The thought of her beloved sisters falling into the beast’s clutches and facing a bleak future was devastating to Xuan Si. She was on the verge of breaking into tears.

Ye Chen chuckled and replied, “We barely escaped death just now. The New City Sect was ambushed in the woods. We got scattered and I have no idea where the others are. I can’t take care of them right now. I can only go forward.”

Xuan Si was at a loss for words.

“It was sheer luck that I could save you earlier. Honestly, I was lucky. I’m left with only a small group of people. Even if I did know where they are, my people wouldn’t be a match for theirs. Xuan Lin noticed this too and muttered, “Xuan Si and Xuan Hong must have been rescued by someone.”

Xuan Wen looked at him and nodded, he was of the same opinion.

“There are over twenty corpses of the Demon God’s disciples. Both Xuan Hong and Xuan Si lack the capabilities for such a task and these people are obviously killed by extremely powerful martial arts.” He emphasized, spotting the bodies of his disciples among them, confirming that these were indeed the ones after Xuan Si and Xuan Hong.

Xuan Lin touched the corpses again and said, “They are not completely cold yet, they must have died not long ago, about two hours at most.”
