Chapter 720 - 720 706 Revenge and Resentment

Chapter 720: Chapter 706: Revenge and Resentment Chapter 720: Chapter 706: Revenge and Resentment Gui Lang had no time to care about anything else at that moment.

Someone exclaimed, “San Gui didn’t get out.”

“Rest assured, I will avenge him in the future,” Gui Lang, accompanied by a small group of people, had already escaped without a trace. He was the fastest runner.

Ming Bei and Zun Yu had also come out, he was preparing to open the gap wider to enable more people to escape, but Shi Mu had already arrived with his men, filling the breach instantly.

Zun Yu still felt somewhat unwilling.

The people on Yuan Menhai’s side had heard that Gui Lang had opened a gap at Zhao Kun’s side. They had thrown caution to the wind and commanded their men to deal with the inconsequential pests, heading towards Zhao Kun. The situation had already descended into chaos.

Yuan Menhai couldn’t care less about anything else either.

Ming Bei was preparing to widen the gap, but just as Shi Mu arrived, he heard the sound of horse hooves from behind.

Someone reported: “The people from Tianle City are here.”

Zun Yu got a shock and shouted, “Ming Bei, we should hurry and leave, We can’t save them, and if we don’t leave now, we’ll be in danger too. Let’s go.”

Ming Bei looked around, indeed, the yellow sand was sweeping across the horizon, leaving him no choice but to nod.

Yuan Menhai seemed to have used up all his strength, he had already seen Ming Bei and the others, but just when he was a few steps away, Ming Bei and Zun Yu escaped.

Suddenly, a large group of people surged forward, and the gap that had been opened was closed again.

The people who came to kill were the disciples of the New City Sect led by Kong Sha.

Yuan Menhai felt like his cries for help were falling on deaf ears and didn’t know what to do.

Rong’er had set her sight on Luo Hai, the one who had caused the destruction of her family.

“The Lin father and son are already dead, and you, this useless fellow, can’t escape today.” Leaping forward, she performed the Willow Leaf Sword Technique taught to her by Ye Chen.

Like a whirlwind, she rushed towards Luo Hai.

Luo Hai didn’t know what was happening and at that moment he was like a rat, trying to escape.

But Rong’er intercepted him.

Upon seeing her, Luo Hai yelled, “You little girl, you don’t want to live anymore, do you?”

“I wonder where you, this rat, think you can run off to today,” said Wan Danrong.

Luo Hai immediately remembered her. She was the escaped girl from the Wan Residence. He sneered, “You want revenge, don’t you? It’s a pity that I didn’t capture you before, or else I would make sure you die a miserable death.”

“Hehe, if you don’t die today, it would be an affront to the heavens.” Sword shadows flew over.

Boom, boom, boom…

The girl was quite capable. She wasn’t this powerful last time. Luo Hai dare not take her lightly and exclaimed, “I don’t have time to play with you today. I’ll settle the scores with you another day.”

Undoubtedly, fleeing was the most important thing at the moment.

“You want to run away? You’re daydreaming.” With several thunderclap-like slashes of her sword, she engaged him. Just one move of her sword was enough to almost chop off Luo Hai’s ear.

“Little girl, you want to kill me!” Luo Hai yelled, “Ba Qi, get her for me, catch her and skin her alive.”

The Red Demonic Spirit was within Rong’er at this time.

Boom, boom…

Several energy waves were released like a cover pouring down from the sky.

And Kong Sha had already rushed in and instructed several disciples to block off the breach and come assist Rong’er.

There were no other considerations. The encirclement had started to shrink.

Zun Yu and the others who had escaped were nowhere to be seen.

Rong’er was intently watching Luo Hai.

“Little girl, you really don’t want to live.” Luo Hai seemed to be completely infuriated. He was now like a cornered rat.

Rong’er’s sword moves were more nimble than before, and she was originally planning to let Ba Qi deal with her.

But now that Kong Sha’s people had come in and the encirclement was constantly shrinking, they had to deal with Ba Qi. Luo Hai was stuck, unable to break free.

“Fine, today I will kill you first. Once you are dead, even if I die here, it will have been worth it.” Luo Hai, like a mad dog, pounced at her frantically.

His two big swords spun like a juggler’s clubs, catching her off guard.

While Rong’er’s martial arts had improved, they hadn’t advanced as quickly as Luo Hai’s internal power. Being a warrior by profession, Luo Hai was naturally more proficient than Rong’er in this respect.

Rong’er, eager for revenge, had to kill him personally to avenge her deceased father.

Looking at Wan Danrong, Luo Hai was grinding his teeth. If he didn’t deal with this girl, he probably wouldn’t be able to get away. He absolutely had to quickly deal with her.

However, despite his many moves, which were evidently advantaged, he could not win. He didn’t know why.

He did not know that Wan Danrong was being assisted by the Red Demonic Spirit.

He released a fireball. Wan Danrong seemed like she was going to be unable to resist it, but in the end, she managed to split it open.

Luo Hai was extremely anxious. His two big swords had no effect. At this point, Wan Danrong was slowly gaining the upper hand.

The Red Demonic Spirit had just fused with her body. She needed some time to assimilate it. After more than two hours, they were more or less integrated. Hence, she slowly shifted from disadvantage to advantage.

