I intentionally came here on an empty stomach.

By the time Ye Chen arrived, the majority of the sect leaders and chiefs were already present.

Su Hong, who was also among them, was continuously greeting the newcomers.

Upon seeing Ye Chen approaching, Su Hong called out, “Ye Chen, come sit at this table.” He gestured towards the one in the middle.

“Today, we’ve congregated members from all the sects in the Immortal and Demon Domains, including those from the New City Sect here in our Immortal City. Our goal is to discuss how we plan to deal with the Dragon Slaying Clan when they invade the Central Plains. This is our top priority. Everyone, please share your thoughts.”

A Sect Leader suggested, “The Alliance Leader should be the one to speak. After all, he defeated the Mutant Winged Dragon eighteen years ago.”

“That was a long time ago,” remarked Su Hong.

The Sect Leader of Qingxuan Sect, Wan Shatong, said, “The most pressing issue now is not knowing when or how the Dragon Slaying Clan will enter the Central Plains.”

“Can’t we just muster our armies to block their exit in the Wastelands? We can wait for them to emerge and battle them head-on,” proposed Gu Xueyun of the Heavenly City Sect.

Guan Yi countered, “You don’t know when they will enter the Central Plains. If they decide to delay their invasion by a few months, what then? Are we going to go into the Wastelands to look for them? That’s definitely less ideal than defending the Central Plains.”

“Secondly, the Dragon Slaying Clan still has a large force within our Central Plains region already gearing up for battle. I heard that Slaughter Saint is already preparing for action, their operations likely aimed to coordinate with the Mutant Winged Dragon. Anyway, the tactic to block their exit is unreasonable. Guan Yi suggested, “Rather than making guesses, why don’t we just keep an eye on them? They haven’t entered the Central Plains yet. As long as we monitor their movements, we will know their plan, whether it’s to attack Immortal City or if they have different intentions.”

Ye Chen retorted, “You can keep track of a couple of groups, but not too many. You can monitor them for a short while, but not in the long run. Even the group led by the Zen Master managed to shake off those keeping tabs on him within a move or two, didn’t they?”

The thing that Su Hong was really worried about was precisely this.

“What other solutions do we have? We’re not mind readers, we can’t guess their true intentions,” someone said.

Guan Yi said, “What Sect Leader Ye said is correct, but we have no alternative. We have to find a way to follow them and keep an eye on them. If all else fails, we’ll come up with something.”

Ye Chen responded, “I’m just brainstorming here. If I were the Mutant Winged Dragon, I might consider attacking all three locations. But as for what the Dragon will actually do, I have no idea. Others should have their say.”

Su Hong said, “Ye Chen’s analysis is not wrong. I was indeed careless. If we allocate all of our forces to Immortal City, and they choose to attack the Demon Palace or Heavenly City instead, the threat they pose would indeed be substantial.”
