Chapter 624: Chapter 624 Big Brother-in-law, Hello! _1

Upon hearing Su Chengyu’s explanation, Yang Junmo laughed, "So, you’re grateful to Ye Qingci and regard her as a goddess?"

"Is there a problem?" Su Chengyu retorted.

"Buddy, stop daydreaming. As a white-clad Saint Envoy of the Demon Slayer Department, killing Demon Men is her duty, not a favor to you. Secondly, although she may be aloof and proud, she despises evil and can’t tolerate any injustice. The Dragon Soul Bureau framing you, is something she would automatically intervene when she encounters it, after all, the Dragon Soul Bureau is under the full control of the Ye Family."

"In recent years, the Dragon Soul Bureau has indeed been filled with turmoil. Some of the bigwigs in Kyoto are quite critical of it. I heard that Ye Qingming wants to rectify the Dragon Soul Bureau, so Ye Qingci naturally wouldn’t permit such false accusations and injustices to occur, let alone allow these people to tarnish the Ye Family’s reputation. So, she didn’t help you out of any personal interest, so don’t flatter yourself."

"I can assure you that she doesn’t even notice you, let alone remember you. A woman like her, though incredibly beautiful, is too proud, which can be a turn-off."

Yang Junmo lectured at length to Su Chengyu.

Su Chengyu didn’t argue, but nodded in agreement.

"Is your father the first generation of the Demon Slayer Envoy?" Su Chengyu asked.

"Of course! Since the establishment of the Demon Slayer Department, my father has been the Sect Master." Yang Junmo asserted proudly.

Su Chengyu furrowed his brows. His grandfather had once told him that he and a friend co-founded the Demon Slayer Department and the Dragon Soul Bureau. Based on the information provided by Yang Junmo, his grandfather’s friend could be Ye Qingci’s father, Ye Wujiang, the first Dragon Soul Bureau Master.

He believed that his grandfather would not lie. As the founder of the Demon Slayer Department, he was also the first generation Demon Slayer Department Head. So why do all the records now state that Yang Junmo’s father, Yang Chengyin, was the first Sect Master of the Demon Slayer Department?

Why are there no records of his grandfather?

"I’d like to ask about another person." Su Chengyu’s mind was filled with confusion. Now was the best opportunity to question all this since Yang Junmo likely knew even more crucial information.

"Speak."

"Have you ever heard of Su Linyuan?"

Su Chengyu also had some hesitation. He was worried about arousing Yang Junmo’s suspicion and revealing his identity, but he also trusted that even if Yang Junmo discovered his true identity, he wouldn’t betray him.

So after much deliberation, he couldn’t help but ask.

"Su Linyuan?" Yang Junmo raised his eyebrows.

Su Chengyu’s breath hitched, his heartbeat quickened, "Yes! Lin Yuan, as in ’fishing on the riverbank’ Lin Yuan."

"Never heard of him." Yang Junmo shook his head.

Su Chengyu felt disappointed. If even Yang Junmo had not heard of his grandfather’s name, then all the records and information about his grandfather must have been erased.

Those with the power to erase all records of the first generation Demon Slayer Department Head were but very few in Xia Country, unquestionably the people at the very top of the pyramid.

But why would they do this? What secrets could there be about his grandfather?

Su Chengyu was in a state of turmoil!

"Who is he? Why would you specially ask me about him?" Yang Junmo, not an idiot, immediately questioned.

"I don’t know either. A friend asked me to help him inquire. He said that this man was once a very influential figure in Kyoto." Su Chengyu made up a story.

"Impossible! If he really was such a significant figure in Kyoto, there wouldn’t be one I didn’t know. Maybe your friend’s definition of high-profile is a bit low. Su Linyuan definitely wasn’t any notable big shot. If you are really concerned about it, I will try to help you inquire further, but you need to do me a favor in return, I can’t help you for free."

Yang Junmo spoke with a playful smirk.

"Stop! That won’t be necessary. This is just a small matter a friend asked me to help with; I figured I might as well ask." Su Chengyu said casually.

Yang Junmo didn’t suspect anything, stopping his inquiries on this matter.

"It’s my turn to ask now, isn’t it?"

"I just asked you about one person, and you couldn’t provide any clues. So it doesn’t count. It’s my turn." Su Chengyu quickly said.

"I don’t care! It’s the rules of the game. It’s my turn. Other than Fang Yue and Lin Chuxue, do you have other women?"

Yang Junmo’s focus was clearly different from most.

"Of course!" Su Chengyu said.

"You’re not telling me the other women can compare with Fang Yue and Lin Chuxue, are you?" Yang Junmo asked.

"Each has their merits; it’s hard to compare!"

"Yeah, right! I don’t believe you. That’s not possible, absolutely not possible! You’re not as handsome as me, and you’re not as strong as me. Why are the women you date better than mine? I don’t accept that." Yang Junmo said, clearly annoyed.

Su Chengyu shrugged, "Believe it or not."

The other two women were Gu Ying and Xu Nanzhi. In terms of appearance and temperament, Gu Ying was slightly inferior among the four women, but in Su Chengyu’s eyes, every fish in his pond was perfect.

"Show me a photo. Seeing is believing." Yang Junmo asked jealously.

"You can see the photos, but you have to do me a favor." Su Chengyu grinned.

"What favor do you need?" Yang Junmo cautiously asked.

"My sister has disappeared and is still missing, but I know she’s still alive. Help me find her."

"Are you a loser? Your sister’s missing, and your woman was taken." Yang Junmo commented.

"Maybe. It seems that women who are associated with me tend to encounter misfortunes." Su Chengyu replied, his eyes forlorn.

"Alright, alright! Don’t play the victim with me. Give me the details, I’ll do my best to help you find her. But I can’t guarantee success. You have any idea how hard it is to find a single person among the billions in Xia Country? I’m getting the sense that whenever I play games with you, I am always somehow getting played!"

Yang Junmo had the feeling of being ripped off.

Su Chengyu sent Su Xiaoxiao’s information to Yang Junmo, who looked at it and immediately brightened, "This is your sister?"

"Yes!"

"Brother-in-law, don’t worry. Finding the sister is on me now. As long as she’s still alive, I’m sure I’ll find her. Your sister is so pretty; you should have said so earlier!" Yang Junmo grinned, beating his chest as if giving his word.

Su Chengyu rolled his eyes, not bothering to argue with this old lecher. As long as he could find Su Xiaoxiao, it would be a good thing. Su Chengyu was certain that Su Xiaoxiao would absolutely not like Yang Junmo.

"Then I will take my leave. Contact me as soon as you have news."

As Su Chengyu took off on his sword, Yang Junmo shouted, "You haven’t shown me the photos yet!"

"My women, why would I show you their pictures!"

Su Chengyu’s voice echoed on the hill, but he had already flown away.

Su Chengyu didn’t stop, nor did he return to Suifeng. He directly flew toward Lin Jiang on his sword.

This meeting with Yang Junmo carried much significance for him. At the very least, he got some useful clues. However, regarding his family and his grandfather, he was still left empty-handed, which merely deepened his confusion!
