Chapter 676: Chapter 293: Surfacing from the Sea_3 Chapter 676: Chapter 293: Surfacing from the Sea_3 Yamazaki was not the only one who had noticed something amiss with the submarine fleet; both Ghana and Australia had detected through satellite video that the submarine fleet might be facing grave danger. Particularly for the Ghanaian commander, who had witnessed the destruction of his nation's submarine firsthand, the reality was too much to bear, and for quite some time, they were unable to issue any effective commands.

But Yamazaki was different. Upon realizing that the submarine fleet might be in peril, his initially fervent heart quickly cooled. Although he did not know what had precisely happened, it was clear that the lurking submarines of the United Fleet ahead were likely in dire straits. The tactical proficiency he had honed over years of training swiftly returned to his mind. He immediately issued orders for the Japanese Fleet to halt their advance and to converge on one another, creating an anti-submarine and air defense formation to engage in combined anti-submarine and air defense operations.

At this point, ensuring the safety of Japan's two “Ten-Ten Fleets” had become Yamazaki's sole objective, eclipsing the priority of landing on Dream Island. While the island could be invaded at a later time, a single oversight leading to the annihilation of the Maritime Self-Defense Force's elite would mean the end of Japan.

After the first squadron of twelve F-15 Fighters took off, the second squadron of twelve F-15 Fighters was also en route to Dream Island. Their flight path coincided exactly with the location of the submarine incident. So, upon learning the position of the second F-15 Fighter Squadron, Yamazaki immediately commanded them to accelerate towards the area of the incident to check on the submarine fleet's safety.

Consequently, the second F-15 Fighter Squadron picked up speed towards the location of the mishap. Upon arrival, they spotted a gigantic whale surfacing. These F-15 pilots were on a reconnaissance mission, and they were very vigilant. They were taken aback by the sheer size of the whale. However, because the Artificial Whale had chosen to launch its initial attack from behind the clouds, obscuring its actions, no one noticed the attack, and thus no one perceived the Artificial Whale as a threat. They simply marveled at the incredible size of the whale without any further suspicion.

Yan Fei had detected that two F-15 Fighter Squadrons were heading toward Dream Island. Although he had installed two Electromagnetic cannons on the island for air defense purposes, accidents could still happen. Should any problem arise during defense, allowing the F-15 Fighter Squadrons to breach and attack Dream Island, the loss would be tremendous–possibly undoing over a year's worth of construction overnight.

Thus, at this juncture, Yan Fei decided not to conceal his actions any longer. He directly controlled the Artificial Whale to surface, preparing to launch its extraordinary combat power and shoot down all F-15 Fighters from both squadrons.

No sooner had the Artificial Whale emerged than it spotted the approaching F-15 Fighter Squadron. The Anti-aircraft Missile launchers on the whale's back opened once again, unleashing four waves of missiles continuously. Over a hundred Anti-aircraft Missiles soared into the sky, chasing after the F-15s with a relentless pursuit.
