"Dad, wait for me to finish my work and I’ll take you to the hospital. As for that Su Chengyu, he’s just a self-publicist. He’s no divine doctor. Don’t listen to those people’s nonsense."

Xu Bin paid no attention to Xu Nanzhi’s words.

Xu Daqiang and Luo Guiying trusted what Xu Bin said. A single sentence from their biological son was more credible than ten from their adopted daughter, Xu Nanzhi.

"Let’s follow your advice. Given that your sister is back, why don’t you book a restaurant? We can have a family dinner tonight." Xu Daqiang suggested.

"I have dinner plans tonight, so I can’t join you guys. Sis, spend some time with mom and dad. I have to go now."

Xu Bin hurried away again shortly after returning home.

Xu Nanzhi decided to stay overnight at her parents’ house. After going back to her room, she called Su Chengyu.

"Isn’t it all for your sake? Besides, he is like a younger uncle to me, so I have to leave him some dignity," Su Chengyu replied.

"If he causes any more trouble in the future, you should teach him a lesson. He won’t learn unless he suffers. Being too lenient just boosts his arrogance. This problem was spoiled into him by my adoptive parents." Xu Nanzhi said.

"Alright! As long as I have your approval, I’ll discipline him as your brother-in-law next time," Su Chengyu laughed.

After hanging up, Su Chengyu bought some food and went to Li Yuancang’s home to visit Mr. and Mrs. Zeng Yifan.

Zeng Yifan’s injuries were healing significantly, but he still needed time to recover from his broken ribs.

"Stay for dinner tonight and experience my wife’s cooking," Zeng Yifan invited.

"Sure! Then I won’t be polite," Su Chengyu accepted.

"Chengyu, please make yourself comfortable. I may not capable of much else, but I can indeed cook a fine meal." Shen Yuye said warmly.

"Yifan is truly lucky to have married you. You are as virtuous in the house as you are dignified in public. A great wife is hard to find, even with a lantern."

As Su Chengyu lavished on praises, Zeng Yifan also acknowledged, "You’re absolutely right. Marrying Yuye was indeed my greatest fortune."

After Shen Yuye made tea for Su Chengyu, she went to prepare dinner in the kitchen. In the living room, Su Chengyu shared his plans with Zeng Yifan, asking for his advice.
