Chapter 1124
Chapter 1124: Chapter 447 Soul Possession Chapter 1124: Chapter 447 Soul Possession Captain China watched the black stone tablet inside the transparent light shield gradually turn white, an anxious expression appearing on his face. Then he saw Yan Fei appear in the square and was overjoyed, waving his hand and saying, “Yan Fei, you've come just in time. Lend me a hand quickly, help me break this transparent light shield. We must not let Tripitaka assimilate this Control Boundary Stele.”
Yan Fei quickly approached the transparent light shield, curiously touched it, and found that the light shield was extremely tough, completely untearable. He then punched it hard, only to discover the shield rebounded all the force of his punch back at him.
Yan Fei asked, “Captain, what is this light shield made of? How did Tripitaka get inside? What is that black stone tablet? What is Tripitaka doing right now?”
As Captain China was calling over Yan Fei, he was also rapidly recovering his strength; clearly, his previous attack had put a huge strain on his body. After catching his breath, he explained, “It's a long story. As soon as we entered this space, I felt something was odd. Then I remembered the ancient texts of our family and, after careful comparison, I realized this space closely resembles the one described in my family's ancient records. It should be a small space left from ancient times.”
Yan Fei, puzzled, asked, “A small space? What is that?”
Captain China replied, “If you understand it in terms of China's ancient legends, you can imagine a small space as a Cave Heaven Paradise from mythology. If you look at it from a scientific perspective, a small space is a special area created using spatial technology. It has physical laws similar to the outside world, but it cannot exist independently, it can only exist attached to our world.”
Yan Fei was somewhat surprised and said, “The Heavenly and Earthly Spiritual Qi here is much more concentrated than in the outside world, which does resemble the mythical Cave Heaven Paradises. But if this really is a Cave Heaven Paradise from legends, does that mean the mythical stories in our history might be true? Or does it mean that there once was a highly advanced High-Tech Civilization on Earth, capable of using spatial technology to create small spaces?”
Captain China replied, “That's possible, otherwise my family wouldn't have left such records. However, according to the legends of China, the area of a Cave Heaven Paradise is usually not very large, but this small space is too vast, comparable to a medium-sized country, with peaks even more than twice the height of Mount Everest. However, there is only one passage between this small space and the outside world, and that is the mysterious Light Portal we passed through when we came in.”
Having recovered, Captain China delivered a fierce punch to the transparent light shield, making it flicker but not break. However, the light shield seemed intimately connected to Tripitaka's physical body. Captain China's punch affected Tripitaka as well, causing his face to pale.
Continuing to catch his breath, Captain China said, “Yan Fei, when I have time, I'll send you some fragmentary data I've collected for you to study the ancient legends of China. They might not be entirely true, but they aren't completely false either.”
Yan Fei felt that his trip to the Underwater Plaza had broadened his horizons, unveiling a world of marvels before his eyes. He asked, “Who created this small space? Why does it exist here? What is its purpose?”
Captain China answered, “This is the first time I've encountered such a small space, but upon entering, I found a Stone Stele covered in writing, which I happened to recognize. The text on the Stone Stele was a brief introduction to this space. Due to the wear of time, however, parts of the Stone Stele were incomplete and the content not very coherent, leaving only some fragmented information.”
Driven by curiosity, Yan Fei inquired, “What did the Stone Stele say?”
Captain China said, “The Stone Stele indicated that this was a small space captured and claimed by them, and inside, they discovered many large and fierce beasts. So, they transformed this space into a huge trial space, using the gigantic beasts to train their super soldiers.”
Yan Fei remarked, “Such Forces could capture a small space, which means they must have mastered spatial technology. I've seen the skeletons of those beasts here; their super soldiers being able to contend with these giant beasts shows that their Strength was extremely powerful, at the very least at the Level of God-Level Experts.”
Captain China lamented, “Unfortunately, the Stone Stele was incomplete, with too much missing information. I haven't discovered who exactly captured this small space. However, it was noted on the Stone Stele that their super soldiers only gained formidable Combat Power when driving High-tech Armor, suggesting their innate Strength was not strong and they mainly relied on High-tech Technology. On my way here, I found some wreckage of High-tech Armor and picked up some…”
Only then did Yan Fei realize to whom the giant creatures and the High-tech Armor he had previously encountered belonged, as he noticed that Captain China was also carrying a bulging backpack–obviously, it was filled with the pieces of High-tech Armor that Captain China had taken a fancy to. Then, an even bigger question arose in Yan Fei's mind. If such Forces could capture a small space and produce High-tech Armor, it indicated their level of technological development was highly advanced–so where did they go afterward? Could they be one of the lost Civilizations mentioned in human history?
