Chapter 801: Chapter 801 Mount Qingcheng

Su Chengyu felt silently relieved, for although Chen Mengmeng was honest, he was also teachable. This was also the reason why Su Chengyu intentionally provided false information; he had to guide Chen Mengmeng to say the phrase that Bei Tang Qimeng was not Number Four, before they could continue their analysis.

Su Chengyu feigned surprise, "Could it be that I guessed wrong? But the coincidence with the Pill of Tribulation as well as the Bone Washing Grass is too uncanny, isn’t it?"

"I remembered now. Number Four once said that the Bone Washing Grass wasn’t found by her, but was traded by her family from the Nine Heavens Dark Web. That proves that Number Four is definitely not Bei Tang Qimeng, but she must be from the Beitang Clan."

Chen Mengmeng also grasped the key information of the Nine Heavens Dark Web that Su Chengyu had provided and immediately drew a conclusion.

Su Chengyu, this elder brother, was quite pleased; Chen Mengmeng was very receptive and caught on quickly.

"Mengmeng, you’re also very smart. In that case, your analysis should be correct, Number Four is indeed from the Beitang Clan. This narrows down our search quite a bit., Just inquire about which members of the younger generation of the Beitang Clan, apart from Bei Tang Qimeng, are cultivators," Su Chengyu concluded.

"Elder brother, I’m not smart. Without the information and direction you provided, I wouldn’t have been able to think of these things," Chen Mengmeng said, scratching his head.

"Let’s continue analyzing Number Five."

After Chen Mengmeng recounted the information about the Green Lotus, Su Chengyu shook his head, "The information is scarce; it’s difficult to ascertain her identity. However, since she is going to the Kunwu Realm for training, you will definitely go too. Perhaps you’ll encounter her, and her identity will be revealed."

"I’m not going to the Kunwu Realm," Chen Mengmeng said.

"Why?" asked Su Chengyu knowingly.

"The master said my opportunity has not yet come. Wait for the next opening to go," Chen Mengmeng replied.

"Well, okay then, we don’t need to analyze Number Six since we’ve already identified them. Let’s talk about the last one, Number Seven," Su Chengyu said.

"Number Seven has even less information, second only in mystery to Number One, who never speaks. It’s difficult to judge," Chen Mengmeng said.

"No matter, we have plenty of time in the future. You might as well chat more with them. Often, key clues can be captured from certain conversations," Su Chengyu advised.

"Alright, I’ll listen to you, elder brother."

Chen Mengmeng was obedient to Su Chengyu’s words, seeing him as intelligent, quick-thinking, insightful, and discerning. Following his advice would not be wrong.

"By the way, elder brother, for this training in the Kunwu Realm, Number Four and Number Five are going, and Number Six, Yang Junmo, will be there too. Perhaps you really will have the chance to meet them," Chen Mengmeng said.

"I’m not an Earth Core Lotus Fragment holder. Whether I meet them or not doesn’t matter, but I’ll keep an eye out for you," Su Chengyu said.

"Thank you, elder brother. Now you should hurry and rest to restore your mana. I’ll go chat with them," Chen Mengmeng said.

Su Chengyu seized the time to recover his mana. The Heaven-Mending Stone had swallowed the Sun Dragon Flame Crystal, and it was uncertain whether it could revive or not. At present, signs of awakening were showing as it was able to transmit faint thoughts to Su Chengyu.

Early the next day, the three of them set out for Mount Qingcheng.

Mount Qingcheng lay on the outskirts of Jincheng, in Shu Zhou, which, alongside Yun Zhou, were both part of the Southwest Seven Provinces. Su Chengyu had once visited Jincheng with Xu Nanzhi and experienced the local delicacies there.

Su Chengyu, carrying Yu Yanshu through the skies via Sword Flight, moved at a slightly slower pace while Chen Mengmeng, standing on the Mengyi Sword, followed alongside.

Over two hours later, the trio landed in front of the gate to Mount Qingcheng. Alongside Mount Longhu, Wudang Mountain, and Zhongnan Mountain, Mount Qingcheng formed one of the present-day Four Holy Lands of Taoism, renowned throughout the world.

