Chapter 1338: Chapter 1338: Acquiring a Plot of Land_1

"Master, go and check out the land. If everything looks good, sign a contract." Mr. Watson, the county director, came with his brother Steven Smith the very next day and immediately spoke to Peter Brown about the land matter upon seeing him.

"So soon?" Peter was somewhat surprised.

"When a senior leader personally inquires about something, I’m just running errands," Mark Smith said meaningfully.

Peter no longer spoke. He could guess the situation—directives from higher-ups, and the county director was acting on their behalf, probably with his brother being the financier.

No matter how they maneuvered, in the end, he was the one getting the land.

By now, Peter wasn’t feeling any unease. He was well aware of everyone’s intentions.

"Alright, let’s go take a look."

They drove two SUVs, with Steven Smith’s subordinates following in the vehicle behind them, rushing in the direction of the city’s outskirts.

The place wasn’t exactly far, but because the roads were so poor, it seemed very backward.

"Master, don’t worry about the roads. As soon as you take over that plot of land, we’ll start construction immediately," Mark Smith reassured Peter as he glanced his way.

Peter didn’t really care about the roads; his purpose for finding a place was to be away from the city where he could practice cultivation.

If it was a straight line, it would probably be about a ten-minute drive. But now, with two big mountains in the way, it took three hours to reach the destination.

After such a long drive on mountain roads, mostly dirt tracks, one could imagine how few cars made it out to this location.

However, when they entered the village, Peter’s eyes lit up. At first glance, he saw green mountains and clear waters, and a small river running through the village—this was a place he loved, with lush trees growing well on the mountains.

Seeing the growth here, Peter felt this place must have an abundance of Immortal power.

"Stop here."

After the car stopped, Peter got out and looked around, and sure enough, he saw strands of Immortal power occasionally floating in the Azure Sky.

"Good!"

Peter was already satisfied with the place.

"This is the spot personally chosen by the senior leader," Peter thought to himself. That elder clearly understood the domestic situation well; for cultivators, this was truly a treasure land.

"Which areas are you planning to lease?" Peter asked.

"Master, we can build a large villa complex on this land. You can lease the Land of Ten Thousand Acres next to the village," Steven Smith said, although not too clear on the specifics. But he understood that he was there to provide the money, and fortunately, the land wasn’t expensive. The total cost of the lease was manageable.

"Hmm, okay, but you’ll have to front the costs. I’ll pay you back after a year when I have a harvest," Peter said.

Steven Smith quickly replied, "It’s not too much money. I will take care of all the expenses."

Waving his hand, Peter said, "Then it’s settled."

As they talked, they continued walking into the village.

Upon entering the village, Peter saw several village cadres who were already waiting there.

After Mr. Watson shook hands with them, everyone entered the village community council.

It was there that Peter learned that the group included county and town leaders, who had all come for the lease negotiation.

"Do you like what you see?" The county officials showed an eager demeanor, knowing this could be a chance for the village to develop.

Mark Smith glanced at Peter and said, "Yes, we want to lease the Land of Ten Thousand Acres for fifty years. Let’s talk about the price."

Peter now had nothing to do but sit and listen to them discuss matters.

Ten yuan per acre, one hundred thousand yuan per year for ten thousand acres—a fifty-year lease with the fee paid annually. The terms were extremely favorable. After Peter signed his name, Steven Smith transferred five million to the county right away, and with that, the land was now Peter’s.

After finalizing the lease, Mark Smith seriously said, "There must be no issues with the lease of the land. Clearly mark the boundaries quickly; we’ll need to build an Enclosure Wall."

The county officials, clearly delighted, smiled and assured, "Don’t worry, we are dealing with it. The villagers will also benefit and won’t be affected by the development."

"Master, do you have any requirements for the construction?" Steven Smith asked Peter, standing beside him looking at the leased land as they left the village.

"You’re in real estate, right?" Peter inquired.

"Yes, it’s one of my businesses."

"Well then, I leave the matter to you. Plan for me. Apart from several areas that will be developed into villas, I’ll turn the rest into plots for agriculture and farming..." Peter began sharing his vision for the place.

Steven Smith looked puzzled at Peter, uncertain about what he intended to do. Starting a farming and breeding business so far from civilization, he wondered what Peter’s endgame was.

"Alright, I’ll talk about the rest later." Having someone to work for free, Peter didn’t mind adding more to his plate. And if it all turned out well, he would provide some benefits.

After settling the land affair, everyone returned to the city.

Peter visited the small factory again.

Seeing Peter arrive, the factory director greeted him with a smile, "Boss, what are you planning now?"

"Just some more parts, but this time there will be quite a few. I hope you can use stainless materials in the production; they need to last decades without corroding, even buried underground."

"We’ll take care of it; it can be done," the factory director assured.

Peter handed over the blueprints and wired one hundred million, "I’ve roughly calculated the costs; they should come to 300,000,000. This is 100 million. I don’t have the full amount yet; I’m still gathering funds."

"Actually, as the Divine Doctor, making money shouldn’t be difficult for you. Don’t worry; you can pay the fees later," the factory director said, having understood Peter’s situation, and assured him with a smile.

Observing the factory director, Peter nodded slightly, "That’s good."

"Rest assured, I’ll keep the blueprints confidential. No one else will know, and they’ll be destroyed after production," the factory director stated, keenly reassuring Peter.

Peter wasn’t concerned about secrecy; not just anyone could master these formation parts. There were many intricacies involved, and without understanding them, even if someone assembled them correctly, they wouldn’t function.

And there’s still healing to do! Peter realized he really didn’t have enough money.
