Chapter 109: Chapter 109 I Never Get Jealous _1

Su Chengyu didn’t go home but took Su Xiaoxiao to the Bund district on Binhai Road for a walk. The sea breeze was gentle, the waves lapped up onto the shore, and many people were about, including several young couples.

"Brother, can you hold my hand?" Su Xiaoxiao asked with an expectant look on her face.

Su Chengyu took Su Xiaoxiao’s hand, and a radiant smile of happiness and contentment spread across her face.

"Are your fans all mindless?" he asked.

"Not at all, many of them are adorable," Su Xiaoxiao replied.

"You’re somewhat of a mini celebrity now. You need to wear a mask when you go out. Luckily I was with you today. I dread thinking about what might have occurred otherwise," Su Chengyu commented.

"What celebrity? I rarely encounter fans. Are you jealous?"

Su Xiaoxiao covered her mouth to hide her giggles.

"Jealous of what? I’ve never been jealous!" Su Chengyu retorted with a proud tone.

"Whatever! Keep denying it!" Su Xiaoxiao teased, her heart filled with giddy delight.

After strolling for an hour, they returned home.

The next morning, Su Chengyu visited Xu Lingshan’s house. Xu Lingshan and his wife, Wen Xia, greeted him at the entrance.

Su Chengyu, not wishing to waste time, examined Xu Zichao once the couple stepped aside.

Myasthenia, the disorder Xu Zichao suffered from, mainly resided from damage to the spinal cord. It was severe in his case, hence why so many highly regarded doctors failed to cure it.

However, to Su Chengyu, who possessed the power of Cultivation Magic, it was like child’s play. A cultivator’s Mana is the refined form of nature’s spiritual energy; it simply required healing of the damaged spinal cord with this energy.

Half an hour later, Su Chengyu emerged from the room. The couple quickly approached him, asking, "Mr. Su, how is it?"

"He’s healed. After coming to, he should be able to get out of bed, but as he’s weak, he will need to gradually recuperate to regain normal physical strength," Su Chengyu replied lightly.

Hearing this, the couple heaved a sigh of relief. Moved by their emotions, Wen Xia broke down into tears of joy and they both knelt before Su Chengyu.

"Thank you, Mr. Su. You are our benefactor!"

Huge gratitude washed over them. After visiting countless reputable doctors and finding no cure, they had almost lost hope. Su Chengyu, however, managed to heal Xu Zichao in just half an hour, impressing them immensely and increasing their respect for his skills.

"Please get up. As parents, your concern for your child’s well-being is understandable. I’ll write a prescription for a medicinal tonic which should be taken in six doses, three times daily. This will help him regain his health more rapidly."

Su Chengyu wrote the prescription and handed it over to Xu Lingshan, who, in turn, gave him the ginseng he had prepared.

"Mr. Su, there’s five million in this card. I know it’s just a small sum for you, but it’s my way of expressing my gratitude."

When it came to accepting money, Su Chengyu was not one to refuse - he had many potential future expenses after all.

"Just remember to do good deeds. Those who do evil will inevitably face retribution!" Su Chengyu warned.

"From now on, I, Xu Lingshan, vow never to commit evil deeds," Xu Lingshan swore to the sky.

After healing Xu Zichao, Su Chengyu left. While he was on his way, Cheng Xiaoyun sent him a message on WeChat, inviting him for lunch because she had the day off.

Su Chengyu declined at first, but when Cheng Xiaoyun insisted to show her gratitude, he agreed to join her.

Su Chengyu first went home. He had managed to gather most of the ingredients needed to concoct the Heavenly Pill, including century-old Lingzhi and ginseng. The remaining ingredients were not as precious, and he could start formulating the pill once he collected them.

Su Chengyu was under immense pressure. Mr. Hua’s disciples could soon come to seek their revenge. He could barely handle ninth-grade masters, let alone grandmasters. Therefore, he had to raise his mana level urgently.

With spare time on his hands, Su Chengyu painted some talismans at home. Although they weren’t particularly potent, these talismans could provide support in combat and increase his chances of victory.

The truly high-tier talismans were powerful. A simple talisman like the Infernal Blaze Talisman or the Thunder Seal Talisman had the power to annihilate whatever was in its path.

Su Chengyu spent a good deal of effort making over ten different potential talismans to carry around for emergencies.

Cheng Xiaoyun sent Su Chengyu her location. Seeing as the timing was good, Su Chengyu left by car to honor their meeting.

Upon arriving, he saw Cheng Xiaoyun waiting for him by the entrance.

She wore a dress with high heels. It was clear she had put effort into looking nice, adding to her charm.

"Su Chengyu, over here!"

On seeing Su Chengyu, Cheng Xiaoyun waved and greeted him with a smile.

"You look beautiful today," Su Chengyu complimented her politely.

"Thank you for the compliment."

With a shy smile, Cheng Xiaoyun walked with Su Chengyu into the building, took the elevator to the top floor, and went to the rooftop restaurant.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated. A pianist was playing at the grand piano in the hall, creating a romantic mood. Impressed by the location Cheng Xiaoyun had picked, Su Chengyu thought of bringing Aunt Xu here next time.

He hadn’t seen Aunt Xu in so long and was already missing her!

Once he took his seat, Su Chengyu saw the familiar building of the First Sight Bar, near where the restaurant was located. Memories of Aunt Xu filled his mind.

Indeed, a day without Aunt Xu felt long, as he couldn’t help but miss her constantly.
