Chapter 382: The Most Beautiful Scenery
Chapter 382: Chapter 382: The Most Beautiful Scenery
Mu Zhenzhen met up with Su Ge, and the two walked hand in hand towards a spot by the window.
The pair turned heads all the way to their seat, achieving a nearly 100% rate of second glances.
Guests at every table stared fixedly at them, their eyes practically glued to the pair.
After all, Su Ge dressed up for coffee, and by coincidence, she wore light and softly charming colors similar to Mu Zhenzhen: a light-colored V-neck relaxed sweater on top, a light-colored tulle skirt on the bottom, her hair fully let down. Her hair wasn’t as long as Mu Zhenzhen’s but the tips were curled inward, forming playful and adorable arcs.
Once they took their seats by the window, they instantly became the most dazzling scenery in the entire café.
"It can’t be as busy as you say, right? I still manage to get days off now and then on weekends," Mu Zhenzhen smiled, then pushed the menu in front of Su Ge, "The coffee and desserts here are pretty good. I’ve already ordered some. Xiao Ge, you pick some of your favorites."
Su Ge didn’t stand on ceremony, ordering a cup of coffee and casually picking out two desserts before handing the menu to a nearby server.
"Maybe because the last time I went on an internship with the club left a deep impression, I thought there were no holidays in the hospital. I forgot that you’re a regular employee, which is different from us interns," Su Ge propped her cheek with one hand and looked at Mu Zhenzhen with a distressed face.
Mu Zhenzhen looked at her with a gentle yet helpless expression, "Speaking of which, intern life is indeed quite hard. I heard that the newly arrived Professor Cheng often arranges internships for you?"
"The new arrival?" Su Ge was a bit surprised, "I thought Professor Cheng has been at Medical University for many years."
But then she thought about it, how could Professor Cheng, so young, have been there for many years?
It must be his mature and practiced demeanor that gave her the illusion.
She just felt like, the professor was born for this profession.
"Back when I was in the lab, it wasn’t this professor. The experimental course back then was relatively simple, and the experiments you guys do now seem much more complicated than what we did. But you guys are really amazing. During that one month of internship, you saved a lot of patients who were originally thought to be hopeless. Our dean still often speaks highly of you," Mu Zhenzhen mentioned, looking at Su Ge with admiration in her eyes.
Yet, Su Ge couldn’t muster any joy, "Originally, patient number 5 was also supposed to be discharged, but unfortunately..."
"Xiao Ge," Mu Zhenzhen moderated her expression, speaking earnestly, "the truth is, everyone has their destiny, and some things are determined by the heavens; no one can change that fate. There are countless accidents in the hospital every day. Since you have chosen the medical profession, you will face many similar issues in the future. There will always be outcomes that you can’t anticipate, and you’ll need to learn to accept and let go. Otherwise, this line of work will wear you down."
"Mhmm, Zhenzhen, I’ll remember your words."
All setbacks and hardships should inspire her to grow.
To learn from every failure, to become stronger, not weaker—that’s what makes failure meaningful.
The coffee and desserts were served at that moment.
The two stopped talking and leisurely sipped their coffee, listening to the melodious tune, quietly sitting by the window, watching the scenery of Rong City.
The signs of autumn were getting stronger; the ginkgo trees along the streets had all turned yellow.
The entire Rong City was shrouded in a brilliant golden hue, the warm afternoon sun pouring onto the windowsill. Along with the café’s leisurely melody, everything seemed to become more languid.
