Chapter 447: Chapter 447: Exploring Nine Peaks Mountain at Night_1

Xie Jinshan was severed into two halves by a single sword strike, yet his grandmaster life force was so strong that it didn’t immediately expire. Angry eyes wide open, he watched his own separate half being drained of life at an alarming speed, and he found it hard to believe.

He, as a second rank grandmaster, was unexpectedly cleaved by an unknown youngster with a single sword stroke!

"You....."

Xie Jinshan slowly lifted his hand, his face full of resentment and terror. He only managed to utter a single word before he expired.

Yuan Ping and his companions, taken by surprise, witnessed Xie Jinshan’s death in an instant. They were rooted to the spot, dumbfounded, unable to believe what had just happened.

"Elder... Elder brother!"

The eyes of Xie Jinshan’s two disciples were bulging with rage as they screamed at the top of their lungs. Yuan Ping was the first to react, crying in terror: "Run!"

Yuan Ping was so terrified that his legs became weak. Even though he shouted at them to run, he stumbled and bumbled, rolling and crawling away.

This scene completely terrorized the trio, who had never witnessed such a terrifying spectacle in their lives.

Xie Jinshan’s two disciples also regained their composure, consumed by fear, and hurriedly fled for their lives.

"Yan’er, kill them." Su Chengyu handed the blood-drenched Lancang sword to Yu Yanshu.

"Master... I..."

Being just eighteen, Yu Yanshu spent twelve years in a psychiatric hospital before she met Su Chengyu and lived an extremely humble and hard life of poverty after her discharge.

Although she now has an acquired ability, she naturally dare not commit murder.

"Don’t be afraid! You have already stepped onto the path of cultivation, which is against nature’s will. This world is cruel. Imagine the situation if I wasn’t powerful enough today, both of us would have been killed. You’ll have to take this step eventually, go!"

At the urging of Su Chengyu, Yu Yanshu gritted her teeth, tightened her grip on the longsword, and chased after Yuan Ping and the others.

Both the strength and the skill of the three men were that of grandmasters. But their courage was shattered by Su Chengyu, leaving them virtually defenseless – perfect targets for Yu Yanshu’s practice.

Yu Yanshu caught up to Yuan Ping and knocked him to the ground with a kick.

"Spare me! Please, don’t kill me! My father is the Hall Master of the Black Dragon Commerce Association. If you kill me, it’ll bring you big trouble!"

Yuan Ping begged for mercy while hinting a threat, but Yu Yanshu still couldn’t bring herself to strike him with her sword.

"Yan’er, you must not let your kindness hinder you. Kill him!"

Su Chengyu had already walked up to Yu Yanshu and spoke with a stern tone.

"Master... I can’t do it." Yu Yanshu replied fearfully.

"Big brother, I truly regret my actions. I shouldn’t have disrespected and provoked your disciple; forget the nonsense I blurted out. Please show mercy and spare my life. Anything you want, I can provide you. Killing me would bring you no benefit at all!"

Yuan Ping was terrified out of his wits, his pants wet with fear. He hadn’t enjoyed his life of wealth and glory enough to be ready for death.

Su Chengyu paid no heed to Yuan Ping’s pleas, grabbed Yu Yanshu’s wrist, and her longsword sliced through Yuan Ping’s neck. Blood spewed on Yu Yanshu’s face. She was trembling and her Lancang sword fell to the ground.

Yuan Ping clutched his neck, his eyes widened, he made gurgling sounds before he fell to the ground.

Knowing he had the backing of the Black Dragon Commerce Association, Yuan Ping had walked through Jianghuai unchallenged. He never imagined that his curiosity to visit Anyang town would cost him his life!

Su Chengyu didn’t press Yu Yanshu to take action again, as something like this couldn’t be accomplished all at once. She needed time to adapt.

With a pinch, Su Chengyu activated a sword technique, the Lanyong sword flew out, slaying the two fleeing disciples of Wan Jue Men.

