Xu Shenghe said angrily.

Su Chengyu scoffed, "I came with heartfelt congratulations and a generous gift, which you dismissed. Then you tried to force me into submission with a useless token, wanting me to serve the Xu family. When I refused, you wanted to kill me, but you couldn’t. Now, you’re crying for revenge—it is ridiculously pathetic! This is the ugly truth about all you so-called righteous people."

"You’ve lost face, but isn’t that because you were so eager to put it on the line in the first place?"

Having spoken, Su Chengyu called out to his pet dog lying nearby. Instantly, the golden retriever trotted towards him.

"What are you up to?" Xu Shenghe inquired.

"I’d rather feed this to a dog than give it to you."