Out of the Four Holy Lands, Mount Longhu had the greatest reputation and the strongest influence, being the frontrunner. This was mainly because Mount Longhu had the closest relationship with Xia Nation Officials, with one of the Four Great Heavenly Masters of Mount Longhu being conferred the title of State Preceptor of Xia and stationed long-term in Kyoto, having the ear of the heavens at any moment.

Similarly, someone from Zhongnan Mountain held the position of the chief of the Respectful Heaven Bureau, responsible for formulating the official calendar, calculating solar terms, and observing the trends of the world’s fortunes, also occupying a significant official role.

Therefore, Mount Longhu and Zhongnan Mountain held the highest statuses. Mount Qingcheng and Wudang Mountain, however, seemed a bit more laid-back, without any deliberate intent to cozy up to officials, and naturally, their influence couldn’t compare to that of Mount Longhu and Zhongnan Mountain, which had the support of government.

Nevertheless, within the territory of Shu Zhou, Mount Qingcheng was unique; the throngs of worshippers and tourists visiting were endless. However, the areas accessible to secular visitors were just a small part of Mount Qingcheng—the real Mount Qingcheng lay within a barrier that ordinary people couldn’t enter.

Chen Mengmeng led Su Chengyu and Yu Yanshu straight past the barrier, and what lay before them was the true Mount Qingcheng: formidable and extensive, with immortal cranes soaring, rainbows hanging high, mists swirling about, and lush verdure all around—a vista befitting a holy land of an Immortal Family.

"Master, Mount Qingcheng is so beautiful, and the nature’s spiritual energy is so rich." The sight before her immediately stunned Yu Yanshu.

"This is the grandeur fitting for a Taoist Holy Land," Su Chengyu remarked.

Chen Mengmeng pointed toward the stone staircase in front of them, "This is the Azure Cloud Stairs. Within the gate, casual Sword Flight is not allowed. We’ll climb the Azure Cloud Stairs up the mountain first, then head to Upper Pure Palace, where my master resides."

The stone staircase wound and twisted, vanishing into the distance beyond sight.

The three ascended the mountain along the Azure Cloud Stairs, with Chen Mengmeng explaining the layout of Mount Qingcheng to Su Chengyu along the way. The mountain was divided into the front and the back; the front was mainly where the disciples lived, while the back was a place of purification for the Sect Leader and Elders.

"Mengmeng, how many disciples does Mount Qingcheng have now?" asked Su Chengyu.

"Our Qingcheng Sect is stringent in accepting disciples and doesn’t have the same level of patronage as Mount Longhu and Zhongnan Mountain. Currently, there are one hundred and twenty-eight disciples," Chen Mengmeng replied.

"A hundred and twenty-eight cultivators? That’s incredibly strong, isn’t it? That’s quite a considerable number," Su Chengyu exclaimed in surprise.

"Of course not. Less than one third are Cultivators. Even among the Elders and Martial Uncles, many are not Cultivators. However, all the Elders are above the Transcendent Entering Holiness Realm and are not inferior to Cultivators," Chen Mengmeng explained.

In comparison, Mount Qingcheng’s following truly wasn’t as flourishing. For instance, Mount Longhu boasted three thousand Dragon and Tiger disciples, with an immense following and abundant patronage.

"Little Martial Uncle."

Once up the mountain, they encountered Qing Cheng disciples dressed in Taoist robes, older than Chen Mengmeng, but still respectfully addressing him as "Little Martial Uncle"; who would expect this chubby youngster to be a disciple of the Sect Leader, and thus of high status?

Along the way, they ran into several Qing Cheng disciples: some meditating on cliffside rocks, others hanging upside down from tree branches, and even some chasing monkeys through the woods, each seemingly practicing their own method.

After passing through the front part of the mountain, they reached the quieter back of Mount Qingcheng. On the mountainside stood rows of pavilions. Chen Mengmeng led the trio straight to Upper Pure Palace, the abode of Sect Leader Master Cangqing.
