Chapter 741 - 741 727 Bad Luck for Two Lifetimes

Chapter 741: Chapter 727: Bad Luck for Two Lifetimes Chapter 741: Chapter 727: Bad Luck for Two Lifetimes Longhun had placed his men on both sides, focused on the front, contemplating on how to escape. However, at this moment, Xuan Wu from behind already led his men quickly to attack. Xuan Wu wouldn’t be vague with them.

They had already fought before, with deep hatred. How could they miss such a good opportunity?

Some Winged Dragons unleashed fireballs, wishing they could burn them completely, preferably grilled them into fishes immediately.

Longhun’s attention got disrupted, someone from behind came to report, saying: “It’s that group of people from the Xuan Clan.”

Upon hearing this, Jing Po sneered coldly, saying: “This bunch of guys is almost extinct, not afraid we won’t even spare their species!” Rage rose in a blink of an eye, he then clamoured: “I will deal with this bunch of guys, I am enough to handle them. Young Master, just wait.”

Longhun feared this could be a major trap. If the people of the Xuan Clan came, would Guo Mingyu’s men come later? He really didn’t know. The person he sent to explore hadn’t returned yet.

Longhun stopped him, fearing that Jing Po would spoil the big plan. At this moment, Jing Po was about to freak out. He didn’t want to be stuck here, yelling: “You come back to me, do you know why I came to Kunlun Mountain?”

A bit agitated, Jing Po replied, “Of course it is to find the Wolf King’s Ring.”

“So you understand, right? Then you should know, I don’t want to go into a great battle with them. Don’t lead them out.” Longhun was worried that this was a trap. Jing Po was an impulsive person. He didn’t want to ruin the big plan. They would be doomed if they were attacked from both sides.

Jing Po hastily said, “I understand.”

“Just driving them away is enough. This is the first ring. Monsters are everywhere. I don’t want to stay here and keep playing with these giant grasshoppers.” Longhun knew that the most appropriate action should be to find a way to escape from here.

Someone else came from behind, pleading for Longhun’s help. Jing Po kicked him away, shouting: “All wimps! Just a few lingering soldiers frightened you guys like this, do you even have a little courage left?”

The one who was scolded didn’t dare to speak anymore.

Jing Po called out: “Young Master, I understand it all. After repelling them, I will come back.”

Only then did Longhun let him go.

Xuan Wu wouldn’t be polite, yelling: “The fireballs you guys prepared last night, are you saving them to take back as a meal!? Hurry up and throw them out, let them taste the flavor of fireballs.”

He wished he could throw all that were prepared, those fresh ones, into the Dragon Slaying Clan. He couldn’t wait to pick up every piece from the ground and throw them in.

Jing Po flew over, looking at those guys who had been bombed into pieces. Some were still crying out. He yelled, “Damn it, whoever isn’t dead yet, get up! If you don’t get up, I’ll throw you to the monsters!”

These guys were crying like little women, which severely impacted their morale. It was simply creating panic, how could he stand this group of guys?

“Get up or I’ll stab you to death, believe it or not.” Jing Po was getting fierce.

However, his few words actually worked.

Those guys shut up accordingly.

“These wimps, really shaming our Army of Death.” Jing Po looked down upon them.

There were disciples running over to report the situation from the back: how many people they had, how they attacked, what kind of monsters they released, what kind of weapons they had, who took the lead, and so on.

A huge stone flew over, Jing Po dodged promptly. If he didn’t dodge, the stone would surely hit his head.

Jing Po still got a scare, “These bastards, they really want to take revenge, even throwing stones. Damn Xuan Wu, I didn’t kill him last time, he still dares to come, looks like he wants to die.”

Jing Po was keeping a close eye on Xuan Wu, who was hovering around like a monkey, yelling, “Anyone who can fight and doesn’t want to die, hurry up and join me. We’ll charge and crush them first, today I will erase the Xuan Clan from the Demon Domain.”

He was certainly trying to boost morale for the frightened women-like soldiers behind him. If he didn’t lead to kill them, these terrified women-like guys might really be too scared to move.

Stones and wooden sticks were flying over again, wishing to smash them to death. In a steady stream, Xuan Wu had pushed dozens of fireballs they prepared last night into the battlefield. Now he asked everyone to find a way to throw in whatever they could find, so that they could all have a taste.

“Are they still fighting a war? These guys, why are they acting like children?” Jing Po charged towards Xuan Wu.

Xuan Wu was still encouraging his disciples to find stones, release darts, control Winged Dragons and mutant beasts, while Jing Po was charging towards him.

“You little bastard, didn’t cherish the few days of life left, want to die, don’t you?”

Xuan Wu saw Jing Po, immediately got angry, shouting: “You demons, I’ll kill all of you sooner or later.”

“Such arrogance, claiming to kill us all, you don’t have the ability.” Jing Po leapt forward, his blade swinging downwards only to be parried by Xuan Wu’s sword.

Xuan Wu might not be a match for Longhun, but dealing with Jing Po was more than manageable. He looked at Jing Po scornfully, “You’re nothing more than a bluffer puffing up. Dare to play the boss in front of me; your downfall will come today.”