Yu Yanshu stood still in her original position, her face filled with fear. Su Chengyu wiped the blood off her face with a tissue and used his Divine Sense to jolt her awake.

"Master, I’m sorry, I’m useless, I’ve disappointed you."

Looking at the bodies before her, Yu Yanshu’s expression eased somewhat.

"I felt the same way when I killed for the first time. You should go back to the car now, I will handle things here." Su Chengyu said.

Yu Yanshu headed back to the car, while Su Chengyu burned the bodies of the four to ashes, successfully covering their tracks, before driving away from the scene.

After driving along the river bank for more than ten kilometers, Su Chengyu parked the car and turned to Yu Yanshu, "Yan’er, do you think your Master is also ruthless and brutal?"

Yu Yanshu shook her head, "Yan’er never thought so. They were all vicious, wicked people who brought it upon themselves."

Su Chengyu nodded, "As long as you understand this! We train hard, strive against the odds, and seek great power to protect ourselves and those important to us. If anyone stands in our way, we must use the sword in our hands to cut through the thorns and eliminate all threats. If you don’t kill, they will kill you. We don’t murder innocents or harm good people, but for those who deserve to die, we don’t need to show mercy."

"Take Huang Xianba for example. He was lustful and cruel, causing misery for many innocents. If I hadn’t chopped off his feet, more people would’ve suffered from him. And those guys just now, whether from Wan Jue Men or the Black Dragon Commerce Association, are not ones we can stand against at the moment. Had I not killed them to keep them quiet, we would’ve been in danger of being retaliated against by their higher-ups tomorrow, and what would be our fate then?"

After patiently imparting these lessons, Su Chengyu noticed Yu Yanshu’s mindset gradually maturing.

"Yan’er understands, thank you for your teachings, Master."

Su Chengyu smiled in relief, took out a fresh set of clothes for Yu Yanshu from his storage bag and gave them to her.

"Change your clothes. After midnight, we will explore Nine Peaks Mountain."

Su Chengyu got out of the car, went to a rock by the river and sat cross-legged, refining the scarce spiritual energy from nature.

For Su Chengyu, these fragments of spiritual energy were merely a drop in the ocean, due to their rarity. He could only hope that this trip to Nine Peaks Mountain would yield some precious resources, so that he could refine more elixirs to aid in his cultivation.

At three in the morning, Su Chengyu opened his eyes, called for Yu Yanshu in the car, summoned the Lanyong sword, and together, they rode the sword into the sky, heading towards Nine Peaks Mountain.

The night was moonless, the sky pitch-dark, hiding their flight in the sky from prying eyes.

Nine Peaks Mountain stretched for dozens of miles, and the area with unusual phenomena was somewhere inside the mountain. Su Chengyu slowly circled the entire Nine Peaks Mountain, allowing Yu Yanshu to observe with her Primordial Eye.

"Master, I see it now. There’s a barrier in the mountainside creek on the west side." Yu Yanshu suddenly said.

Su Chengyu immediately rode the sword towards the direction pointed out by Yu Yanshu, landing on a cliff two kilometers outside the creek.

The mountainous terrain of Nine Peaks Mountain was steep, and there were few pathways to the top. Most places were rugged cliffs and precipices, untouched by humans.

With the range of Su Chengyu’s current divine sense, he was able to reach the outside of the creek, where tents were set up, and over thirty members of the Dragon Soul Si Master group were stationed. On both sides of the creek was a narrow path, the only passage available.

The Dragon Soul Si Master group, the guards stationed here, were effectively controlling the single pathway, and Su Chengyu felt the presence of a barrier at the entrance to the creek.

Among these Dragon Soul Si Masters, Su Chengyu noticed that two of them had particularly powerful presences. They were higher-ranking grandmasters with considerable strength.

Su Chengyu withdrew his divine sense and a daring idea emerged in his mind.
