Gua Zhengnie stared at Wasteland City in the distance, still shrouded in layers of mist. His mind was filled with thoughts of his mansion and the two women he loved so dearly.

He would make the people of the New City Sect pay in blood. He would turn Wasteland City and his estate into ruins in order to satisfy his thirst for revenge.

It seemed as though the sun today was hesitant to rise.

Xiao Bai walked over, nodding at Gua Zhengnie.

Gua Zhengnie turned to Gui Lang and said, “Within an hour, launch all the Fireballs into the city. I want none left behind.”

Recalling how he was tormented by men from the New City Sect, how they drained his blood, how much he was chastised by Gua Zhengnie, all these were gifts given to him. He headed towards the siege machinery in the rear, bellowing, “No one dare slack off! Launch every fireball, not a single one left behind, within an hour!”

Loud booms shattered the tranquility of the mountains. In less than a moment, buildings within the city had caught on fire.

Then a swarm of Winged Dragons came soaring across the sky, accompanied by meteor-like fireballs. Thick black smoke was already rising from dozens of places within the city.

Ye Chen and Li Mo were in a corner of the city’s wall. They didn’t pay any attention to the burning buildings inside the city. Li Mo said, “That damn Gua Zhengnie has gone mad. He wants to turn Wasteland City into a sea of flames.”

Ye Chen replied, “It seems those two women truly were his true loves.”

“That madman, he wants to turn this place into ruins. I’ll remember this, we’ll give it back to him in time,” Li Mo stared at the city below.

Ye Chen smiled and said, “Well, these buildings are dilapidated to begin with. We were planning to tear them down and rebuild anyway. If they’re so eager to help us accomplish that, then we should thank them.”

The roaring Winged Dragons flew in, not just attacking the city walls but also the crowds hiding on them.

Ye Chen didn’t have people to spare to extinguish the fire nor did he plan to. His current priority was to ensure everyone conserved their strength for dealing with the people who wanted to break in.

Ye Chen called out to Jiang Zhuge, who quickly understood and signaled to Can Mo below. Can Mo immediately unleashed the Winged Dragons they had prepared.

He wouldn’t let these dragons randomly kill people.

Countless Winged Dragons flew out from the city to meet the Winged Dragons unleashed by the Third Demon. In no time at all, the sky was full of swirling fireballs and the deafening roar. The angry dragons clashed, their violent screeches echoing constantly, turning the sky into a battlefield.

Gui Lang said, “Now, this is what you call a sea of fire!”

The most brutal fighting was happening in the sky above the city walls.

Ye Chen and the others were waiting. Li Mo was thinking, let these guys enjoy themselves for now. Soon enough, he would make them pay.

Before they knew it, an hour had passed and Gui Lang was indeed creating the chaos that Gua Zhengnie wanted. Gradually, the fireballs being launched began to diminish.

The number of fireballs flying towards the city gradually decreased.

The disciples hidden on the city walls emerged, first letting loose their bow and arrow and hidden weapons at the approaching enemies then drawing their swords to fight those trying to reach the city wall.

The battle was on in less than an hour.

Ye Chen looked at Guan Yi and Liu Yunzhi in the distance.

They both nodded.

Ye Chen could no longer resist. He charged at Zun Yu, who had already made it onto the city wall. With a few overwhelming Cloud Palm Strikes, he disoriented Zun Yu.

The Winged Dragons in the sky were still dominated by the Third Demon. However, it wasn’t because the New City Sect didn’t have their Winged Dragons, but because they were saving a large quantity of them, waiting for the right time to release them.

Facing their omni-directional attack by the multitude of Winged Dragons, Ye Chen could only utilise the city-defence weapons that had been prepared. Although they seemed to be at a disadvantage, they were still able to hold their ground.

Boom, boom, boom! Wasteland City had already turned into a sea of flames.

Zun Yu is no match for Ye Chen, even if Ye Chen’s wounds are not fully healed, it’s not a problem to take care of him.

“You’ve grown fat as a pig, yet you dare to present your ugliness? Aren’t you afraid I’ll pluck out your pig bristles?” Ye Chen challenged.

