Chapter 519: Do Not Read
Chapter 179
Wave after wave struck the entire Bellator continent. The school was in a state of emergency but for some reason, the professors weren’t able to traverse to the mountain behind the school.
"What is happening?" A professor asked.
Desmond, who stood at the forefront, didn’t reply. He had a hunch as to what was going on but, it was an illogical hunch. There was no way a student was capable of emitting this much power. Even if he had made a deal with a powerful demon from hell, it would still be impossible to emit this much power.
Not to mention the power emitted from the mountain didn’t feel evil at all. It was calm but destructive, soothing but piercing. Like the power of a guardian being. Even the divine power of the apostles didn’t come close to this power.
"For now issue a state of emergency. Make sure no one gets near here and they get as far away as possible. Contact the Cortum Empire through the Lux Villa. Request them to activate all their portals so that we can evacuate citizens." Desmond barked orders to the professors.
"And what about the students?" Sylvester, another head professor asked. Students of the Bellator were far more important than some citizens of the city and almost everyone there agreed with him.
"The students will be helping in evacuation," Desmond said.
"Are you crazy? We don’t have time for this. We have to evacuate the students first." Otto, another head professor intervened.
Desmond sighed and disappeared from his spot. He appeared in front of Otto and punched him in the stomach. The mana and power of Desmond was strong enough to knock Otto a few feet away, knocked out cold, no doubt in tremendous pain and he would still be once he woke up.
"What are you doing?!" Sylvester exclaimed but Desmond once again sped at him and knocked him out cold as well along with a broken arm.
"Does anyone else have objections?" Desmond asked, his fist raised with a straight expression. No one spoke up but another powerful wave of power from behind woke them up from their stupor. They all nodded at each other and left to carry out Desmond’s orders.
As for Desmond, he was about to the academy and issue an order city-wide when he felt someone’s familiar presence rushing in. Sirius appeared in front of him and looked around. He glanced at the knocked-out professors but he couldn’t care less.
"Report." He simply said to which Michelle stepped forward and spoke, "Headmaster. This phenomenon suddenly began ten minutes ago. We don’t know if this is dangerous or not but we cannot seem to get in. A powerful mana is blocking us. So for now, Desmond has issued a city-wide evacuation to the Bellator."
Sirius stepped forward and felt the mana that was blocking everyone from going in. He had felt this mana before, just two days ago, when a certain white-haired and white-eyed boy came out of a dungeon with a wyvern. This mana matched the same mana as that of the Wyvern.
Sirius managed to connect the dots in seconds and remembered what Rafael had said to him in their earlier conversation, ’I doubt it. As long as his limits aren’t crossed, he wouldn’t do anything. That’s the impression I have gotten of him so far.’
"What happened earlier today?" Sirius hurriedly turned around and asked.
Michelle was confused but Desmond, who had already connected the dots stepped forward and said, "A mother came to plead to the Bellator council for justice for her daughter who was manhandled by the gangs of the city during their celebration."
Sirius sighed. ’No wonder.’ He then turned to the mountain once again before he turned to the both of them and said, "Seal off the city. During the evacuation, no member of the gangs follows. Make sure they don’t make it out of the city as well."
Since only Michelle and Desmond were there, Sirius had no qualms about divulging this information that could be used later.
Michelle was confused but Desmond didn’t say anything in return. He simply replied with a ’Yes, sir,’ and disappeared from his spot. As for Sirius, he turned to look at the mountain once more before he sighed.
’Couldn’t he have just waited for me?’ Sirius lamented inside but didn’t do anything about it. He too left to put up protections around the city.

"What is going on?" Laura, who had just woken up from her breakthrough saw Rose and Alicia sitting in front of her. Before she could even celebrate her reaching B rank, she felt a powerful tremor pass through her and strike her entire being. It was a power she had felt before; it was Adrian’s power.
Rose, who stood with a straight face, said, "No time for questions. We need to evacuate."
"To where?" Laura asked. She wanted to ask what was going on again but she held back once she felt the familiar power of Adrian. It wasn’t mana, it was something else.
As for Rose, she simply said, "To the Cortum empire."
Alicia and Laura didn’t ask for much and Rose didn’t give them an opportunity either. When they came out of the training room, the academy was already desolate. Every student had left for the evacuation. They came out of the academy and made a beeline for the Lux villa where there was still a crowd.
The crowd wasn’t just of anyone either. It was the crowd of the gangs who were protesting as to why they weren’t allowed to pass through the gate.
"We are also the citizens of Bellator. You cannot do this." Big Poppa, the leader of the gang Wild Turtles, said.
Some others joined him but the people who stood in front of them remained impassive. Desmond didn’t say anything to them and just stood still.
Soon, the girls approached the entrance but obviously, they were noticed by the gangs.
"Get them!" Another gang leader shouted but before anyone could react, Rose grabbed both of the girls and lighting began to emit from her. She disappeared from her spot and made a beeline for the entrance.
One of the gang leaders who was known for his speed easily intercepted but he failed to notice someone behind him. An old man touched his back and before the leader could even say anything, his innards were fried and he fell on the spot.
The others, everyone stopped in their tracks except for Rose when they felt the mana of a divine-ranked being.
"Who else wants to look at my granddaughter?" Rafael calmly asked. He had come earlier along with Sirius but instead of the site, he had headed to the Lux villa where he met Max and he was informed of the situation. Max also chose to tell him what happened earlier that afternoon and Rafael was quick to draw the conclusion.
Thanks to him, the evacuation sped up tenfold. Already with the help of the mercenary guild, the city militia, and the students of Bellator, the evacuation process was going smoothly. With the addition of Rafael, it quickened even more.
No one stood up at this overwhelming power of display. Rafael chose to speak up, "You think I would let scum like you in my nation. You’re not people, you’re rodents. Get lost."
Everyone looked at each other. They couldn’t do anything here so all they could do was head back to their strongholds.
Just as they returned, the pillar of light in the mountain suddenly vanished. The throes of power suddenly stopped. Big Poppa laughed and said, "Ha! Whatever it was is done. No need to be afraid anymore, men!"
The other were also relieved. As for Rafael, he turned to the rest and said, "Let us leave as well."
Michelle was the one to speak up before Desmond could agree, "Shouldn’t we investigate whatever it was since it is over?"
Rafael was about to reply when Sirius who suddenly appeared interjected, "It hasn’t ended. It is just the beginning."
The rest of the people in the villa also evacuated but not after activating a protection array for the protection of the villa. They couldn’t let a gang member enter the villa and tamper with the teleoperation array.
As for the gangs, while they evacuated, they talked among themselves about the same thing. "Isn’t this a golden opportunity to make a fortune in life?"
"It is." One of the gang leaders replied and said, "For now though, let’s just head back to the strongholds and reorganize. After that, we equally take everything and split it between each other equally."
"Agreed." All of the gang leaders unanimously replied. While they laughed, suddenly a roar took them by surprise.
It wasn’t the roar of a monster but that of a human. They were surprised but they simply thought it was nothing since what could a single human do? It could be just another human that wasn’t allowed to be evacuated.
They got back to their plans and let go of their useless worries since no other sound came, unaware that a predator was coming for them.
Deep in the mountain of the Bellator, a white-haired boy fixed his bowtie after he changed into a fresh pair of clothes after a soak in a pond nearby.
"Now, let’s get to some killing." He said with a charming smile that no one in the world could replicate.
