Chapter 1431: Who is Seeking Death?

Chapter 1431: Chapter 1431: Who is Seeking Death?

Who is seeking their own demise?

The coronation of Irina was inherently the legitimate succession of the Bei Luo Royal Family. Inside the Thousand Tents Great Hall, Windsor’s inspiring words and the ten souls of War Gods submissive at her feet cleared any internal obstacles that should have appeared.

Under Blair’s personal escort, Irina slowly walked up to her throne.

Looking at the chair she had sat in countless times, which now seemed so unfamiliar, Irina took a deep breath and finally sat down.

"Mr. Su, will you personally conduct the coronation ceremony?"

Blair turned his head to look at Su Chengyu who had come to the front of the hall with Irina.

Su Chengyu shook his head and said, "It’s not traditional, and it could lead to criticisms later on. Better if Her Highness does it."

Having Su Chengyu conduct the coronation would naturally benefit him, but it could pose a risk to Irina in the future.

Such self-serving actions were beneath Su Chengyu.

Blair nodded, feeling much reassured, and personally handed the prepared crown to Irina.

"Your Majesty, from today you are truly the ruler of Bei Luo."

Irina did not immediately put on the crown, but instead turned to look at Blair, "Blair, Bei Luo still needs you."

Blair nodded with a smile, softly saying, "Rest assured, Your Majesty, Blair will devote himself fully to assisting you in governing Bei Luo."

With Blair’s words, Irina stood up again and placed the crown, symbolizing honor and status, upon her head.

Su Chengyu knew that from this moment, the royal authority in Bei Luo had completely transitioned.

Su Chengyu glanced at Blair. Although he appeared fine on the surface, the aura within him was very chaotic; clearly, the Nether Clan had launched an attack on him just now.

Although it wasn’t enough to kill him on the spot, the internal injuries were severe. If it couldn’t be thoroughly eradicated soon, his life expectancy likely wouldn’t be much longer.

But a few years... should that be enough?

"Have all the Nether Clan outside been cleared?"

Irina quietly spoke to Blair.

Blair’s gaze shifted within the great hall, and softly said, "General Yevich."

Standing in the front line of the Bei Luo officials, General Yevich immediately stepped forward, saluted Irina first, and then slowly reported the situation outside.

The arrival of the thirteen souls of War Gods had completely turned around the dire situation at the Thousand Tents Palace. The ferociously approaching Nether Clan, faced with the nation’s consuming defensive measures, had no power to resist at all.

Not just ordinary members of the Nether Clan were almost entirely wiped out, but also more than ten from the Hollow Void Level had been slain.

"And the two Patriarchs?"

Irina slowly spoke, causing Su Chengyu to look attentively towards Blair.

This time, Blair didn’t call anyone else’s name and personally said, "The two esteemed Patriarchs are still entangled with the Nether Clan Red-robed High Priest outside the sky. However, regardless of the outcome, it no longer affects the battle situation."

Hearing Blair’s response, Su Chengyu was certain that these two national fathers were the two Land Immortals stationed in the city of Thousand Tents in Bei Luo Empire.

Now, the Nether Clan that has invaded the Thousand Tents Palace has almost all been killed or injured, and the Immortals fighting there cannot change the now stable situation of Bei Luo.

Of course, all this is based on the premise that no one dies; if a Land Immortal really falls in this chaotic battle, it would undoubtedly add insult to injury for the newly stabilized Bei Luo Empire.

Defeat is acceptable, but death is absolutely not.

Any Land Immortal, for a country, is a presence equivalent to a nuclear weapon.

Although Bei Luo is a great nation, even so, the War Emperor is still an extremely precious resource; otherwise, they wouldn’t hold Toreyev so tightly, even if he is unwilling to serve the Royal Family directly, nor let him set foot in Xia Country.

After hearing this, Irina quickly understood and nodded, her gaze sweeping over the ministers she spoke softly.

"Today, the Nether Clan’s sudden attack on my coronation was definitely not coincidental; the ability of the Nether Clan to launch an attack directly from inside the Thousand Tents Palace further proves it was not an accident. It was premeditated—a sign that there are traitors within the high echelons of Bei Luo, even within the Imperial Palace!"

"Your Majesty, the Nether Clan would absolutely not collude with the Human Clan."

"I know."

Irina coldly interrupted the speaker then continued, "But the Bam Alliance would. Those from the Demonic Path, those heretics would!"

Her stern words left the great hall in silence; no one would ask what the Bam Alliance was, as those who could stand in this hall would certainly be no strangers to this organization that exists beneath Bei Luo.

Irina was pleased with the reaction of the crowd and after pondering for a moment, looked towards Su Chengyu.

Realizing Irina’s intention, Su Chengyu nodded, and Irina spoke, "Today, the Thousand Tents Palace was able to weather this crisis, thanks in no small part to Mr. Su from Xia Country. They have been tracing the Bam Alliance’s movements and came here within our Thousand Tents Palace. Xia Country, already our ally, now shares a common enemy with us."

Irina’s words stirred a murmur within the great hall; they more or less understood what Irina intended to say, but couldn’t help feeling somewhat uneasy, whispering quietly amongst themselves.

Seeing this, Su Chengyu stepped forward on his own initiative and bowed to Irina before turning to the Bei Luo ministers.

"I know you have suspicions about me, and even about our Xia Country. But what you cannot deny is that the Nether Clan, now joined with the Demonic Path, is no longer an enemy that Bei Luo alone can withstand."

"How dare you! Her Majesty has just ascended the throne and has regained control over the Holy Artifact of the Thousand Tents Palace, how could the mere Nether Clan be a match for us Bei Luo! Who do you think you are, to speak such nonsense in our Bei Luo!"

The speaker was a Martial God, one of the four who landed in the Thousand Tents Palace with Irina and protected them.

Su Chengyu turned to Irina, who softly said, "This is Troschovsky, the Minister of the Bei Luo Defense Department, and also a student of one of our national fathers."

Hearing this, Su Chengyu suddenly understood why this person dared to step forward; clearly, he was a representative of a Bei Luo national father in the court.

"Mr. Troschovsky, I can understand your confidence in the power of Bei Luo. But, since Bei Luo has sufficient power to oppose the Nether Clan, may I ask Mr. Troschovsky, what led to the chaos in the Thousand Tents Palace? Did Mr. Troschovsky have any forewarning? What measures were taken after receiving this forewarning? If Her Majesty hadn’t lifted the prohibition on the Holy Artifact of the Thousand Tents Palace, how did you plan to quell it?"

Su Chengyu’s series of questions immediately caused Troschovsky’s brows to furrow tightly; he naturally understood that Su Chengyu’s numerous questions meant one thing.

As the Minister of the Bei Luo Defense Department, why did he let the disorder in the Thousand Tents Palace escalate to an almost uncontrollable extent?

He tried to argue, but facing the hard facts, all words seemed meaningless; Troschovsky could only forcefully say,

"In the end, wasn’t it Her Majesty who personally intervened and suppressed the turmoil! The Nether Clan’s futile efforts were merely bringing about their own destruction!"

Listening to this response, Su Chengyu sneered, "Bringing about their own destruction? I think it’s you, Bei Luo, who are bringing about your own destruction!"
