Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Educating You for Your Father_1
Su Chengyu had a sweet in his hand, leisurely eating it. It was quite apparent that Tang Jie intended to gain prestige by stepping on him, and that was something he couldn’t tolerate.
"Young Master Tang, I fear you might not be a match for Su Chengyu; after all, he is a half-step Grandmaster." someone said with a laugh.
Tang Jie burst into loud laughter, "In a one-on-one fight, indeed, I am not his match. But would he dare to touch even one of my hairs? Let me tell you, for martial arts training, you’ve only really started when you’ve become a Grandmaster. Everything below a Grandmaster is worthless."
"My dad is an authentic Grandmaster, and this so-called half-step Grandmaster is just a fancy term, nothing more. In the face of a real Grandmaster, it means nothing."
Tang Jie relaxed into his chair, going along with the flattery of the others.
"Exactly! Young Master Tang’s dad is Master Tang. However strong Su Chengyu might be, in the presence of a Grandmaster, he would be terrified out of his wits."
"Young Master Tang is indeed impressive! On this matter, I think Young Master Tang has the most say. After all, we’re all laymen."
Tang Jie quite enjoyed this flattery, proudly stating, "Believe it or not, Su Chengyu wouldn’t dare even to fart in front of me. Despite his show of power in the gym, he can only strut around among those below the Grandmaster level. If I ask him to move east, he wouldn’t dare to go west. If I order him to kneel, he wouldn’t dare to stand!"
"After all, Su ChengYu doesn’t have any strong backing, him being a half-step Grandmaster simply isn’t of any importance." Tang Jie continued.
Su Chengyu tossed a date into his mouth, spat the seed onto his middle finger, and flicked it straight at the back of Tang Jie’s head.
Although Su Chengyu only used about a third of his strength, it was still enough to hurt Tang Jie. He let out a yelp of pain as he bounced out of his chair, clutching the back of his head, which was now bleeding!
"Who was that? Who’s the bloody bastard that dares to attack me? Are you courting death?" Tang Jie cursed loudly.
"It’s your grandpa Su teaching you, a rude, disrespectful brat, a lesson!"
SuCchengyu dusted off his hands and walked over to them.
It was then that everyone noticed Su Chengyu, and they immediately recognized him.
"Su ChengYyu?!"
"He’s here too?"
After the gym duel with Su Chengyu, videos of the fight had circulated everywhere. Many had seen the videos and recognized him at a glance.
"We’re in for a show, I can’t wait to see if Su Chengyu really wouldn’t dare even to fart in front of Tang Jie."
Some people couldn’t help but laugh at the situation with schadenfreude.
Tang Jie’s face darkened. The words he had spoken earlier were boastful and pretentious, but they also represented genuinely what he believed.
After the duel, Su Chengyu had gained fame, and Tang Jie’s dad, Tang Jin, personally commented that Su Chengyu was nothing amazing and was worthless in front of a Grandmaster.
Naturally, Tang Jie didn’t see Su ChengYu as a threat either.
"Su ChengYu! Are you courting death? Do you know who I am? You dare to insult me! Kneel now and apologize to me, and I might let it slide and act like nothing happened!"
Tang Jie didn’t back down, even though he knew he was no match for Su Chengyu. But he could brag about his father, a Martial Arts Grandmaster. He looked down on anyone below a Grandmaster.
SuCchengyu, hearing this, had a cold smile on his lips. He walked forward step by step, causing the others to step back.
"What are you trying to do? I warn you, my dad is the third hoighest ranked Grandmaster, Tang Jin. You can’t afford to offend him...."
Seeing Su Chengyu’s hostile approach, Tang Jie instinctively backed away.
"Grandmaster Tang Jin, huh..... He doesn’t respect me. Good, because I don’t respect him either. You want to look good by stepping on me? I will not let you."
Finished speaking, Su Chengyu raised his hand to slap Tang Jie. While Tang Jie had some aptitude for martial arts, he was only a second-grade Internal Strength Master. In front of Su Chengyu, he had no chance to respond at all.
Whack!
With a crisp slap, Tang Jie found himself being slapped squarely on the face by Su Chengyu, who violently sent him flying off.
Hiss!
The crowd gasped in shock at the sight. This was the son of a Grandmaster, and yet Su Chengyu struck him without a second thought, showing no respect.
"This is indeed the ruthless man who dared to take on two opponents in a fight to the death. He doesn’t even respect a Grandmaster."
"I heard Master Tang is present. I’d like to see how Su Chengyu is going to smooth this over. When a Grandmaster makes a move, it isn’t a trivial matter."
"Offending a Grandmaster, really isn’t a smart move!"
The crowd started to chatter. Some admired Su ChengYu, while others felt that Su ChengYu was too impulsive and shouldn’t have offended a Grandmaster.
"If I were Su Chengyu, I couldn’t stand it either! Listen to those words of Tang Jie, so disrespectful. Somebody is at least a half-step Grandmaster, don’t they have any dignity?"
"Tang Jie overdid it. Su ChengYu is evidently not easy to provoke."
Tang Jie struggled off the floor, spitting out a mouthful of blood along with two molars. Half of his face was swelling up rapidly. His head was ringing, his vision blurred and his face was burning with pain.
"With such poor skills, you dare to show off? You’re making a fool of yourself."
Su ChengYu said contemptuously.
In full view of the crowd, being beaten into such a pitiful state, Tang Jie was both ashamed and furious. He clutched his face as he cursed furiously.
"Son of a bitch! Su, you dare to hit me in public, you’re done for, you’re dead! My dad won’t let you go, nobody can save you today."
Hearing this, Su ChengYu’s eyes flashed with cold light as he slightly shook his head, "Seems like I went too easy on you. You still haven’t learned your lesson."
Ever so slightly moving, Su Chengyu had already reached Tang Jie. Filled with fury, Tang Jie raised his fist and attempted to punch Su Chengyu.
Su ChengYu grabbed Tang Jie’s punch and with a twist, snap, Tang Jie’s wrist was broken. Tang Jie screamed in agony as Su ChengYu once again slapped him across the face.
"If your father did not teach you manners, I will do it for him!"
Su ChengYu dusted off his hands, took out a handkerchief, and wiped off the blood on the back of his hands. Tang Jie was sent flying again by this slap. He rolled onto the ground and fainted immediately.
For someone like Tang Jie who has no respect for others and thinks much of himself, Su ChengYu had never been polite.
"Really ruthless! This is Master Tang’s son, and he takes such a beating. It’s indeed Su ChengYu!"
"This is going to be interesting, Master Tang is not to be trifled with!"
In the conference room, the manager of the hotel dashed in, flustered.
The Oasis Hotel was the property of the Lin Family. The manager was wanting to stop the fight when he recognized Su Cheng, and lost his nerve. He hurriedly reported the incident.
"Chairman, things are bad, there’s trouble!"
"There’s no need to panic, calm down!" Lin Zhengxun chided.
"Mr... Mr. Su is here!" managed the manager.
"If Mr. Su is here, receive him as a guest. Why are you so flustered?" Lin Zhihua chided, quickly getting up to welcome the guest.
"Mr. Su has beaten Young Master Tang Jie into serious injury..." the manager gasped out once he had regained his breath.
