Chapter 1589: Chapter 617: Capture Over Thousands of Miles_2

As the words left his mouth, Destiny reached out with his gloved hand into the void, and suddenly a man appeared in his grasp. The man was an elderly African, held tightly by the neck and struggling desperately.

Everyone was utterly shocked, for there had clearly been nothing there moments ago, yet now a man had appeared. How did Destiny do it? Among them, only Yan Fei understood; Destiny must have used the Power of Space to pull the man across a great distance.

However, nobody knew who this African man was or why Destiny had singled him out like this. Tripiṭaka studied the worn figure carefully and suddenly spoke: "It’s Mr. Gary Zach! How are you here?"

Destiny released his grip, and Gary Zach fell down from the High Platform onto the ground below. Once free, he immediately began coughing loudly, greedily inhaling the oxygen in the air. Still, he looked around at his surroundings in terror—an environment eerily resembling Hell—and shouted, "My God! Where am I? Why am I here?"

Tripiṭaka stepped forward, helped Gary Zach up from the ground, and asked, "Mr. Zach, why are you here?"

Gary Zach looked at Tripiṭaka in confusion and said, "I don’t know... I was having a meal, then everything around me suddenly changed, and I ended up here."

As the head of the U.S. "X Plan," Tripiṭaka was naturally very familiar with Gary Zach. Upon seeing him, Zach immediately moved to stay close to Tripiṭaka, seeking his protection.

Tripiṭaka asked, "Where were you having your meal?"

Gary Zach replied, "In the cafeteria at that Secret Military Base where the X Plan is executed. It’s in the remote desert within the U.S., the same base you’ve visited before."

Everyone was stunned by the shocking piece of intelligence revealed in Zach’s words, but none more than Yan Fei, who was utterly shaken to his core. While Yan Fei already knew Destiny could manipulate Space, he had never fathomed that the scope of this ability could be so immense—able to capture someone from the North American continent and transport them instantly to the African continent. The spatial distance between the two was over ten thousand kilometers, yet Destiny’s mastery over Space Ability was seemingly boundless, rivaling Yan Fei’s own god-like powers within Dreamland Cave World.

Destiny stated, "This man is called one of the Four Major Famous Detectives outside, with a 100% case-solving rate, but in truth, he’s just a worthless fool with no abilities at all. His so-called miraculous detective work is all because of me—I gave him those capabilities."

Tripiṭaka objected, "That’s impossible. Mr. Zach possesses Supernatural Ability, an Innate Ability with which he was born. No one can control that."

Destiny’s glowing, blood-red eyes fixed on Gary Zach, who immediately shrank in fear, retreating fully behind Tripiṭaka for protection.

Destiny explained, "This worthless man’s so-called Supernatural Ability is merely the result of me sending the necessary clues directly into his mind. To reduce resistance to these inputs, I made him drink alcohol excessively. Once his mind was numbed by the effects of alcohol, I could implant the data more easily. Everything he sees is only what I allow him to see. He is not a genius in solving crimes; he’s merely a tool I’ve used."

Tripiṭaka’s complexion changed, and he asked, "Could it be you’ve known about our X Plan since the very beginning?"

Destiny confirmed, "Indeed. As I’ve always said, this world holds no secrets for me; nothing can escape my perception. Had I not intentionally fed him intelligence about the Underworld’s Dark Web Server, do you think you would’ve ever found this place?"

Hearing Destiny’s explanation, his presence seemed to loom even larger in their eyes, casting a towering shadow over them all. A profound sense of helplessness swept over them. Their supposed surprise attack plan had been orchestrated by Destiny himself, with the sole intention of luring them here to obliterate them in one move. A chilling realization of danger filled their hearts immediately.

Tripiṭaka said, "But we honestly detected electronic signals sent out from the Dark Web Server, which led us to believe your Lair was indeed located here. If there is no server here at all, then is the signal something you fabricated? Or maybe the Dark Web has nothing to do with you, and you only leveraged their server’s setup?"

Destiny replied, "No, I created the Dark Web myself. However, its creation carries no real significance. It was merely something I conjured up out of boredom, much like you humans watch television or surf the Internet when idling. But now the Dark Web no longer amuses me; hence, I deliberately revealed it to lure you in. From this moment onward, the Dark Web will vanish from this world forever—it will never exist again."

The Underworld’s Dark Web had always been considered extraordinary, and countless efforts had been made to uncover its secrets. Yet, after all these years, not a single worthwhile piece of intelligence had been obtained. Who could have imagined that this enigmatic site was created by Destiny himself? And his reason for creating it—a simple expression of boredom—was beyond comprehension...
