After a while, Shen Junrou took a sip of water and broke the silence. "He’s not my cousin, I have no relation to him at all."

Su Chengyu did not interrupt her. He could tell that Shen Junrou had a lot hidden deep within her. If she was willing to talk about it, he would willingly listen.

Shen Junrou replied sadly, "Maybe this is just my destiny. How can I change it?"

"If you want to change all of this, I can help you."

Su Chengyu felt compassion for Shen Junrou. Her story had touched a soft spot in his heart.

Shen Junrou gave a bitter smile. "No need. I’m already satisfied that you’ve listened to my story without looking down on me. I don’t dare to, and don’t wish to think about anything else."

Having said that, Shen Junrou stood up, bowed to Su Chengyu and added, "Thank you, I have to leave now."

"Where are you going?" Su Chengyu asked.

"Home," replied Shen Junrou, her tone slightly different.

As Shen Junrou walked towards the door, Su Chengyu caught up with her, "Since Mao Xingren is dead, the Shen and Mao Families will question you. Tell them it was me, Su Cheng of Jiangdong, who killed him. Once they learn of my identity, Mao Taixi is unlikely to harass you."

"Alright."

Shen Junrou nodded slightly, opened the door, and left.
