Weiwei squatting on the ground, he quickly became anxious and asked, "Weiwei, what’s wrong? Are you alright?"

Jiang Weiwei kept her head down, not looking at Tang Zhong. The sweat on her forehead streamed down. She had been through this before and knew resting would make everything better soon. But she could not let Tang Zhong witness this, not at all. She intended to leave a beautiful image in the eyes of her lover.

"What do you think? Can there be something wrong with me? Isn’t it just because of what you did that night..." Jiang Weiwei bit her teeth, enduring the pain that made her want to scream out loud, but she held it back; she could not allow herself to be discovered.

Tang Zhong was a powerful man!

To have him in her life was already more than enough!

Watching Jiang Weiwei squat on the ground, Tang Zhong, who had not realized anything was amiss, smiled and said, "Then how about... we continue tonight?"

"You... pervert... Hmph, I’m ignoring you!" When Jiang Weiwei heard what Tang Zhong said, her heart was immensely stirred. She would rather sleep with Tang Zhong until the end of time, nestled in his arms, just like that forever, never to be separated. But reality is cruel.

Right now, the most important thing for her was to ensure that Tang Zhong did not discover anything was amiss. Fortunately, the dizzy feeling had lessened significantly. She kept her head down to prevent Tang Zhong from seeing her face, quickly wiped the sweat from her forehead with her clothes as if nothing had happened, and then finally stood up. Her pupils were already reddened from the intense pain she had just endured.

Tang Zhong saw it right away: "You... you’ve been crying?"

Jiang Weiwei looked at Tang Zhong and pretended to be annoyed: "You’re the one crying, hmph!"

She turned her head away, refusing to look at Tang Zhong.

"What’s the matter with you?" Tang Zhong grew nervous when he saw Jiang Weiwei crying, his heart bleeding for her.

"And you’re asking me what’s the matter? If you put yourself in danger again next time, don’t blame me for not being polite!" Jiang Weiwei said, trying her best to defend herself and not let Tang Zhong recognize there was a problem.

Laughing upon hearing Jiang Weiwei’s words, Tang Zhong responded, "Oh, I get it, you must have cried!"

Then he embraced Jiang Weiwei in his arms and said, "Silly kid, there’s nothing to cry about. Look, I’m alive and well right here, don’t cry anymore about me being in danger!"

Jiang Weiwei did not resist and leaned into him, hugging Tang Zhong. Oh, how she wished this second could be frozen, how wonderful that would be.

"Tang brother... if I really weren’t here anymore, would you miss me?" Jiang Weiwei murmured.

The people around paid no attention at all to the two of them.

At that moment, the bell within the distant examination hall rang.

It meant the exam was over.

A sea of students came flooding out.

The general student body burst out.

"Teacher Tang, we’re out!"

"Haha!"

A large group quickly surrounded Tang Zhong.

Wei Suo and his friends were overjoyed.

"How did it go?" Tang Zhong couldn’t help but ask.

"Of course, it went well!" nearly half the students said proudly.

Yet, the surrounding students, who were led away by their parents, looked dejected and kept mumbling about how difficult mathematics was. Upon hearing the other students claim it was easy, they were dumbfounded.

"Nonsense, I don’t believe it. Math is so tough!" One student who was tormented by math blurted out desperately.

The class didn’t get angry and simply turned around to say, "It’s very simple, after all, we are students of Teacher Tang!"

"Teacher Tang, the famous teacher? I went to so many tutoring classes before the test to study for math. Tang is so amazing, how come I’ve never heard of him?" the student doubted.

"Of course you haven’t heard of him!" the students said with a laugh.

They were nearly stunned when they got the papers because these were the very same problems Tang Zhong had trained them for, how could they not be shocked.

Tang Zhong could only smile awkwardly. What was the college entrance examination to him? It was nothing at all. As far as knowledge was concerned, he claimed the first place, and no one else dared to claim the second!

But there’s no time to waste here anymore.