She was forcing Luo Hai to step back continuously.

Suddenly, with a swift move of the sword, Luo Hai crossed his two swords, three swords met, trapping the incoming sword. With a loud clang, Rong’er nearly forced Luo Hai to kneel.

Luo Hai was somewhat shocked and exclaimed, “What the hell did you eat! How did you become so powerful all of a sudden?!”

With a sweeping kick, Luo Hai was sent flying.

He landed on the ground like a toppled turtle, eating a mouthful of sand. His knife had fallen behind him. It must be dark magic; this girl’s martial arts techniques were not so advanced, surely something was assisting her.

Rong’er coldly retorted, “So, you like playing the turtle today. I’ve got you cornered, rat. There’s no escaping now.”

Rong’er let out a sigh of relief and turned toward Luo Hai, who was still sprawled on the ground, slowly making her way over to him.

Luo Hai felt utterly humiliated. As he spat out sand and struggled to his feet, he took out a packet of something from his bosom and shouted, “Try out this gender-altering potion I made especially for you!”

The powder flew toward her like a mist, threatening to envelop her.

Seeing the danger, Red Demonic Spirit quickly darted out, appearing like a large net in front of Rong’er, reflecting all of the incoming powder back toward Luo Hai. Caught off guard, Luo Hai was clueless about the dark cloud that was descending upon him.

With each successive strike from his sword, the mist was being reflected back toward him.

Panic enveloped him; the Red Demonic Spirit was nimble, and his sword couldn’t reach it. It seemed like he had been poisoned by his own potion. Desperately seeking an antidote, the Red Demonic Spirit blocked his vision.

Taking advantage of the situation, Rong’er spun around and thrust her sword straight through him.

Red Demonic Spirit then moved out of the way.

Luo Hai fell dead on the spot.

The Red Demonic Spirit began to cough, saying, “What was that about a gender-altering potion? I think I got hit too. My voice is starting to change.”

Rong’er was a bit dumbfounded and said, “Your voice does sound more androgynous now, but it’s quite pleasant, not at all like an old demon.”

“You brat, instead of laughing, find me an antidote, now! Do you want me to lose my gender, are you enjoying this?!”

Rong’er tried to stifle her laughter as she rummaged through Luo Hai’s belongings and discovered a vial, remarking, “It should be this one.”

The Red Demonic Spirit’s voice had already taken on a decidedly feminine lilt as he loudly protested, “Enough fooling around.”

“Your voice is so sweet!”

“Sweet your head! I swear, if you make me permanently genderless, there’ll be hell to pay.” The Red Demonic Spirit swallowed the antidote regardless of whether it was genuine.

Rong’er glanced at Luo Hai’s lifeless body. She had finally avenged her father. Looking towards the sky, she was lost in thought.

Meanwhile, the Red Demonic Spirit was trying to regain his original voice, asking, “Has my voice returned to normal?”

“It’s still very sweet.”

“Don’t tell me you picked the wrong antidote.”

“I don’t know, maybe you should have looked for it yourself.” Rong’er continued, “Even if you took the antidote, it’s not possible for everything to revert back immediately. It’s not going to happen that fast.”

Red Demonic Spirit, not believing her, patted Luo Hai’s dead body and found no other vial.

Rong’er commented, “Your voice actually sounds better now, more attractive than that duck-like voice.”

“Damned weirdo, why would he carry a potion like this?” The Red Demonic Spirit was at a loss for words, seething with anger.

“Are we leaving or not? We still have work to do.”

“But he wanted to make you genderless.”

“I know, I owe you one. I remember.”

“Of course, you owe me,” said the Red Demonic Spirit.

“So, do you want me to repay you with my body? But you have no physical body to make that useful.”

The Red Demonic Spirit glared at her.

“Don’t be angry, I’m not disrespecting you. Let’s get going. Don’t worry, my new master, I won’t let you become genderless.”

“Listen, your voice is becoming more feminine.”

“Oh, come on, you’re reading too much into it. Let’s go, we have a lot to do.”

San Gui, upon seeing that Gui Lang had abandoned him, cursed, “This damn turtle bastard! Why on earth did I ever trust his words and stayed behind?”

“You do realize he’s a turtle bastard now, don’t you? But it’s too late for regrets!” Li Mo declared as he made his move.

San Gui felt like cursing his bad luck. He had been so stupid.

If he had followed Zun Yu and the others, he could have escaped. Instead, he had been foolish enough to stay behind.

“I surrender.” San Gui was now on his knees; his situation was hopeless.

“No surrendering allowed.”

“Wait, since when do the righteous not allow surrender?”

Yuan Menhai struck out at Ye Chen with a powerful palm strike. Although his power was formidable, it was no match for Ye Chen. Ye Chen didn’t want to prolong this fight. He countered with a palm strike and cut off his opponent’s energy. His other palm penetrated the wave of energy Yuan Menhai had unleashed and struck him directly.

Yuan Menhai was sent crashing to the ground.

As Yuan Menhai tried to flee, he was caught off guard by Ling’er’s lightning blast. He hadn’t run too far when a bolt of lightning hit him and took his life.

By this time, those surrounded had submitted or been killed. They were under control now.

That Tan Gao was also killed.
