Up to now, Qing Hu and others still did not know that the attack on the Heavenly Gang War General and the intrusion into the Original Forest, taking ten exceptional students challenging the Heavenly Gang Barrier as hostages, were orchestrated by Seven Wolves, a Demon Mercenary group infamous worldwide among both the underworld and law enforcement.
This most powerful assassin organization in the world, though comprising only seven individuals unlike other mercenary groups, which could be few as several hundred or as many as tens of thousands, had swept through all mercenary organizations. None dared to underestimate these seven, who had intimidated many nations. Their business was not minor terror attacks but often assassinations of top leaders, causing many countries severe headaches, reluctant to provoke them.
And the true identities of these Seven Wolves were rarely seen. Almost all who had seen them were dead, and those who survived were barely alive. Of course, national powers were still formidable, yet no country had managed to gather comprehensive information on the Seven Wolves, not even their names, which had become a terrifying motif countries would only whisper, thus becoming a collective term. Over time, these seven who adopted titles containing "Wolf" had moved beyond their original names.
Once, a formidable intelligence firm belonging to the M government almost had all the information on various world powers, with agents spread globally. However, this information firm was annihilated overnight, their building reduced to ashes, thousands killed— all the doing of the Seven Wolves, simply because the firm had some data on them, leading to this tragedy. Despite the M government immediately sealing the news, it was furious, instantly blocking all major domestic exits and deploying vast numbers of special forces troops to exterminate the Seven Wolves, since such a direct assault from an organization under its jurisdiction caused thousands of deaths—an immensely significant event.
Unfortunately, even the M government’s use of military jets couldn’t stop the Seven Wolves, and the matter remained unresolved, eventually fading away. It might puzzle many why, despite such emnity with the M government, M, along with countries Y and D, would still hire the Seven Wolves. The answer is simple, there are no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent interests.
The M government indeed pursued the Seven Wolves, but their monstrous strength made it impossible to eliminate them. Facing such a challenge, it seemed wiser to employ them instead, making the Seven Wolves work for them. Over the years, the Heavenly Gang War Generals of China had become increasingly powerful, dealing heavy losses to various countries in both overt and covert confrontations, especially to M, Y, and D, which led these three countries to jointly hire the Seven Wolves to assassinate Heavenly Gang level Generals, seeking revenge and weakening China’s strength.
Nobody would have expected that the leader of the Seven Wolves, Demon Wolf, was actually Asian. He did not bear the typical Western appearance; unless he spoke in English, many would assume he was Asian, or even Chinese, as his features were those of an ordinary Chinese and he had somewhat of a "pretty boy" look. Unlike what many would assume, he didn’t resemble a mafia boss; instead, Demon Wolf appeared quite scholarly. His vicious aura wasn’t severe, unlike the other six, who radiated strong auras of killing intent, so intense that ordinary people couldn’t withstand facing them, hinting at their terrifying nature.
"I will only kill Man Tian, the rest of you can kill whoever you like. We’ll return to base in three days; I hope you all are still alive by then!" Demon Wolf, the man with glasses, said indifferently.
The other six glanced at Demon Wolf but said nothing. Although they acknowledged Demon Wolf as their leader, it didn’t mean they all followed his orders explicitly—they simply shared a unified plan. For them, the chance to kill another "wolf" was something they would never pass up, showcasing the competitive nature within their organization.
"Hmph, I will be the one who kills the most Heavenly Gang War Generals, and whoever dares to challenge me, I’ll kill them too!" Blood Wolf declared fiercely.
"You think you’re the strongest among us? How about we fight, pull out your heart, and see if it beats as strongly as mine?" Fierce Wolf coldly eyed Blood Wolf and challenged.
"You guys enjoy your game. I already sense several powerful forces heading this way, definitely more Heavenly Gang War Generals coming to die. I’ll go kill them first and return to kill you later!" Sky Wolf said, and in an instant, he had sprinted hundreds of meters away, moving incredibly fast.