Tang Zhong smiled and said, "We still have the whole of tomorrow, everyone should work hard, the future is in your own hands!"

"Don’t worry, Teacher Tang!" The classmates nodded one after another.

And then they all went their separate ways.

Meanwhile, Tang Zhong was taking Jiang Weiwei home as well, holding hands as they walked. No one came to pick them up, so they decided to walk home, which was still some distance away from Shallow Bay community.

Soon, darkness fell.

Tang Zhong held Jiang Weiwei’s hand in front of him.

Since getting together, they had never really had the chance to experience ordinary couple things like a real relationship!

The two walked along a bridge; it was already evening, and the streetlights were on, with vehicles coming and going.

The breeze blew gently, moving their hair and clothes.

The couple played and frolicked, living the life of an ordinary couple, taking out their phones to snap photos, click click click!

Peace signs, duck faces, they did it all.

Even though Tang Zhong was a Martial Arts Grandmaster, in front of Jiang Weiwei, he was just a big boy, willing to give everything for her!

After a while, the two of them finally got tired from their playing.

On the bridge, leaning against the railings, they were breathing heavily.

Jiang Weiwei leaned on the railings, looking out at the sea crashing with waves, feeling a mixture of emotions, deeply troubled. She cherished the feeling of being with Tang Zhong, but with her dizzy spells, still a mystery to her, she could die at any moment, meaning the feeling of being with Tang Zhong could disappear at any moment too.

"Ah..." Suddenly, Jiang Weiwei screamed out loud at the open sea in front of her.

Her voice carried.

Seeing this, Tang Zhong also imitated Jiang Weiwei and screamed into the distance.

"Ah!" Their voices intertwined and flew far away.

"I love Tang Zhong..." Jiang Weiwei shouted with reckless abandon.

"I love Jiang Weiwei even more!" Tang Zhong shouted back.

He had never felt such exhilaration.

Hearing Tang Zhong’s words, Jiang Weiwei shouted again, "I love Tang Zhong even more!"

"I love Jiang Weiwei even more!" Tang Zhong quickly retorted.

The passing cars and their drivers looked at them as if they were watching fools.

"No, you can’t say ’even more’!" Jiang Weiwei protested, grabbing Tang Zhong’s arm.

"Why not?" Tang Zhong asked.

"Because I like to think I love you just a little bit more than you love me!" Jiang Weiwei said.

"Well, I like to think I love you much much more than you love me!" Tang Zhong replied with a laugh.

When Jiang Weiwei heard this, her eyes widened as she looked at Tang Zhong, "Do you really mean what you’re saying?"

"Of course, could there be any doubt!" Tang Zhong replied with a laugh.

Looking at Tang Zhong, Jiang Weiwei felt overwhelming happiness.

"Let’s be in love!" Jiang Weiwei said.

"Okay!" Tang Zhong nodded.

"I’ve always had a dream..." Jiang Weiwei said shyly, smiling at Tang Zhong.

"What dream?" Tang Zhong asked.

"I’ve always fantasized that one day, the person I love would kiss me under a streetlight; it must be such a beautiful scene!" Jiang Weiwei’s girlish heart overflown as she clasped her hands as if holding a glass bottle.

In an instant, Tang Zhong moved, pinning Jiang Weiwei against the light of the streetlamp.

Jiang Weiwei was completely unprepared, her heart beating wildly.

Tang Zhong leaned in to kiss her, his lips gently touching Jiang Weiwei’s, a light peck.

The light illuminated both their eyelashes!

For a moment, it was as if they had forgotten all about time.

Vehicles flowed ceaselessly past and the sea surged against the bridge!

The breeze too continued its gentle sway!

It lasted for quite some time before it ended.

Looking at Jiang Weiwei then, her heartbeat was fiercer, her face flushed red, as if she was almost steaming at the forehead.

"Yes, this moment is truly beautiful!" Tang Zhong said softly, looking at Jiang Weiwei.
