Chapter 1725: Chapter 1723: Powerful Raptors

While Peter Brown was pondering whether to go back and fetch the Flying Car, suddenly, he saw the distant Azure Sky nearly turn dark, a gigantic flying beast heading in his direction.

It was enormous!

At a single glance, Peter was astonished. This was an incredibly huge flying beast, much larger than any elephant he had seen. As it flew in the sky, it obscured the light below. With each flap of its wings, the trees below rustled loudly from the force.

Suddenly, the shrill cry of the flying beast rang out, followed by a fireball spewing downward.

Subsequently, he saw that the forest below was hit by the fireball, leaving a large crater.

What puzzled Peter was that the emitted fireball was clearly a flame, yet the forest did not catch fire, and the flames extinguished quickly.

Looking down again, he saw a massive stone shattered by the impact.

After a dive, the claws of the flying beast had captured a large wild beast, and following another piercing shriek, the flying beast headed off into the distance.

After a while, Peter carefully approached the bombarded area.

Glancing around, Peter was stunned by the attack power of the flying beast. It was an incredibly ferocious creature.

Peter had initially thought of using the flying car, but seeing this situation, he hesitated. Although the flying car was fast, if it encountered such a flying beast, he probably wouldn’t find a place to escape.

No wonder he knew from the consciousness of two people that the villagers had never left this place in their lifetime, nor would they know about outside matters, given the perilous journey.

However, if he really had to walk using his own legs, Peter really didn’t know how long it would take to get out of this forest.

From the consciousness of the two, Peter also discovered another situation: the people here survived solely on the robustness of their bodies, they didn’t engage in any cultivation, and could be considered somewhat primitive.

Strange!

Up until now, Peter’s understanding of this world was only one thing: everything here was so intriguing.

After thinking for a while, Peter decided to bring in the Flying Car after all. Relying on his own legs wouldn’t know how long it would take to get out. At most, he would just need to enhance the defenses, so he could escape in a critical moment.

By the way, he wondered whether it was possible to cultivate here.

When Peter thought of this, he found a cave and walked into it.

After checking that there was nothing amiss with the cave, Peter sat down cross-legged.

Two hours later, Peter furrowed his brows and opened his eyes, unable to believe that he found no way to cultivate here.

All the cultivation arts he knew previously were completely useless here.

Yet, looking around the sky and feeling the Immortal Spirit energy, Peter was certain that this should be a place suitable for cultivation.

Strange!

Since his arrival here, Peter found everything about this place baffling and was completely unsure of what kind of place this was.

The people appeared very strong, the wild beasts also possessed potent attack power, there were powerful flying beasts in the sky, and the Immortal Spirit essence was rich, yet why couldn’t he cultivate?

Suddenly, Peter thought of something. Hadn’t he seen magic content in fantasy novels back in his younger days? Perhaps the place he was in required magic?

No, that couldn’t be right. He had embarked on the path of the Holy Sanctuary, yet how had magic intertwined itself in the process?

However, the more Peter Brown surveyed his surroundings, the more he felt that the Immortal Spirit he perceived might not be the same kind of Immortal Spirit he was familiar with but rather a type of magical energy.

If that were the case, it all made sense. His cultivation techniques were solely about genuine cultivation, at most involving immortal techniques. But once he arrived here, everything had radically transformed. It wasn’t about cultivating anymore, but rather about utilizing energy.

Unable to figure it out at the moment, Peter Brown didn’t want to rack his brains any longer. Knowing he couldn’t practice cultivation, he could only place his hopes on his martial arts now, the secular martial arts of the mundane world, which still gave him some fighting capability.

The next day, when Peter Brown appeared again, he had brought a Flying Car with him.

Upon its arrival, Peter Brown did not rush to board the Flying Car. He wanted to see if any fierce Flying Beasts would emerge after he tested its flight.

Controlling the Flying Car remotely, Peter Brown hid himself in a well-camouflaged spot as the Flying Car took off and flew forward.

Even as the Flying Car flew far away, Peter Brown could still see its condition through a screen, his eyes locked on it.

Soon, it had gone more than ten kilometers without encountering any fierce Flying Beasts.

Peter Brown then directed the Flying Car to head in another direction.

Just then, Peter Brown noticed that suddenly, the Azure Sky was filled with numerous Flying Beasts, emitting shrill cries and rapidly heading towards the Flying Car.

A glance revealed hundreds of elephant-sized Flying Beasts surrounding the Flying Car in the center, followed by various shrill calls.

Stream of Fireballs aimed at the Flying Car.

Soon, the Flying Car was shot down to the ground.

Not only did it shoot down the Flying Car, but Peter Brown also observed that once these Flying Beasts reached the ground, they launched another series of Fireball attacks on the Flying Car.

It didn’t take much time for the Flying Car to be reduced to a pile of remains.

The Flying Beasts cried out in the sky for a while before they scattered and left.

Such an awesome attacking power!

Peter Brown could tell that, even if he had enhanced the defense of the Flying Car, it would still have been bombed into wreckage by the Flying Beasts.

Dangerous!

Peter Brown had come to understand everything about this place; there were no weak creatures here.

If he recklessly used the Flying Car, Peter Brown didn’t know if he could survive to make it out.

However, Peter’s eyes soon brightened. If there were early warning aircraft ahead and he received alerts about the Flying Beasts when they appeared, using the Flying Car might still be feasible.

Perhaps he needed to bring some more high-technology devices here after all.

Peter Brown dared not take risks, for everything here was terrifying. Without full preparation, he would not venture out.

With a wry smile, Peter Brown truly hadn’t expected that upon entering the Land of the Sanctuary, he would come to such a place. He wondered if this was indeed a test for him?
