Fang Qing helped Su Chengyu into her car and left the Dragon Soul headquarters.

"Don’t drop me home, I worry that Stone Sword Edge might plot something against me. Just find me a hotel to stay first."

Fang Qing drove back to the city. Her home, located in a nice neighborhood, wasn’t far from the crime investigation team.

"You’re quite rich, able to afford a house in this neighborhood. Have you gained much from your little side gig?" Su Chengyu teased.

"I wouldn’t do that. This house was bought by my older sister. I could never afford it on my salary."

Su Chengyu was just joking with Fang Qing. He knew that although she had some prideful tendencies, she was a person who had a strong sense of justice at heart. With the background of the Fang Family, she could have been much more than a crime investigation team leader, even joining the Dragon Soul.

Fang Qing entered her lock code on a keypad in front of Su Chengyu. Su Chengyu laughed, "Couldn’t you hide the code while you punch it in? Aren’t you afraid I might sneak in while you’re asleep?"

"You dare! You can remember the code yourself, this way you can go out when I’m not home."

Entering her home, Fang Qing’s apartment was not opulent. A two-bedroom property, the decor was simple and the furniture was ordinary. The air had a faint scent of jasmine, with workout equipment scattered about the living room.

"Sit in the living room for a bit while I clean up a room for you, make the bed, and then I’ll go buy some clothes for you."

Su Chengyu was covered in blood and horrific wounds. Seeing him like this broke Fang Qing’s heart.

"No need, I brought my clothes, I’d like to take a shower first," Su Chengyu replied.

"You brought clothes? Where?" Fang Qing puzzled.

Su Chengyu plucked out a set of clean clothes from the storage bag, which startled Fang Qing.

"Are you... performing magic? Where did these clothes come from?"

Su Chengyu, who now trusted Fang Qing fully, didn’t want to keep anything from her. He took out the storage bag, "This is a storage bag of a cultivator, it can hold a lot of stuff, it’s what people call ’World within the Mustard Seed.’"

"You... are you a cultivator?!"

Fang Qing had heard of cultivators, although she had never met one in person.

Fang Qing was a smart woman, and she understood the implications of being a cultivator, and the danger of casually revealing it.

Besides, she felt pleased at heart that Su Chengyu was willing to share this important secret with her, as it showed his trust in her and reciprocity towards their intimacy.

"So, don’t worry about my injuries, they aren’t that serious. It was just the physical pain at that time that I could hardly bear," Su Chengyu said with a smile.

"Do you know when I walked into the interrogation room and saw you covered in blood and injured all over... I was scared to death, I almost wanted to fight to the death with Stone Sword Edge."

After saying that, Fang Qing went to make Su Chengyu’s bed, while Su Chengyu went to the bathroom to take a shower and then recover from his injuries.

The place wasn’t big and only had one bathroom. As soon as Su Chengyu entered, he saw Fang Qing’s clothes that she’d changed out of. It looked like she hadn’t had a chance to clean them yet.

"No... No more, you... you can use mine."

"I won’t hold back then!"

Su Chengyu then quickly dried himself and, wrapped in the white bath towel, walked out of the bathroom.

"Your... your bed, I’ve made it."

Seeing Su Chengyu wrapped in her bath towel, Fang Qing felt a little strange. Her personal things have never been touched by any other man.

"Okay... but there is something I’m not sure whether to ask you or not," Su Chengyu hesitated.

"What is it? Just ask, don’t hesitate, it doesn’t seem like you!" Fang Qing answered generously.

"Do you have any inflammation in your body? Is your hormonal balance off?" Su Chengyu asked.

"How... how did you know?" Fang Qing was surprised.

Su Chengyu scratched his head and pointed to the bathroom, "Your clothes are in there, I saw some secretions on your underwear, the color and odor didn’t seem normal."

Upon hearing this, Fang Qing realized she’d forgotten to throw her dirty clothes into the washing machine the night before. Her pretty face turned bright red as if on fire, and she wished she could find a place to hide, she felt so embarrassed!

Fang Qing quickly rushed into the bathroom and hid the clothes. Just then a thought struck her, how did Su Chengyu discover the oddity?
