Super God Grandmaster
Chapter 669 - 669 655 Manly

Chapter 669: Chapter 655: Manly Chapter 669: Chapter 655: Manly The courtyard was pretty large, they entered and after some time of circling around, they had completely lost their sense of direction.

Ye Chen remarked, “This damn Shi Mu said it wasn’t big, just how big does something have to be to be considered large.”

Guo Yuyun retorted, “You’re such a blockhead, you’re just directionally challenged, always thinking about looking at beautiful women.” She snatched the map out of his hands.

Ye Chen’s nostrils flared slightly in annoyance.

They got closer and suddenly spotted a high-rise building that outshined all the others around. Lanterns densely hung all over the building, bathing the whole courtyard in a warm, red glow.

Ye Chen stopped and said, “It should be just ahead.”

The building was as magnificent as a brothel, bustling with people, probably many servants.

There were patrols at all times. Ye Chen pointed to a building opposite the high-rise, quieter and seemingly abandoned, and suggested, “Let’s go to that building over there.”

It looked like a library, a two-story building. From the second floor, they should be able to view the inside of the Red Mansion.

As they walked by, Ye Chen unlocked the door to the Book Collection Pavilion.

Guo Yuyun, a bit surprised, commented, “You’re pretty nimble, just casually unlocking people’s locks.”

“Of course, I’ve done this kind of thing countless times before, especially loved opening the doors of young women’s rooms.” Ye Chen had already entered the pitch-black library.

When they reached the second floor, they could indeed see the courtyard on the other side, it was the Mysterious Fragrance Pavilion that Shi Mu had mentioned, but only three maids were present.

The security wasn’t tight tonight, but it definitely wouldn’t be this easy to get in on the night they planned to assassinate Yang Jing.

Ye Chen circled the second floor of the library, assessed the surrounding terrain, and memorized the layout inside. He still needed to plan his escape after all.

Ye Chen pointed to a tower outside the Hundred Flowers Garden, nudged Yu Yun, and said, “Sweet Potato, you’ll be in that tower across from us. Once I confirm that Yang Jing is dead , I’ll light a torch here. You’ll be able to see it from the tower, and signal Shi Mu and Can Mo once I do.”

“Understood,” said Guo Yuyun.

Just when Ye Chen turned around, there was some movement in the courtyard across.

A person who seemed to shine walked out.

Yu Yun was about to leave, but her gaze was immediately stolen, rendering her unable to move. Guo Yuyun took a look and was stunned by the enchanting sight, she mumbled, “Gosh, why bother wearing anything.”

The thin veil of her clothing fluttered up with the slightest breeze, revealing her perfectly curved figure. It was enough to make one rooted to the spot.

Ye Chen also sighed, “Indeed, why not just…” Drool was about to drop from his mouth.

A finger jabbed him from the side.

He yelped, “Hey! What are you doing?” He quickly shooed her hand away.

“Your drool is about to drop.”

Ye Chen lay on the railing, his neck stretching out as if it had suddenly grown longer.

“You’re so shameless, can’t you have a bit of self-respect?”

“You wouldn’t understand, this is what it means to have curves in all the right places, you should learn a thing or two from her.”

“So I should learn to wear nothing too?”

Ye Chen looked over, his imagination running wild, a hand slapped him and scolded, “You big pervert, what are you looking at.”

“I was just thinking about how you would look like if you weren’t wearing anything…”

A slap came flying over.

Ye Chen caught her hand,

She swung over her other hand, which Ye Chen also caught. Maybe because the night was too dark, they tumbled and fell. Ye Chen landed directly on top of her.

A loud thud shocked the patrolling guards below who looked up in surprise.

Ye Chen quickly hushed Yu Yun and said, “Don’t move.”

Yu Yun could hear her own heartbeat pounding and her breath huffed in short, quick bursts. She was so nervous that she dare not move.

The people underneath circled around a bit, not noticing any unusual sounds, then finally left.

Ye Chen sighed in relief, turned his head, and saw sweat glistening on her forehead. She looked like a suddenly tamed leopard cub. Ye Chen touched her face.

“What are you doing!” Guo Yuyun was perplexed and scared, completely at a loss.

“Why don’t we convert our raw rice into cooked rice tonight?”

A slap sent him sprawling as she clumsily stood up. Her face was flushed as she ran off.

“Hey, this is a rare opportunity! You’ve missed it. Next time I’ll have to find someone else for converting raw rice into cooked rice.”

Guo Yuyun didn’t say anything; her heart was still pounding at an alarming rate. She hadn’t yet fully recovered; her face was still burning hot. Although she wished something could happen between her and Ye Chen, when it seemed like it could really happen she would begin to panic. She wasn’t mentally prepared yet.

