At this point, chaos had already erupted within the city. A few monsters pounced upon him, and Gua Zhengnie hesitated before ordering, “Don’t go forward, it seems they’ve already infiltrated the city. Order all disciples of the Third Demon to return to the mansion.”

While Gua Zhengnie’s mansion could be considered a city within a city, despite its small size, things in the city obviously spiraled out of control. If he retreated to his mansion to defend it, there might still be a chance.

He quickly led a large group of people back to his mansion.

Gua Zhengnie shouted, “Hold the fort. They only have around two hundred people, and we outnumber them. Stand your ground, Xiao Bai and others will return soon to dispose of them.”

What Ye Chen wanted to do was drive them back to the mansion. He appeared much calmer now; the real challenge was not capturing the mansion, but applying pressure, which was the most crucial part. Their objective was to pressure Xiao Bai and compel him back.

As long as Gua Zhengnie retreated into the mansion, he would not be able to threaten the city’s civilians.

Ye Chen glanced back at Guan Yi and Liu Yunzhi and said, “This is enough; let’s clear the city of the Third Demon’s disciples.”

Guan Yi nodded in agreement.

“We can take it slow now.” After a two-hour slaughter, the winged dragons started to massacre in the skies above Gua Zhengnie’s mansion.

Ling’er was outside the city, and Mu Wanlan knew she was worried. Someone came back and reported that Ye Chen had attacked the Third Demon’s mansion, trapping Gua Zhengnie’s men inside the mansion. Ling’er felt somewhat reassured upon hearing it.

Mu Wanlan said, “Ah, we can finally relax now.”

After leading the people of the New City Sect in, he ran away. His whereabouts are unknown now.”

“I knew that idiot would cause disaster.” Gua Zhengnie, looking at his mansion which he had painstakingly built to enjoy peace for a few days before it was about to turn into inferno, couldn’t bear it anymore and shouted, “Have Xiao Bai, by any means possible, hurry back to Sky Domain City immediately!”

That subordinate immediately took off.

The news of the attack on Sky Domain City soon arrived at Ghost City, and Mitra Monk also quickly came to know about it.

Meng Xiuluo stated, “I didn’t expect that the people from New City Sect would bring people from the Demon Domain into the Wastelands.”

Jing Po commented, “I heard that not many people were brought in, about two to three hundred at most. Gua Zhengnie has brought four to five hundred people, they should be able to block them.”

“So this large fire is certainly timely. What should we do? We can’t let New City Sect gain an upper hand,” questioned Jing Po.

“There’s no rush. Getting anxious won’t help. Perhaps things are not as bad as they seem. The New City Sect might not have brought many people into the Wastelands,” Mitra Monk suggested.

“Is that your assumption?”

Meng Xiuluo added, “If they really did bring a lot of people into the Wastelands, they should have seized Gua Zhengnie in one fell swoop and forced Xiao Bai and his party to surrender their weapons. But obviously, they haven’t managed it.”

Jing Po nodded saying, “That’s true, perhaps they are genuinely trying to save the people of the Wasteland City.”

After a night of fighting, Ye Chen furthered the chaos by unleashing fire and monsters. Gua Zhengnie was restless, even considering surrender. Once again urging Xiao Bai to rush back urgently.
