"How can you be fine?! I almost died from fear! You were stabbed several times and covered in blood." Gu Ying expressed her worry and concern.

Su Chengyu lifted the blanket and his clothes, jumped out of the hospital bed, startling Gu Ying. There was no wound on Su Chengyu’s abdomen, not even the slightest trace of one.

"How is that possible? I clearly saw you being stabbed. The doctor even had to sew up your wound..."

Su Chengyu gestured for her to be silent. "This is my secret. Don’t tell anyone else. If I could cure Little Shuang from a severe injury, this small wound of mine is nothing. I purposely let them wound me. That person was too dangerous and didn’t care about anyone. I feared he might seek revenge on you and your daughter, but I couldn’t kill him, so I took this desperate measure instead."

This finally dawned on Gu Ying. She recalled how Su Chengyu had resuscitated a dying Gu Xiao Shuang and understood her own confusion due to extreme concern. She appreciated Su Chengyu’s intent even more.

Gu Ying pressed her lips together, darted over in a flurry, and hugged Su Chengyu, her eyes welling with tears, "You really scared me to death."

Su Chengyu left the hospital with Gu Ying and took her back to the café. Gu Ying called in some workers to fix the damaged café.

At that moment, Su Chengyu received a call from Chen Yuanheng, informing him that someone had delivered a substantial amount of medicinal herbs.

As Su Chengyu left the café to pick up the herbs from Chen Yuanheng’s company, he spotted Fang Yue in a car passing by on the opposite side of the road. She was on a call and happened to catch a glimpse of Su Chengyu.

Speaking out of turn, Chen Yuanheng voiced, "To be honest, in terms of sourcing herbs, the Black Dragon Commerce Association does not have as many resources as our Wanrong Group. You don’t need to cooperate with Feng Huaqiang."

"Cooperate? There is no cooperation between him and me."

After saying this, Su Chengyu left with the herbs. Chen Yuanheng was somewhat puzzled. Since he was not seeking a partnership with Feng Huaqiang, he must want to apologize for injuring Feng Jing last time.

"Sure."

Su Chengyu disrobed and walked towards the bathroom. Gu Ying’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment. The scar from her cesarean section had already faded significantly. Given more time, it would disappear entirely.
