This punch nearly knocked Gu Ying unconscious. The man was still not satisfied; he kicked Gu Ying several times, making her shriek. Several of her ribs were broken.

"You deserved to be punched to death, you lowlife!" The boy’s mother spat, while fixing her hair, she gloated.

Fortunately, at this point, the community security arrived in time to refrain the man, or Gu Ying might have been beaten to death.

"I’m sparing your life today, but if there’s a next time, I’ll kill you!"

After the man was pulled away, wiping the blood from his knuckles, he spat at Gu Ying, then left with his wife and son.

"This is outrageous, it’s extreme wickedness. We must get the police involved. With people like them living in our community, who would dare to let their kids out to play?" One of the community owners chimed in.

"What’s the use of calling the police? Stop meddling! That man is from the Black Dragon Commerce Association. We can’t afford to offend him. This mother and daughter will just have to swallow their loss."

As the crowd gradually dispersed, everyone left feeling shaken.

By the time Su Chengyu returned to the community and slipped quietly through the door intending to surprise Gu Ying and her daughter, he found that there was no one home.

"They’re out?"