“You little mongrel, don’t be arrogant. I’ll make sure you have nowhere to be buried today.” Zun Yu retorted.

“With your abilities? Even Gua Zhengnie is no match for me. You’re so obedient, taking the lead for him just for his concubines. Is it worth it?” Ye Chen flew up, summoned a Cloud Palm Strike and energy surged out like a ferocious beast, sending him reeling back in retreat.

An infuriated Zun Yu immediately drew his broadsword and slashed at him.

Ye Chen conjured a Light Wave and with a bang, he blocked the incoming broadsword. Simultaneously, he called upon another palmful of energy and struck at Zun Yu, forcing him to hastily retract his broadsword and counter strike, releasing an energy wave to hinder the incoming surge.

Not bad, he has some strength.

With a strong stomp onto the ground, Ye Chen soared into the air and let out a roar, unleashing dozens of rays of light aimed at Zun Yu. Zun Yu swiftly parried them, whirling up a cyclone resembling a devil that devoured the rays while launching another attack on Ye Chen.

Ye Chen released a bolt of lightning, deflecting his broadsword right away.

An in disbelief Zun Yu roared and flew into the air. With a wave of energy, his broadsword transformed into an even larger one.

He charged directly at Ye Chen, who summoned a Half Light Wave to block the raging sword, forcing it back towards the ground.

Refusing to believe his luck, Zun Yu swiftly pulled out, rotating his sword full circle to launch another attack. With a loud bang, he released a shock wave. Ye Chen’s Light Wave had already cracked and was on the brink of shattering.

Ye Chen was taken aback. He didn’t expect Zun Yu to have such abilities.

The ground was quaking and cracking beneath them.

Ye Chen retreated a little.

Zun Yu thought if he launched another attack, he could surely break through, so he attempted to draw out again and strike once more.

However, Ye Chen wouldn’t let him do so. He immediately released a surge of energy that struck like lightning against the broadsword, hanging it mid-air and stabilized the situation.

Whatever the sword was made of was astoundingly robust, not a scratch on it.

Ye Chen wasn’t in the mood to play with him anymore. He yelled out in fury, transformed himself into a surge of energy, and shot towards Zun Yu, who responded with a sword strike.

A shockwave was released, sending Zun Yu flying back several feet. After all, his abilities were inferior to Ye Chen’s.

Ye Chen shook off the broadsword and before Zun Yu could recover, he attacked again, thrusting Zun Yu from mid-air back to the ground.

A surge of energy like a flood from a broken dam kept hitting Zun Yu. He hastily swung his broadsword to block the incoming Ye Chen, who had increased his power by more than tenfold during this exchange, and punched Zun Yu’s sword right out of his hand.

Ye Chen continued to charge at him. Without his sword to help him, Zun Yu tried to block Ye Chen with his palm. But like a lightning bolt from the sky, Ye Chen struck him down to the ground, sending Zun Yu flying off the city wall, crashing through barriers and collapsing a building.

Ye Chen prepared to set the ruined building ablaze with a palm strike when someone jumped out. With a flurry of wild sword strokes and several lethal moves, Ye Chen was forced to step back. The person attacking him was Kuang Shen.

Xiao Bai hurriedly saved Zun Yu from the ruined area.

Enraged, Zun Yu complained, “Why hasn’t the smoke been released yet? Let’s kill our way into the city.”

Xiao Bai nodded and immediately sent up the signal for smoke.

Several smoke bombs were flying into the city. Some were intercepted outside the city, but a portion had already fallen into the city.

In an instant, thick smoke emerged everywhere.

Ye Chen glanced towards the city and guessed that they must be preparing to enter the city, immediately unleashed two palm strikes, pushed away Kuang Shen and broke free to find Jiang Zhuge.

Xiao Bai was also visibly surprised. This was unexpected indeed. It was not this easy when he attacked the city last time. Why was it easier this time? It didn’t make sense. They had fewer men this time, but it was harder to enter the city last time.

Zun Yu patted Xiao Bai and said, “Third Brother, what are you pondering? Let’s hurry up. We can’t let these bastards live.”

Gui Lang was still releasing smoke, exclaiming, “I’ll smoke you bastards out.”
