Chapter 1031 - 1031 1017 Summoning the Blood God

Chapter 1031: Chapter 1017: Summoning the Blood God Chapter 1031: Chapter 1017: Summoning the Blood God Ye Chen, bored, wandered the streets when he suddenly missed Yun’er intensely and realized that several more days had passed on the island. Why did he miss her so much? Was he worried?

If he weren’t worried, would this yearning be so strong? Was it guilt, or had he unwittingly fallen deeply for her? The longing always seemed to surge suddenly in the moments when he felt most empty, lonely, and cold.

He hoped she was safe and well.

Li Mo hurried from behind and said, “I’ve already infiltrated them.”

“Good, don’t let them discover you. They will come, surely boarding this ship again.” The Water Dragon was right there on the Sauntering Ship; where else could they flee to?

Before he knew it, it was noon.

A familiar figure passed by the corner ahead, followed by a large group of people. Li Mo murmured, “Isn’t that the girl we met on the Cangqiong Ship?”

“Yes, that’s the girl.” Next to the girl was a middle-aged man with white hair and piercing eyes, extremely alert, as if he had urgent business to attend to, moving with haste. The girl clung to the middle-aged man, and if his guess was right, that must be her father.

Li Mo was stunned and said, “That girl, Qi Xue, we looked for her for days on the Parrot Ship and couldn’t find her. She’s still alive, what luck.” He did not yet know that she was the other person who had ended up adrift with Ye Chen on the deserted island.

The girl did not see Ye Chen.

“She’s the one who was stranded with me on the desert island,” Ye Chen said.

“What, no way, the two of you drifted to a desert island?” Li Mo looked over with a doubtful expression, as if a wife suspecting her husband.

“What’s wrong, is that a problem?” Ye Chen asked.

“Just the two of you?”

“Yes, and a lot of interesting things happened to boot,” Ye Chen added, amused by Li Mo’s growing nervousness.

“No wonder Yang Tao’er said you have an excess of romantic luck.”

“The heavens take special care of me, is that so wrong?” Ye Chen replied coldly.

“Then why not go over and say hello? You might incidentally make a good impression on her father,” Li Mo suggested.

“Let’s not… They seem to have urgent matters,” he said, noting their hurried pace. But just as they were about to turn away, Ye Chen suddenly noticed some shadows on the second floor. Those few were staring at them, making hand signals to one another as if they were signaling someone.

Ye Chen immediately stopped in his tracks.

Li Mo asked, “What’s the matter?”

“Look, what are those few people up to?”

Suddenly, several loud noises broke the tranquility of the street. Monsters leaped out from both sides like frantic buffaloes, charging into the crowd and causing immediate chaos. Men on the second floor were shooting darts.

“Not good, it seems like they’ve been attacked,” Li Mo said.

Ye Chen grew tense and exclaimed, “Let’s hurry and check it out,” and he led Li Mo toward the commotion.

Several crazed monsters charged out, causing chaos in the street. Seeing some innocents potentially getting trampled, Nangong Yan urgently said, “Father, won’t you move quickly and help them?”

Nangong Yao, believing it to be an accident, rushed forward with a dozen men to subdue the monsters that had emerged. He never expected Qiandu Xiang’s men would dare to strike during the daytime. It was only when he saw several men in black throwing poisoned darts from the building that he realized this was all premeditated.

He glanced back quickly and shouted, “Protect Yan’er well!”

He tried to rush back, but it was too late. Two large monsters blocked his way, spewing fire. Dodging, he avoided tongues of flame that burned the booth behind him, followed by billowing black smoke.

Ye Chen saw three groups of men in black rushing out from the alleys on both sides, clashing instantly with the disciples of the Immortal Medicine Sect. Following them, he witnessed a spectacle. The middle-aged man had already run ahead, blocked by several monsters.

A few men in black entangled the girl.

“They seem intent on capturing that girl,” Li Mo noted.

Before he had finished speaking, the girl was subdued by a masked individual.

Several people stuffed her into a sack and started to flee down an alley. More than a dozen tried to rescue the person in the sack but were held back.

Ye Chen urgently called out, “Quick!” and led Li Mo in pursuit of the men carrying the sack.

After an unknown distance, they arrived in a wooded area. Ye Chen struck with his palm, boom…

Beams of energy shot forward, catching the attackers by surprise as they hadn’t expected anyone from the Immortal Medicine Sect to follow them so quickly.

“You really dare to abduct women in broad daylight,” proclaimed the leader of the attackers as he turned to face them, picking up a sword from the ground and charging like a monster, while another shouted, “Mind your own business!”

Ye Chen yelled, “Had I not encountered this, it would not be my affair, but since I have, I cannot ignore it.”

“Kid, you’ve lived too long.” shouted the leader of the group, brandishing his knife and slicing down.