Having heard Sky Wolf’s words, and seeing Sky Wolf rush out first, the other Blood Wolves and Fierce Wolves exchanged quick glances before charging out as well. They treated the Heavenly Gang War General as mere prey, competing to see who could kill more, not paying any heed to him as a threat. Indeed, they possessed such monstrous strength, which was why they had become the strongest yet smallest in number among mercenary groups worldwide.
In the secluded canyon, only Demon Wolf remained, still seated in his chair. He made no move himself, while beside him were ten excellent trainees who had come to challenge the Heavenly Gang Barrier. These trainees were all top-tier members of their forces, with considerable strength; otherwise, they would not have ventured to challenge the Heavenly Gang War General. Many had come with a inflated sense of confidence, feeling they had acquired some strength. Yet, when faced with the Seven Wolves of the Demon Mercenaries, their helplessness and the sense of being at someone’s mercy delivered a severe blow to their morale. Many wished for death, but witnessing the gruesome demise of eight Heavenly Gang War Generals and their hearts being carved out instilled fear in them, for the deaths were indeed too horrific.
"Man Tian, I hope you arrive quickly. Otherwise, your Heavenly Gang War Generals might all be wiped out!" Demon Wolf muttered to himself.
At this very moment, at the main base of the Heavenly Gang War Generals, another person was making his way towards the Original Forest. This person was Ye Tianchen. At this time, Ye Tianchen was no longer composed; his body radiated a powerful aura as he cautiously moved forward. His jacket, completely torn, had been discarded, leaving him in a black tank top as he vigilantly continued on his path.
Ye Tianchen’s build was not exceedingly muscular or robust, but neither was it frail; the strength emanating from his flesh was distinctly perceivable. He had consecutively battled nine Heavenly Gang War Generals, defeating nine of the Ten Great Guardians. Now, only Fei Bao was left to fight. Defeating Fei Bao would allow him access to the Original Forest, a directive given by Qing Hu to the Heavenly Gang War General team. Little did Qing Hu expect, Ye Tianchen was genuinely on the verge of defeating all Ten Great Guardians, and Qing Hu had thought Fei Bao could surely stop Ye Tianchen. Could he, though?
Having defeated the nine guardians, Ye Tianchen, though unharmed, gained a new appreciation for the strength of the Heavenly Gang Level Generals. Perhaps initially, Ye Tianchen’s journey to the Original Forest was out of sheer curiosity, but after battling through nine Heavenly Gang War General guardians, his War Blood was stirred. He was eager for a fight with this tenth guardian, Fei Bao. Each subsequent Heavenly Gang War General felt significantly more powerful than the last, and Ye Tianchen found the ninth general challenging to defeat. Could he now overcome Fei Bao?
Fond of challenges and growing more valiant with each battle, the fighting desire within Ye Tianchen was ignited. He truly wanted to see what was happening in the Original Forest, attracted more by challenges he thought he could tackle – this was Ye Tianchen’s relentless nature.
As Ye Tianchen was about to leave the area with Mongolian tents and spotted the edge of the Original Forest a kilometer away, he saw a man. This man did not strike immediately or attempt to assassinate him upon appearing, unlike the other Heavenly Gang War General guards, but instead looked at Ye Tianchen serenely.
"Ye Tianchen, you are very strong," the man said calmly.
"Since you know my name, then tell me yours," Ye Tianchen asked with a smile.
"Fei Bao, captain of the Ten Great Guardians!"
Fei Bao, nearly equal in strength to Qing Hu and mainly known for his viciousness, was always ready to kill, which led to his position as captain of the Ten Great Guardians. Man Tian had forbidden him from undertaking missions, but now, seeing Ye Tianchen, Fei Bao remained unusually calm, not immediately attacking, which was against his usual behavior. However, Ye Tianchen intensely focused on Fei Bao, instinctively sensing that this man’s strength was terrifying and that he must be cautious in his approach. (To be continued.
