Chapter 1127 - 1127 1113 The Death of Pan Jianglong
Chapter 1127: Chapter 1113: The Death of Pan Jianglong Chapter 1127: Chapter 1113: The Death of Pan Jianglong It truly was a great monster enraged.
Ye Chen summoned all his focus, knowing that in a duel between experts, every little bit was a matter of life and death.
With a loud shout, he forced his own energy out.
Pan Jianglong was somewhat incredulous, refusing to believe this youngster could be so invincible. How could it be possible? Internal Power naturally deepens with age, and this he understood very well. An eighteen-year-old youth, no matter how profound, would still be limited by experience.
But what he didn’t know was that with the help of both the Red Demonic Spirit and the Black Demonic Spirit, Ye Chen’s Internal Power was in no way inferior to his opponent’s.
Energy surged over like a torrent, resembling an immense army bearing down.
Ye Chen calmed himself. He couldn’t be hasty; he wanted to see just how much he had improved during this period.
Yet, he knew that provoking Pan Jianglong to desperation was risky. The more crucial the moment, the more he needed to stay calm.
Ouyang Yue caught sight again of that hulking figure from that night, the one who had said he would devour her.
That evening, she had escaped by the skin of her teeth.
Ouyang Yue came at them with Jiu Hu in tow, saying, “Jiu Hu, this is the guy. That night, he tried to lay his hands on me.”
Jiu Hu glanced at Silver Fox, saying, “Don’t worry, leave him to me.”
Silver Fox, seeing Ouyang Yue, said icily, “You stinking woman, kicking me there, I’ll never let this go.” As he spoke, he still felt pain in his groin.
“If nobody had rescued you, I would have castrated you that very night,” Ouyang Yue retorted, flaring her nostrils.
“Damn it, if I catch you again, I’ll skin you alive,” he swore.
“You’ll skin me, won’t you?” Ouyang Yue drew four or five throwing darts, launching them straight at his crotch.
“You’re vicious, woman!” If Silver Fox hadn’t promptly defended himself, blocking with his sword, he would have surely been hit.
Knowing Silver Fox’s Martial arts were no ordinary feat, and fearing Ouyang Yue might get hurt, Jiu Hu said, “Step aside, I’ll handle this.” The sword in his hand released several rays of energy, attacking Silver Fox.
Silver Fox was resentful, thinking how unlucky he was that night, letting the “cooked duck” slip away and still getting scolded for it. The thought alone made him furious.
Jiu Hu was pushed back continuously by Silver Fox’s lightning sword, and it wasn’t until Nangong Yao stepped in that they managed to suppress the rampaging Silver Fox.
Within half an hour, the conflict escalated, with fire-breathing Winged Dragons soaring the skies and monsters on the ground roaring incessantly.
The forces on both sides were evenly matched.
Exactly as Shao Hengjiang had anticipated.
A henchman rushed over, reporting, “We’ve fully engaged them; they’ve fallen right into our plan.”
Nangong Yan ran over, saying, “Father, shouldn’t we signal Shangguan Wudi now?”
“Hmm, I’ve already sent him the signal. Rest assured, everything is under our control,” Shao Hengjiang responded, somewhat surprised and quite pleased at being addressed as father.
“Really? Shangguan Wudi wouldn’t play us, would he?”
“Don’t worry, everything is in our control. Just be careful and follow from behind.”
Nangong Yan nodded faintly.
Ye Chen withstood Pan Jianglong’s killer moves.
Although Pan Jianglong’s techniques were fierce and his Inner Power was profound, he was too impulsive, seeking to defeat Ye Chen in one go, which instead led to his own depletion.
Ye Chen was exploiting this very aspect, wearing him down. The further into the fight they went, the more apparent the advantage became. The young naturally have more stamina than the old.
The Black Demonic Spirit could hardly stand it anymore, shouting, “Monkey, counterattack now!” It was unbearable to be on the defensive all the time.
Ye Chen smiled faintly and said, “Alright, the counterattack it is. Let him taste our ‘Ghostly Howls and Wolf Wails.'” His martial prowess suddenly spiked, releasing the pent-up energy in an instant.
With a boom, he shattered the Energy Barrier, charging towards his opponent.
With a crack, he swallowed up Pan Jianglong’s tornado that bore down with lightning.
Only then did Pan Jianglong realize that he had been worn down by the youth’s tactics.
The powerful energy was swiftly unleashed, quickly demonstrating its might.
Like a beam of light, it swallowed up those dark energies.
Just then, a massive explosion sounded from behind—it came from Pan Jianglong’s fortress.
Smoke billowed up soon after.
Pan Jianglong was blown back by Ye Chen’s strike, disoriented. The sound of fighting was rising from behind, yet he had no clue what had happened.
It took a while before someone came running to tell Pan Jianglong that it was Shangguan Wudi’s men who had infiltrated their fortress through a secret passage.
Pan Jianglong was utterly dumbfounded. How could he have anticipated that Shangguan Wudi, having just escaped, would now cooperate with Shao Hengjiang’s men? In his view, it was an impossibility. The Sacred Spirit Sect’s people had trapped them on this isolated island for a century—how could Shangguan Wudi collaborate with them? He exploded with rage at the thought.
Yin Qi said, “It’s all true; they’ve truly joined forces.”
“Damn it, I should have finished off Shangguan Wudi a long time ago,” Pan Jianglong regretted not having been ruthless enough back then; it had led him to this dire situation. If he had killed Shangguan Wudi, perhaps today’s events wouldn’t have happened.
