Super Invincible Immortal Doctor -
Chapter 107: Confused Fang Qing_1
Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Confused Fang Qing_1
Actually, Su Chengyu didn’t want to get involved in this mess. If the man were simply Xu Lingshan’s enemy seeking revenge, Su Chengyu would definitely not intervene.
But as soon as he arrived, he found four dead bodies on the ground, one of which was a waiter in the restaurant. Su Chengyu couldn’t ignore such indiscriminate killing of innocents once he had witnessed it.
"Mr. Su, don’t interfere, he’s my enemy, very formidable, you’re no match for him!"
Xu Lingshan was scared that Su Chengyu would also be killed by Yan Tong. He knew that Su Chengyu was a miraculous doctor, but he had no idea that Su Chengyu was far beyond just medical skills.
"Whether I’m a match for him or not, we won’t know until we fight."
Su Chengyu strode forward. Yan Tong sneered, "Kid, since you’re courting death, I’ll grant your wish. Remember my name is Yan Tong. When you get to Yama, remember to mention me!"
Yan Tong wasn’t in a hurry to kill Xu Lingshan straight away; he walked toward Su Chengyu, knife in hand.
Su Chengyu could feel the murderous aura radiating from Yan Tong. Such aura could only come from a man who had been through countless battles and was stained with blood.
These people, who have fought their way out of life-and-death situations, are often more formidable than those of the same level.
However, no matter how formidable a Seventh-Rank was, Su Chengyu didn’t need to view him as a threat.
"Mr. Su, please retreat. Don’t throw your life away for my sake," pleaded Xu Lingshan.
Wielding an extremely swift dagger, it was evident that Yan Tong was an expert at using it. The blade twirled, shimmering coldly, it was obviously honed to perfection.
Su Chengyu was unarmed and found it slightly hard to parry. He relied on his agility to evade Yan Tong’s attacks.
The two sparred briefly. When their fists met, Yan Tong was no match for Su Chengyu’s strength and was pushed back by a blow, the powerful force numbing his arm.
Yan Tong shook off his numbness, "You are a master indeed!"
Yan Tong charged once more but Su Chengyu had gradually figured out his attacking strategy. As the blade approached, Su Chengyu reached out, his hand sliding past Yan Tong’s wrist.
Yan Tong’s dagger brushed past Su Chengyu’s throat, missing it, but Su Chengyu’s fingers jabbed into Yan Tong’s other eye, blinding him at once.
Already blind in one eye, Yan Tong was now completely helpless. With a scream, he clutched his bleeding eye; blood streamed through his fingers.
"I’ll kill you!"
Yan Tong thrashed about wildly with his dagger, his mind a complete mess. Su Chengyu made his move again, seizing Yan Tong’s right hand, and slashed, shattering Yan Tong’s arm. He then dealt another blow, breaking off both his legs, and twisted his right hand backward, snapping it.
Su Chengyu didn’t attempt to kill him, merely breaking all four of Yan Tong’s limbs.
Yan Tong’s screams were so piercing that Xu Lingshan had to cover his ears. At the same time, he was incredulous; it was beyond his imagination that Su Chengyu could be so formidable.
Unable to move any limbs, Yan Tong lay on the ground, useless as a rag. He had completely lost the ability to fight and was not a threat anymore.
Su Chengyu picked up Yan Tong’s dagger and felt its weight in his hand. The dagger was well-made, very sharp, and easy to carry, so Su Chengyu decided to keep it.
Fighting with others who had weapons while he was empty-handed could put him at a disadvantage. This dagger would be somewhat useful to him.
"Thank you, Mr. Su, for saving my life. I, Xu Lingshan, am eternally grateful. From now on, I owe my life to you, Mr. Su, to order me as you see fit," Xu Lingshan said gratefully.
Su Chengyu waved his hand slightly, "I have no use for your life, I only care about my ginseng. As for this guy, dispose of him however you want. Do you want to finish him off now?"
Su Chengyu opened his palm, offering Xu Lingshan the dagger to kill Yan Tong.
But Xu Lingshan shook his head, "I have no right to take his life. When he murdered my woman, I chased him down and blinded one of his eyes. Now, he’s seeking revenge against me. This is karma. He’s now crippled anyway, why should I kill him completely. Better to hand him over to the police!"
"As you wish."
Su Chengyu was only testing Xu Lingshan anyway. If Xu Lingshan was really going to kill Yan Tong, perhaps Su Chengyu would’ve refrained from saving his son.
"Xu Lingshan, stop pretending, just kill me... Hurry up and kill me!" Yan Tong, still sprawled on the ground, roared furiously.
At that moment, the sound of police sirens was heard from outside. The restaurant’s waitstaff had reported the incident.
Fang Qing, dressed in uniform, rushed into the restaurant, gun in hand, looking valiant.
"Freeze! Hands up!"
Fang Qing walked in and was surprised to see Su Chengyu. She gestured towards her colleagues, signaling them not to be nervous.
"Su Chengyu, what are you doing here? Weren’t you arrested by Dragon Soul?" Fang Qing asked incredulously.
Xu Lingshan was also puzzled. Su Chengyu was clearly taken in by Dragon Soul, how was it possible for him to be released in only two or three hours?
Once you were taken into Dragon Soul, it wasn’t that easy to be released.
"None of your business."
Su Chengyu had no patience for Fang Qing at this point and replied coldly.
"You... Then... What happened here?" Fang Qing asked.
"You have no authority to interrogate me. I’m not your suspect."
Having said this, Su Chengyu turned to Xu Lingshan, "Call me after you’ve taken care of things."
"Alright, Mr. Su, take care," Xu Lingshan obediently responded.
"Stop! There’s been a murder here, and you are not leaving!" Fang Qing’s colleague pointed a gun at Su Chengyu.
"Let him go! He’s not our jurisdiction, if there’s anyone who could deal with him, it’s Dragon Soul."
Despite her annoyance with Su Chengyu, Fang Qing couldn’t actually do anything about him and let him leave.
After Su Chengyu left, Fang Qing inspected the scene, took Xu Lingshan and Yan Tong back to the station, and sapiently confiscated the restaurant’s surveillance records.
Back at the station, Fang Qing was astonished to find out that Yan Tong was a wanted man on the Red Notice. Catching him here could amount to a major merit, putting her at an advantage in the Dragon Soul assessment plus her teacher’s connections and her family’s influence guaranteeing her a spot in Dragon Soul.
Fang Qing was overjoyed, but it quickly turned to mixed feelings as she realized that this unforeseen reward came as a result of Su Chengyu’s actions.
Fang Qing handed over the case to her colleagues and hurriedly called Hua Zhantang. His previous phone call implied Su Chengyu had been arrested by Dragon Soul - why was he free now?
This was definitely not Hua Zhantang’s style. Deep down, Fang Qing disapproved of Hua Zhantang using Dragon Soul to arrest Su Chengyu - wasn’t this just personal revenge?
However, the entire incident had started because of her. If she hadn’t harbored resentment and jealousy toward Su Chengyu, Hua Zhantang wouldn’t have gone after him, preventing the following events from occurring.
Fang Qing felt confused and helpless about this whole incident!
