Su Chengyu glanced at Little White with his dull eyes and didn’t respond, continuing to gaze at Su Xiaoxiao’s videos and photos on his phone.

"Stop looking!"

Little White swiped it’s paw and knocked the phone out of Su Chengyu’s hand. Su Chengyu quickly crawled over to pick it up, but Little White was faster. Like a flash of white lightning, it struck with a swipe of its paw, sending Su Chengyu’s phone flying into the wall where it shattered.

"My phone!"

Su Chengyu was taken aback and cried out in alarm. The phone was already smashed to pieces and would no longer turn on.

Little White brushed its paw, saying, "You’re welcome!"

"You! I’m going to kill you!"

Su Chengyu was instantly furious, murderous intent boiling in his eyes. He tried to attack Little White, but Little White was agile, swiftly dodging several attacks from Su Chengyu.

Inside the study, man and cat chased each other, with Su Chengyu looking deadly serious. His gaze was filled with cruelty, his attacks showing no mercy as he tried to hurt Little White.

"Damnit! You should die! I’ll kill you, you damn beast!" Su Chengyu’s eyes were bloodshot, his face savage as he called out his Dragon Slayer Sword, appearing ferocious and menacing.

Outside the study, Lin Chuxue and Xu Nanzhi heard the commotion and exchanged looks.

"What’s going on inside?" Lin Chuxue asked in confusion.

"Let’s break down the door together!"

With a combined effort, the two women managed to break down the study door. They saw Su Chengyu brandishing his Dragon Slayer Sword, anger overflowing as he swung it with all his might. A burst of Sword Qi erupted from the sword, aiming at Little White.

Little White, standing on the desk, avoided the Sword Qi. Its fur stood on end, and its tail shot up. It let out a ’meow’ sound, darted out of the way, and leapt into Xu Nanzhi’s arms.

The Sword Qi instantly split the solid oak desk in half, tearing a gash in the bookshelf mounted on the wall and leaving a deep mark on the wall behind it.

Xu Nanzhi and Lin Chuxue were startled upon witnessing this scene.

The power behind Su Chengyu’s sword was enormous. What frightened the two women was Su Chengyu’s current condition. His unkempt appearance, savage expressions, billowing murderous aura, and bloodshot eyes were truly terrifying.

Su Chengyu, missing with his first strike, approached Xu Nanzhi with the Dragon Slayer Sword in hand.

"ChengYu! What’s wrong with you? Are you trying to kill me?"

Su Chengyu’s current appearance was terrifying. Xu Nanzhi shouted, Su Chengyu’s eyes flickered, and he appeared to struggle. His Dragon Slayer Sword trembled as if he were locked in an internal conflict.

After a moment, Su Chengyu wilted like a deflated balloon. The Dragon Slayer Sword fell to the ground, and he collapsed, limp.

Lin Chuxue didn’t hesitate despite her fear and quickly ran over to support Su Chengyu.

The murderous intent on Su Chengyu’s face disappeared rapidly, and his eyes grew clearer.

That sword stroke earlier had used up all of his Mana. With that stroke, all the negative emotions lingering in his heart were released, and he regained his sanity.

"ChengYu... you were scaring us!" Lin Chuxue said, panicking.

"I... I’m alright now. It’s just that Xiaoxiao... I will never see her again." The pain in Su Chengyu’s voice was palpable as a single tear escaped from his eye.

"Xiaoxiao might not be in any trouble. You have to take care of yourself first, only then can you continue looking for Xiaoxiao," Lin Chuxue comforted him.

Xu Nanzhi also stepped in, offering her condolences to a visibly relieved Su Chengyu.

Little White leaped aside, muttering in its heart that Su Chengyu was good for nothing. He had almost killed it with his sword!

What Little White did was just an attempt to help Su Chengyu break free from his inner demons and let all his negative emotions vent. If not, he would indeed have destroyed himself.

Xu Nanzhi and Lin Chuxue helped Su Chengyu back to his room to rest. They didn’t leave his side out of fear that something bad might happen again.

Su Chengyu realized that what had happened could no longer be changed, no matter what he did. He could only suppress all his pain, improve his strength, and only then would he be able to find out who had harmed Su Xiaoxiao.