Yin Qi said, “We should hurry up and retreat.”
Ye Chen certainly wasn’t about to let Pan Jianglong escape—it was the perfect moment. He released all his energy and called out, “Thinking of running away without asking me?” He hadn’t even shown his full strength yet; how could he possibly let his opponent escape?
He pressed forward with his energy, launching an attack towards the enemy.
Seeing the fire in the direction of Pan Jianglong’s base, Nangong Yan remarked, “It would seem that Shangguan Wudi has not betrayed us.”
“Good, indeed,” said Shao Hengjiang as he called over several of his subordinates, “We’re about to encircle them.”
Everything had already been prepared; they were just waiting for this moment.
Shangguan Wudi led his men out in a charge, setting fires and causing chaos everywhere. Decades of grudges culminated at this moment; how could he let Pan Jianglong slip away?
Shangguan Wudi called over Pei Kui and said, “I’m leaving this place to you.” After speaking, he led a group of elites to surge forward towards the enemy.
The situation was basically under control; Pan Jianglong’s men were all out front, and there were few people left in his base. With the others caught up in a fierce battle elsewhere and unable to return, the chaos quickly led to them gaining control of the situation.
Silver Fox realized that their base had been captured and that Pan Jianglong was being pinned down on the other side. The encirclement was beginning, and they were becoming more and more passive.
A subordinate, stunned by the scene, exclaimed, “We’re about to be surrounded.”
Silver Fox shouted angrily, “I can see that.”
A few people came running, telling Silver Fox to go back and save Pan Jianglong.
Silver Fox glanced around and felt scared—properly scared. The situation was now out of control.
His assistant yelled, “If we don’t go back to save the boss, they probably won’t be able to escape.”
But Silver Fox noticed that Pan Jianglong’s side was drawing a large crowd. If he hesitated, they would all end up wrapped like dumplings.
The assistant added, “They’re starting to retreat; if we don’t leave now, we won’t have a chance to escape.”
Who could still care for whom at this point? For the first time, Silver Fox felt such a cold calmness. If he didn’t leave now, he would die here and become someone else’s dumpling filling. He ordered, “Hurry, let’s go. We can avenge the boss later.”
Someone came back to tell Yin Qi that Silver Fox had run away; Yin Qi was dumbfounded and couldn’t believe this was true.
An assistant by Yin Qi’s side said, “Boss, we’ve got to go too, or else we’ll die here.”
They had barely managed to hold on, but when Silver Fox fled, the situation changed drastically. They became short-staffed, and their morale suffered a huge blow, resulting in increased chaos.
Yin Qi was reluctant to leave.
But the assistant was right; the tide of battle had turned for the worse, and their first priority had to be survival.
Ye Chen completely entangled Pan Jianglong in battle, summoning all the hidden energy. Waves of energy slammed toward Pan Jianglong, booming loudly…
Pan Jianglong realized that he was the victim of a major conspiracy and shouted, “You dare to scheme against us!”
“Heh, you’ve done plenty of wicked deeds yourself. If you hadn’t released so many monsters and forced us into desperation, we wouldn’t have done this. You’ve brought this suffering upon yourself; don’t blame us,” Ye Chen retorted.
With a move full of righteous power, Ye Chen struck and blasted Pan Jianglong out of the sky. How could Pan Jianglong possibly defend himself?
Upon hearing from his men that Yin Qi and Silver Fox had run away, Pan Jianglong felt as if he had exploded, completely unsure of what to do.
Unable to focus, Pan Jianglong found Ye Chen’s attacks growing more and more ferocious.
As Pan Jianglong tried to fend off Ye Chen’s deadly moves, a swift energy, fast as lightning, struck from behind him. A sword pierced through his chest, the attacker being none other than Shangguan Wudi.
Pan Jianglong fell to the ground, unable to rise again.
Ye Chen jumped in surprise, not expecting the old man to be even more ruthless than him.
With Pan Jianglong killed by Shangguan Wudi, his subordinates’ resolve wavered. Some immediately surrendered, while others hastily fled for their lives.
Ouyang Yue flew over and, seeing the lifeless body of Pan Jianglong, asked, “Did you kill him?”
“I don’t have such a merciless hand,” Ye Chen replied.
Ouyang Yue commented, “It’s a pity that the damned Silver Fox managed to escape with some others.”
Ye Chen responded, “Then why aren’t you chasing after him? You wouldn’t want your future husband to get away, would you?”
Ouyang Yue glared at Ye Chen.
Ye Chen chuckled and said, “That’s enough banter. Don’t let yourself get caught again; I won’t come to your rescue next time.”
The situation was quickly brought under control.
Nangong Yan arrived, her presence fierce as she said, “It’s a shame. They have ships on the coastline. If not for that, they would have all ended up like dumplings, and none would have been able to escape.”
Ouyang Yue inquired, “Did Yin Qi also flee?”
“Indeed, they had two large ships by the cliffside that we didn’t know about. Once they boarded those ships, we couldn’t give chase anymore. It’s a pity our ships aren’t on this side, otherwise they wouldn’t have had any chance of escaping,” Nangong Yan explained.
Feeling a pang of regret, Ye Chen said, “Ah well, I’ve fulfilled my task, and the rest is up to you,” looking at the blood-soaked ground with a lack of appetite and quickly walking away.
