Chapter 729: Chapter 715: News Enters the Wilderness Chapter 729: Chapter 715: News Enters the Wilderness After listening to the Mitra Monk’s promise.

Jing Po retorted: “You still have the decency to sneak people out! I’m guessing everyone from the realm of immortals and demons has probably headed to Immortal City by now. Guo Mingyu might personally lead an expedition to Kunlun Mountain, and basically no one would bother with you. What more do you want?”

The Mitra Monk merely smiled at this.

Longhun said, “Take them directly to the Immortal City. Don’t go up the mountain. Wait near the Immortal City, and don’t provoke the Raging Wolves.”

The Mitra Monk nodded slightly in agreement.

“It’s getting late, you should rest now.” Brother Longhun rose from his seat.

Shi Xueqin also followed him.

“Why are you following me, girl?” asked Longhun, puzzled.

“I want to chat with you.” Shi Xueqin said.

“What’s there to chat about? Let’s consummate the marriage then.”

“Then Sister Meng Xiuluo would probably behead me.”

“She can’t interfere with my business,” Longhun declared.

“Oh, Brother Longhun, tell me about your childhood.”

“My childhood! That dirty past is all but a shadow now. All I knew was that whenever others were happy, they would slap me. What’s there to chat about?” Brother Longhun was very reluctant to talk about his past.

“Then talk about how you met Sister Meng Xiuluo.”

“I don’t remember!”

“How can that be? Sister Meng Xiuluo is devoted to you. There must be some story behind it.”

“Well, you’re also quite smitten with me.” Longhun continued walking into the forest.

Shi Xueqin said, “I’m not like her. I find Brother Longhun remarkable and clever, that’s why I feel this way.”

“I need to take a leak. Are you still going to follow me? It’s going to stink.”

“Eh, why are you talking so coarse?”

“Everyone only thinks about the pleasant aspects of life. They only think about eating, never about excreting. Only the beautiful, never the dirty. Only the noble, never the despicable. They deny any disharmony, deceiving themselves. Who doesn’t need to take a leak? They think that by not mentioning it, they are not associated with it.”

Shi Xueqin pursed her lips, and said: “Be careful not to get bitten by snakes in that dark place.”

Longhun laughed amusedly and muttered: “Still worried about that.”

In Sky Domain City, after sunset…

The darkness of the night slowly descended.

By now, Ye Chen did not need to personally deal with most matters. With the help of people like Jiang Zhuge, Shi Mu, Can Mo, and Ling Bo, everything was basically manageable. Like a young master, he lived in a large courtyard, with people serving meals and keeping watch. He could even take baths every day, which took some getting used to.

The voice of Red Demonic Spirit finally began to gradually recover. Otherwise, he would’ve killed himself. He didn’t want people to think he was effeminate, as he was more partial towards women.

Rong’er and He Xibai had gone off somewhere to squander silver.

Yun’er did not go out. After a few days, she was no longer interested in the Sky Domain City.

With the recovery of his voice, Red Demonic Spirit’s dignity gradually returned, making him very happy. He was once again swinging back and forth under a tree like a ghost, singing songs from a thousand years ago, practicing his singing, seemingly eager to demonstrate how melodious his voice was.

“Hey, can you stop singing? It makes me feel like vomiting,” complained Yun’er, unable to stand it.

“Are you pregnant?” the Red Demonic Spirit inquired.

“YOU’RE the one who’s pregnant.”

“I’m not pregnant.”

Ye Chen, who found this exchange boring, suddenly said: “Let’s consummate our marriage!”

This sudden statement gave Yun’er quite a scare. She had no idea what he was up to.

“You said you want to be with me, consummating our marriage is the fastest way! Everything will be settled quickly, and we won’t need to waste our silver. Isn’t that great?” said Ye Chen, seemingly haunted by the idea of marriage since he always recalled Ling’er whenever marriage was mentioned.

“What are you thinking about? Do you think I’ll oblige you just because you say so?”

“You, trailing behind me like glue, are you afraid that I’d seek outside pleasures? You want to be with me!”

“Who’s trailing behind you?”

“Look, Rong’er and the others have gone out to have fun. Why didn’t you go out? Aren’t you staying here because you don’t want me to go out alone! I know I have a high reputation in Sky Domain City, and many girls want to bear my children. So, you’re getting a good deal.”

Yun’er glared at him, protesting: “Who wants to have your baby?”

Red Demonic Spirit smirked and said: “Little girl, you better be careful. This fellow has a plan.”

Yun’er turned to him, asking: “What plan?”

Red Demonic Spirit explained: “Once you get pregnant and start showing, will you be able to keep following him wherever he goes? He would have a long period of freedom during your pregnancy. You’d be too busy caring for the baby in your belly. He could then fool around with whomever he wants. You’ll be left at home rearing his children.”

Yun’er looked at Ye Chen skeptically.

Ye Chen laughed and said: “We truly are master and disciple. Or else, how could you know so well what I’m thinking?”

Yun’er murmured: “Indeed, you two are two of a kind. Rest assured, if he dares, I’ll castrate him.”

