Chapter 358: Chapter 358: The Great Grandmaster Attacks!_1

"What is it? Hurry up, you’re interrupting my sleep," Little White said impatiently.

Su Chengyu detailed the incident of the green jade piece to Little White, who said, "Show me the jade piece."

"I can’t take it out; it’s embedded in the flesh of my chest. Do you want to touch it and see?" Su Chengyu said helplessly.

"No touching!" Little White retorted haughtily.

"Do you know anything about this thing or not?" Su Chengyu questioned.

"No idea," Little White responded while licking its paw.

"Then get lost! What use are you? A few hundred years of living and you know nothing..." Su Chengyu rolled his eyes.

Little White bared his teeth and snarled at Su Chengyu, "Damn you Su Chengyu, I’ll swallow you whole someday."

Su Chengyu threw a Fire Talisman at Little White, who jumped in fright and darted away. Su Chengyu waved his hand, and the talisman extinguished instantly.

He touched his chest, feeling uneasy about the jade piece lodged within him, which even Little White knew nothing about.

After driving away Little White, Su Chengyu immediately took out a vial and swallowed a Heavenly Pill, activating his inner spell to absorb the medicinal power and advancing towards the ninth level of Qi Cultivation.

The next morning, Xu Nanzhi woke up to find Su Chengyu absent. She knew he must be practicing.

Feeling the abnormality in her body, Xu Nanzhi quickly took two resurrection pills. Her condition was worsening, and now she needed two pills to alleviate her pain.

Besides, she was having the same dream every day, a dream that was vivid and terrifying.

The palace in her dream was majestic and immense, but upon entering, it filled her with a sense of dread and horror.

In the early stages of her dream, she would only linger around the entrance. Later, she could venture inside, making a little more progress each day as if she could now approach the altar inside the palace.

The altar was huge, embellished with eight statues that looked less like humans and more like vivid, fierce monsters that incited fear in the viewer.

In the center of the altar was a bronze coffin, and she could distinctly feel a mysterious force from within it, summoning her to approach.

But she couldn’t approach the coffin yet, and she was particularly curious to know what was inside.

However, Xu Nanzhi also had a strong premonition that the day she approached the bronze coffin and opened it would signify her impending death.

She felt that perhaps, the coffin was prepared just for her.

All she could do now was to cherish each day.

In the office of the Holy Feather Charitable Foundation, Lin Chuxue went to the company every day. After the last press conference where Su Chengyu slew the Ninth Grade Grandmaster, his reputation had soared, attracting many patrons.

As a result, Lin Chuxue was extremely busy with her increased workload.

"Boss Lin, there’s a man outside claiming to be from Haizhou. He insists on giving you some crucial news," Lin Chuxue’s secretary reported.

"Haizhou? Let him in," Lin Chuxue nodded slightly.

Soon, the secretary led a middle-aged woman into the office. Lin Chuxue looked up and asked, "Who are you?"

"Shu Yu Ge sent me to deliver a message to Mr. Su Chengyu. The Han family is sending a Great Grandmaster to Linjiang to investigate Han Cheng Yun’s death. I would recommend Mr. Su prepares himself," the middle-aged woman said.

Hearing this, Lin Chuxue was startled and questioned, "Shu Yu Ge? Does she have such good intentions? I bet she wishes Mr. Su would just drop dead!"

"Miss Shu said she regrets the misunderstanding and conflicts that occurred during her visit to Linjiang. She is also grateful to Mr. Su for saving her life. I have delivered the message, whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you," said the middle-aged woman before leaving Lin Chuxue’s office.

Regardless of whether the news was accurate or not, Lin Chuxue couldn’t take it lightly. She hurriedly dialed Su Chengyu’s number on her phone.

Su Chengyu was currently in closed-door cultivation, attempting to reach the ninth level of Qi Cultivation. Unable to reach him as his phone was switched off, Lin Chuxue had no choice but to call Xu Nanzhi.

"Sister NanZhi, I just received some urgent news." Lin Chuxue quickly relayed the message to Xu Nanzhi, who immediately took the information seriously.

"If a Great Grandmaster does arrive, Su Chengyu will be in danger. But he’s currently in closed-door cultivation, and I don’t want to disturb him," Xu Nanzhi noted.

"What should we do then?" In her concern for Su Chengyu, Lin Chuxue was feeling frantic and disoriented.

"Let’s just hope they don’t come too soon. Don’t worry too much, I’ll think of something," Xu Nanzhi said, despite knowing there wasn’t much they could do if a Great Grandmaster were to arrive. Who could possibly stop them?

Even the most powerful person in Linjiang, apart from Su Chengyu, was Grand Marshal Stone Sword Edge, and even he wouldn’t stand a chance against a Great Grandmaster! For a moment, Xu Nanzhi was at a loss.

However, she conjectured that it would take time for their opponent to arrive from Haizhou, and hoped they could think of a plan once Su Chengyu ended his cultivation.

Lin Chuxue had barely hung up when her father, Lin Zhiyuan, called her.

These days, Lin Zhiyuan was on cloud nine, basking in the glory of being hailed as the father-in-law of the renowned Su Chengyu. No one in Linjiang dared to cross him.

The Lin family has now become the most affluent family in Linjiang, but Lin Zhiyuan’s ambition went way beyond that.

The two medicinal products from Lin Pharmaceutical Company had successfully launched, with tremendous market response. Lin Zhiyuan planned to extend their market to other cities in Jiangdong to increase sales.

He was confident that these two medicines alone could propel the Lin family from being Linjiang’s top family to among the wealthiest in Jiangdong.

"Chu Xue, you need to warn Su Chengyu to hide immediately. Someone’s trying to kill him," Lin Zhiyuan said over the phone.

"Who wants to kill him? And how do you know?" Lin Chuxue asked, baffled.

"Someone came to my office and barged in, asking me about Su Chengyu’s whereabouts. Of course, I wouldn’t tell. After all, he is my future son-in-law. But the man suddenly choked my neck, threatening to kill me... I had no choice but to disclose Su Chengyu’s address," Lin Zhiyuan explained.

Upon hearing this, Lin Chuxue inwardly exclaimed, could it be the Great Grandmaster from Haizhou?

"Dad! Do you know who it was?" Lin Chuxue didn’t have the time to blame her father. Faced with a threat to his life, he wouldn’t have been able to keep any secrets.

"How would I know? It was a tall, burly, middle-aged man. He spoke with a somewhat Haizhou-like accent," Lin Zhiyuan explained.

"Damn it!"

Lin Chuxue quickly hung up the phone, rushing out of her office. As she ran, she dialed Xu Nanzhi’s number.

"Sister NanZhi, the Han family’s Great Grandmaster has reached Linjiang. He has located my father and coerced him into giving up ChengYu’s whereabouts. I fear he is now headed towards Yulong Bay," Lin Chuxue reported.

"What?! He’s heading towards Yulong Bay?" Xu Nanzhi blanched upon hearing the news. Who could possibly resist a Great Grandmaster?