The two quickly retraced their original route, hopped over the walls, and was outside in no time.

“Why is your face so red?”

Guo Yuyun touched her face, it indeed still felt warm. It was as if she just finished a drink and the alcohol kicked in.

“It’s not.”

“Who would have thought you’d get so flustered.”

“I didn’t get flustered.”

“Right, your face just happens to be as red as a monkey’s bum.”

A foot aimed a kick at him.

“What do you want to eat? I’m buying,” Ye Chen offered.

Yun’er trailed close behind him.

“Hopefully, everything will be sorted soon,” Ye Chen said convincingly. He was certain that as long as the No. One Heroes were dealt with first, the Third Demon wouldn’t pose too big a problem.

“One problem solved, many more to handle,” he added nonchalantly.

They gradually neared the bustling street, which was suddenly filled with many people.

“What do you feel like eating?”

“I want some sugar water and Tangyuan (sweet dumplings).”

The pair headed towards the quiet Tangyuan shop.

Ye Chen seemed lost in thought again, seemingly still thinking about the girl he met at the Mysterious Fragrance Pavilion.

“Still fantasizing about that girl?”

“How did you know? It would be quite interesting if we conquer Ghost City and take her directly back to our Tianle City,” he mused.

Yun’er snorted, her mouth full of Tangyuan.

“That woman earlier was indeed very beautiful,” Ye Chen confessed, looking at Yun’er’s expression.

“Even if you don’t mention it, you are already a big flirt,” Guo Yuyun retorted.

“I don’t care. She was indeed beautiful. When Shi Mu becomes the lord of Ghost City and takes her back home to comfort his heart, it would be quite good.”

Guo Yuyun stared at him angrily, exclaiming, “I wish they had chosen to assassinate you instead!”

“You couldn’t bear that,” he retorted smugly.

“When on earth did you become so annoying?” she asked, exasperated.

“Alright then, we’ve seen quite a bit of Ghost City. How do you like it so far? Anywhere else you want to go?” asked Ye Chen.

“The Piaoxiang Tavern,” Yun’er suggested.

“Oh, you’ve reminded me! We haven’t visited the Piaoxiang Tavern yet. It would be a shame not to while we’re here,” exclaimed Ye Chen. He called out, “Master, ten more skewers please.”

The master responded, “Coming right up.”

“You should learn a thing or two from her, maybe be a bit softer, okay! Instead of acting like a furious tiger, ready to bite someone’s head off. It’s really not good; you’re scaring everyone away,” Ye Chen remarked.

“Should I also learn to dress like her, wearing almost nothing?”

Ye Chen chuckled, “If you did dress like her, it would indeed leave much to the imagination.”

She shot a chopstick at him, and Ye Chen barely managed to dodge.

“Look at you, even when you’re eating, you resemble a man. Didn’t your elder sister teach you how to eat gracefully?”

The skewers arrived.

Guo Yuyun grabbed one and started munching, shaking her head and saying, “Never. I quite like the way I am now.”

“That’s great indeed, one leg on the chair, another one with a bowl of liquor. You’re a true man,” commented Ye Chen.

“You never used to nitpick so much,” retorted Guo Yuyun, still chewing on the barbequed meat.

“Well, that was before, I’ve grown fond of gentle behavior now.”

Thinking about it, Guo Yuyun seemed as if she wanted to be more gentle too. But soon after, she shook her head and gave up that thought, stating, “I can’t pretend to be that way, I just can’t learn to.”

Ye Chen chuckled, “Clearly.”

“Could you please wipe your mouth?” Ye Chen handed her a handkerchief.

She took it and wiped her face and looked at it, surprised by the embroidered flowers on the white handkerchief, “Why do you, a grown man, carry around such a handkerchief with flowers on it?”

“Is that wrong?”

“You look like a eunuch. I wasn’t even aware you had this hobby. It can’t be yours, can it?”

“Indeed, it’s not mine. It’s Feng Niang’s. Pretty, isn’t it?”

Upon hearing that, Guo Yuyun threw the handkerchief onto the street immediately.

Ye Chen rushed to pick it up, trying to lighten the mood by saying, “Hey now, it’s just a handkerchief. Don’t have to be jealous.”

“Seems like you are pretty desperate.”

“Yes, indeed! What’s wrong with it?”

Yun’er continued enjoying her meal.

“Seems like you’ve kept it for quite a while, haven’t you?”

Ye Chen gave a small smile, “Indeed.”

“Give it to me.”

“Why?”

“To tear it up.”

“Why are you so possessive and jealous?” Ye Chen quickly took the handkerchief back.

Yun’er held her head in her hands, pondering, “As long as Yang Jing can be dealt with, we should be able to handle Yuan Menhai quickly.”