“Oh, my goodness, aren’t you too cruel? I’m your future husband.”

“Even if it’s my father, I’d still castrate him.”

“Wow, you’re terrifying! Even considering castrating your own father. I’m glad I haven’t married you yet. I need to think this through carefully. One misstep can lead to lifelong regret!”

Yun’er let out a cold laugh.

“When the time comes, you’ll really be left as a grieving widow, which won’t be pleasant.” Ye Chen joked.

Yun’er was peeling a pear.

“I recall a story about a farmer who planted a pear tree near his house. The tree finally bore fruit, and the first year brought a bountiful harvest. But since the tree was near the house where everyone could see it, the village children kept sneaking in to steal the pears. Out of frustration, he chopped down the tree. Granted, he managed to prevent the children from stealing any more pears, but then he lost out on the fruit as well. Do you understand the message in this story?” she related.

The Red Demonic Spirit laughed after hearing the story.

Yun’er wasn’t foolish, she stared at him and said, “You are that pear tree, aren’t you!”

“Exactly, there’s no need for such extreme measures. It feels good when everyone’s happy, right?”

“And you are just enjoying everyone’s misery, aren’t you?”

“And I am happy too, after all, I am the one who makes sacrifices. All of you women are happy, how could I not be joyful?”

The Red Demonic Spirit was still laughing.

“You are an absolute scoundrel, I knew you were no good,” Yun’er retorted.

“If you know I’m no good, then why are you so clingy? Isn’t it your own fault?”

“You are the one at fault,” Yun’er continued, “And you have the nerve to call yourself a donor.”

“Oh, I am the one who suffers the most!”

“You’re the one who suffers the most?” Yun’er scoffed.

“Well, that’s just how I am, and I’ve got nothing to hide. If you’re worried about getting the short end of the stick, you can always choose someone else, really. I won’t stop you.”

Yun’er slapped him.

Ye Chen didn’t dodge, and there were now five finger-marks on his arm.

“Do you really think this isn’t flesh! You crazy woman.”

Another slap came his way, Ye Chen quickly dodged and said, “If you hit me again, I’ll use the ‘Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms’.”

Rong’er piped in, “Why did you start fighting again?”

She and He Xibai entered, bearing food.

Ye Chen immediately stood up and dashed over, exclaiming, “Finally, some good food to eat!”

“You two never seem to run out of steam, do you?” Rong’er and He Xibai set the food on the table.

“Hehe, it seems quite good. You know I like the Grilled Sesame Seed Cake,” Ye Chen said, reaching for one.

“I suggest you both just get married,” Rong’er chuckled.

Ye Chen curiously asked, “Why? Aren’t we better off as enemies?”

“You can bicker all day then. From morning till night and from night till morning again, wouldn’t that be great?”

“Getting married to argue.”

“Of course, it would be quite an adventure.”

“I’m afraid she might castrate me.”

Rong’er giggled and replied, “Well, then what’s the difference between her and being a widow.”

“That’s exactly what I said, but she never listened. What can I do?”

“Hey, let’s eat quickly. Sky Domain City is getting better each day. You both should go and take a look sometime.”

“We’ll go when we have time.”

Suddenly at that moment, someone rushed in. It was Jiang Zhuge, accompanied by Li Mo. They both seemed quite anxious and panic-stricken, but because it was so dark inside, it was hard to immediately understand their urgency.

He Xibai said, “Hey, perfect timing, you two. Come join us for a meal. We just bought all this food.”

But Ye Chen noticed the distressed expression on Jiang Zhuge’s face and asked, “Did something happen in the Demon Domain?”

Jiang Zhuge nodded and handed over the carrier pigeon’s letter he had just received.

Yun’er was somewhat anxious, if something were to happen in the Demon Domain, the only place they could turn to for help was the Demon Valley. She said, “You’re not joking, are you? Today is certainly not April Fool’s.”

Jiang Zhuge simply smiled faintly.

Yun’er snatched the letter from Ye Chen before he could read it and exclaimed, “No way!”

But it was undeniable. The letter made it clear. The Seal of the Raging Wolf Clan had been broken.

“How can this be!” Yun’er found it hard to believe. One moment they hear that Brother Longhun and co were surrounded, and the next the Seal had been broken. It was too much for her to take in.

“It seems that the Raging Wolves have been released, and this has become a reality,” Jiang Zhuge stated.

Ye Chen was stunned into silence. The cheerful atmosphere turned tense in an instant, quieting them down and making the room feel almost suffocating.

Jiang Zhuge explained, “We didn’t expect that they would use a destroyed passage. After more than ten days of rebuilding it, they managed to enter the Demon Valley and break the Seal.”

Rong’er upon hearing the news, asked, “Then what should we do?” She was now in a state of panic.

Jiang Zhuge responded, “I assume the Demon Domain’s in chaos now. The Xuan Clan were most likely annihilated, and only a small group must have been able to escape. Those left behind have been turned into Raging Wolves.”

Rong’er paused before saying, “Then the people of the Central Plains are all going to be turned into Raging Wolves!”