Ye Chen dodged to the left, delivered a Dragon Tail Swing, and his back foot kicked into the man’s chest; with a howl, the fellow crashed into the bushes.

The guys behind him were startled and didn’t dare to go up alone. They only heard someone say, “Surround him.”

But before they could form an encirclement, Ye Chen pushed out with both palms, releasing two Green Dragons, and with the sound of Dragon Roar, all were sent flying.

The person inside the sack was still struggling. Ye Chen opened the sack, and the girl inside was terrified, thinking someone was going to violate her, but upon seeing clearly, she realized it was him and quickly cried out, “Save me.”

Ye Chen untied the ropes.

But just then, several people stealthily flew in from behind, their martial arts clearly not weak.

The person standing at the front looked left and right, his followers were already in disarray; he smiled coldly, “Kid, who are you?”

“Is it that important?” Ye Chen saw that he dressed just like those men in black.

After Gu Feng had Baili He break off the pursuit, they managed to shake off Nangong Yao and his men.

“Heh, trying to play the hero and save the damsel, are you? I’m afraid it might cost you your life.” Gu Feng drew his blood-red sword.

“You must be people of Qiandu Xiang.”

Nangong Yan, who had gotten up from the ground, said, “Apart from Weak Water Three Thousand, who else could do something like this.”

Gu Feng glanced back and ordered, “Capture that girl for me.”

The petty thieves moved to pounce on her. Ye Chen unleashed two moves and said to Li Mo, “Hey, don’t stay here any longer, hurry and take the girl and get out.”

Worried that more men in black would come, it would be tougher to deal with.

Ye Chen then said, “I’ll come find you later.”

Li Mo nodded slightly.

Like a man possessed, Gu Feng raised his red sword; a fiery Green Dragon burst out, charging straight at Ye Chen, as if Ye Chen had stolen his bride and he was ready to fight to the death. Ye Chen executed a Swift Movement Technique to block the black-faced man’s lethal blow, then followed with a Sword Breaker move, confronting the opponent’s killing move.

Ye Chen felled those few followers, and Gu Feng, fearing that the girl would be taken away by another person, tried to circle around and finish Li Mo off with a single sword strike. Ye Chen would absolutely not let such a thing happen. With a palm strike, he blocked his path. Then, a thunderous lightning strike forced the opponent to retreat, and with a Swift Movement Technique, Ye Chen blocked his way.

“Quick, get out of here, don’t be foolish.”

Gu Feng was astonished, he hadn’t expected this scrawny kid to possess some skills; afraid that the prey he had caught might fly away, he unleashed a move, Bloodless Strike. Dozens of energy beams, like an army on the march, and Ye Chen unleashed a Great Slaughter in response, taking out a Blade-Testing Gesture.

But the powerful energy was like a monster, opening a lion-like maw, ready to devour him.

Ye Chen paused for a moment.

The sword light flickered like a volley of thousands of arrows, ready to reduce him to ashes.

Truly unexpected, to encounter successive opponents in the South Sea, he was increasingly doubting whether he had regressed, this person probably wasn’t Qiandu Xiang, yet so formidable. If he met Qiandu Xiang in the future, it would be even more precarious.

He could not afford to be careless and steadied himself.

A violent wind assaulted, ready to engulf him.

Ye Chen launched a Gathering of Ten Thousand Spirits, followed by a downpour-like release, breaking through the light circle, ready to devour the thousands of sword lights unleashed by the opponent, but before he could fully consume the energy.

Gu Feng executed a move, Blood God Summoning, and with a boom, hundreds of red lightning bolts descended from the sky, blasting Ye Chen away, throwing him seven or eight zhang distance.

“Kid, you wanted to play the hero today and got the wrong target.”

Ye Chen dusted off his still-smoking clothes, his face a bit soot-covered; he hadn’t been ready for that move, so he hadn’t anticipated it, allowing the strike to send him flying.

Gu Feng, appearing triumphant, tried the same move again.

Black Demonic Spirit said, “Kid, you should focus instead of worrying about having someone offer themselves in gratitude later.”

“How do you know what I’m thinking?”

The girl had long since disappeared with Li Mo.

“Thanks for the heads-up. It won’t happen a second time,” Ye Chen shaped a lightning bolt in his hand, releasing it and wedging it against the hundred bolts of lightning coming at him before they could land.

Simultaneously, his palm transformed into a massive wave of energy, charging towards Gu Feng. Gu Feng, shocked, quickly dodged. Seizing the opportunity, Ye Chen ramped up his energy release, immediately consuming the hundred red lightning bolts.

Gu Feng leapt into the air, transforming into a Fire Dragon, swirling into a hurricane poised to ravage wildly.

Ye Chen stared him down without dodging; with a palm thrust, two blue energies merged into one, and a majestic eagle with outstretched wings charged towards the Fire Dragon with a boom. Unsurprisingly, it struck the Fire Dragon, which continued to advance, albeit with much diminished might.
