Chapter 1032: 132 Chapter Germination Art_1
There was no longer a path ahead, only a layer of light screen that stood there, and Peter Brown could see some characters displayed above.
The moment his gaze fell upon those characters, Peter felt a vast amount of information regarding the interpretation of these characters flowing into his mind.
After standing there for nearly a day, those characters had faded away.
When Peter looked towards the light screen, his face was tinged with confusion.
A whole new set of characters had entered Peter’s mind, characters he was unfamiliar with. From the information conveyed, he knew these were immortal scripts.
How strange, why would there be immortal scripts inside this grand tomb?
Realizing that this tomb was many times larger than Earth, Peter was truly astounded by the power of the immortals, what immense force it must have taken to create this tomb.
He wondered whether the people from the Silver Light Sect had received the content of these characters as well.
Peter discovered that these were not ordinary characters; just entering his mind, they carried immortal power. If not for the strong immortal power within his brain domain and the protection from his Dao affinity, these characters could have exploded his head simply by entering it.
Could people at the Mahayana stage learn these characters?
Thinking this, Peter shook his head, doubting that even Mahayana stage cultivators could absorb so many characters—they would probably recognize only a few dozen before they could take in no more.
This was a screen of light on a completely different level!
The inscriptions provided some explanation of the situation here, stating that this tomb was not actually a tomb but a trial field of the Immortal Realm. The field was set with layers of assessment content that met certain standards, and rewards would be given for meeting them. Beyond the light screen lay the most basic setups of the Immortal Realm, which common immortals could enter. However, to reach the core areas of the immortal tomb, one would need to be an immortal who had cultivated further, and the warnings advised those entering to gauge their abilities accordingly.
After receiving this information, Peter looked at the light screen with astonishment, not expecting this place to be a trial field.
The thought of an immortal’s trial field made Peter even more puzzled; how did it end up here?
Sitting there, Peter pondered deeply, the more he thought, the more he felt certain there must be some unknown secrets here. The constant eruption of matter from Thunder Star, was it deliberate rather than accidental, and if so, why would the Immortal Realm do such a thing?
After thinking for a while and realizing he didn’t have enough information, Peter acknowledged he couldn’t guess what was going on.
After contemplating for a bit longer, he began to wonder if he could enter.
Since there were rewards, there was no reason for him not to enter, right?
With so much immortal power in his body, Peter believed he could enter it completely and even pass several levels of the examination.
After circulating his immortal power to protect his body, Peter walked towards the light screen.
As he approached, sure enough, he found the light screen wasn’t a place just anyone could enter; only those with immortal power were permitted, and it required at least a trace of immortal power to do so.
When he stepped towards the light screen, Peter passed right through it.
Quickly, Peter found himself in a vast wasteland, with a field in front, and the immortal power here was incredibly dense.
To Peter’s surprise, there were already about fifty people inside.
These fifty or so people seemed like Mahayana masters with abundant immortal power, and at that moment, they were looking forlornly at the field before them.
Upon closer examination, Peter made another discovery. Although each of them had their own field, they were separated from one another by some sort of barrier.
Among the fifty or so people, Peter saw about thirty were dressed in the attire of the Silver Light Sect’s masters, and another dozen wore different clothes.
The moment Peter entered, he found himself enclosed by a peculiar setup, with an area of about ten square meters in front of him.
Startled, Peter threw a punch to the side, and to his surprise, even using immortal power only caused the area to dent slightly before it resumed its previous shape.
"It’s useless, the setup here is very strange, probably an immortal’s handiwork; even if you use great power, you can’t break through. You can only leave once you’ve completed the task," an old man said with a wry smile as he looked at Peter.
Peter cupped his hands in salute to the old man, "I am Peter Brown, may I know how senior is called?"
"I am Thomas Bridge. You look to be at the Nascent Soul Stage; how did you manage to enter here?" Thomas Bridge asked with a puzzled look at Peter.
"You are Peter Brown!"
At that moment, a Mahayana master from the Silver Light Sect glared at Peter.
Peter knew the man must be aware of his actions against members of the Silver Light Sect, but he was unfazed, speaking in an even tone, "Yes, I am Peter Brown. I just killed another batch of Mahayana masters from the Silver Light Sect. So what? If you want to fight, then come fight!"
Just then a middle-aged man in gray clothes burst into laughter, "Peter, well done! What’s so great about the Silver Light Sect? Killed is killed, don’t mind their loud voices here, they’ll be stuck just the same if they can’t complete the task."
"Pleased to meet you, senior. May I know your name?"
Not giving the Silver Light Sect members any attention, Peter smiled and turned to the middle-aged man with the question.
"I am Vincent White. Did you really kill many of the Silver Light Sect members?"
"Indeed, and not only that, but I’ve scared away those from the Silver Light Sect who were outside too," replied Peter.
Laughing even louder, Vincent White exclaimed, "Splendid!"
The people from the Silver Light Sect could only glare at Peter without any means to retaliate.
Ignoring the Silver Light Sect members, Peter chatted with a few non-Silverlight Sect individuals and then sat down cross-legged.
Upon entering, he saw a stone platform in front of him with characters inscribed on it, and a few seeds were placed on top.
After looking at the characters on the stone platform for a while, Peter understood why everyone was worried—the platform had inscriptions for a technique called the Germination Art. This cultivation technique needed to be cultivated and then used to stimulate the seeds. Only when the seeds sprouted would this level be considered complete.
So it turns out I have to be a farmer and work the land, huh!
Peter laughed at the thought, having not expected the first challenge to be such a task.