The sword in his hand had already flown out, and it was his best move—the Xuan Sword Technique.

The surge of sword’s energy stirred up a whirlwind, akin to a Giant Beast lunging towards the opponent.

Jing Po clutched his great sword tightly; it was as if he had rockets on his back, propelling him a dozen or so feet off the ground. His sword radiated energy, materialising an even larger blade, swinging down 180 degrees and hitting the surging sword energy wave.

The two forces of energy clashed with each other much like asteroids, creating a shockwave that forced Jing Po back to the ground and sent Xuan Wu’s sword flying. Xuan Wu quickly moved to summon his lost control sword back.

Longhun was waiting; he had to confirm Guo Mingyu’s positioning and determine whether he would engage in the fight. Only then could Longhun decide on an escape plan. If the others decided to join in too, things could take a dangerous turn.

Soon, the scout he had sent to gather information returned, reporting no sight of Guo Mingyu’s troupe approaching.

Once he had confirmation, Slaughter Saint voiced out: “Looks like all this is the work of the Xuan Clan; Guo Mingyu and his team were kept in the dark about this matter.”

Shi Xueqin commented: “They’re definitely seeking revenge.”

Upon learning that Guo Mingyu and his team would not be coming, Longhun had a plan in mind to break free from their entrapment. At this point, he had lost some men, but he was indifferent to that. The only thing that mattered to him was the Wolf King’s Ring.

Slaughter Saint suggested: “We can attempt to break through from the front.”

The Mutant Winged Dragons and other mutant beasts on both sides were becoming increasingly fierce. Dozens had already been injured, if they did not break free soon, they would be completely entangled in the battlefield.

Longhun did not have time to indulge in this madness; he called out: “Slaughter Saint, cover our retreat, break free from these annoying Grasshoppers as soon as possible.”

Fortunately, they had been prepared and brought in many Winged Dragons and mutant beasts.

Longhun found the situation somewhat amusing; they’ve been outwitted by the Xuan Clan, a group known for their cowardice. It was unexpected. Back at the Demon Valley with so many people and such good opportunity, they remained hidden; but today they’ve mustered courage, and even beat him to the punch utilising a strategy he intended to use against Guo Mingyu and his team.

Despite Xuan Wu’s ruthless killing, it was their men who held the numerical advantage. They gradually stabilised their defenses, and Xuan Wu had time to use everything at his disposal, killing at least thirty of their men, and began to push back the mutant beasts and Winged Dragons on both sides.

A flute playing suddenly resounded, signalling the withdrawal of Xuan Clan’s forces.

Upon hearing the flute, Xuan Wu was pulled back from his frenzy. Looking around, seeing his strategy had played out as expected, he immediately changed his orders: “Xuan Lin, we retreat.”

“Trying to run, you wretched fish.” It appeared that Jing Po wasn’t willing to let them go.

Several Fireballs engulfed the area around Jing Po, pushing him back and providing cover for the escape. By the time the smoke cleared, the Xuan Clan had already evacuated the valley.

Suddenly, a fight broke out behind them, surprising Guo Mingyu. He immediately wondered if the people from the Dragon Slaying Clan and Xuan Clan had clashed.

Song Zheng’an puzzled, “Could it be that the Xuan Clan and Dragon Slaying Clan have collided? The Xuan Clan is no match for the Dragon Slaying Clan.”

However, Guan Yi knew that the Xuan Clan weren’t the Dragon Slaying Clan’s match. They weren’t even able to take on the Clan Chief of the Dragon Slaying Clan in the past, and now it is even less likely. Worried for the Xuan Clan’s safety, Guan Yi added, “Perhaps they have been ambushed.”

Upon hearing this, Song Zheng’an quickly urged, “Then we should hurry and go back to help them.”

With nothing confirmed at present, Guo Mingyu thought for a moment, and then instructed his disciple Ling Jian, “Ling Jian, take a few men and go back quickly. Check out the situation and come back to inform me as soon as possible.”

They had to figure out what exactly had happened; he couldn’t venture into action hastily.

Before long, Ling Jian returned with a few men. He reported, “People from the Dragon Slaying Clan have encountered two large beast swarms and got caught in-between. There are also people from the Xuan Clan possibly uniting with the beasts. The Xuan Clan’s people fought for a while and then left.”

“Impossible, are you saying that the beast swarms were released by the Xuan Clan?” Song Zheng’an asked.

“No, the beasts don’t belong to them. They should be from around here. It seems that the people of Dragon Slaying Clan have been ambushed, probably by the Xuan Clan.”

Guo Mingyu found it hard to believe. He knew how formidable Longhun was. Would he have been outwitted by the Xuan Clan? He asked, “Are you sure that the ones who fell into the trap were from the Dragon Slaying Clan, not the Xuan Clan?”

“Rest assured, I saw it clearly. The Xuan Clan has retreated. The only ones left are the Dragon Slaying Clan battling with the horde of Winged Dragon mutant beasts. It’s estimated that it would take at least six more hours for them to break free from this situation.”
