Chapter 1178: Section 722: The Neighbor’s Guest (4)

"Mr. Zhang, what do you think surgery is." Malin looked at the face of the miraculous doctor who was at a loss before the surgical wound, understanding the hesitation and unease in the heart of this half-blood elf who could have been his grandfather.

For a moment, Malin thought of Old Ferrero. It had been a long time since he had seen the old fellow and he wondered if he was still well.

"But Your Highness, you see, this embryo has already deeply integrated with the patient. If we’re not careful, we might kill this poor girl." The elderly gentleman said with a worried expression.

"I remember you have a Spell Talent, do you know the Ice Binding Technique?" Malin asked.

The old man nodded: "Yes, I am most skilled at the Ice Binding Technique."

"I’ll give you a plan: first use the Hypnotic Technique to calm this embryo, then strip away the fat layers. Next, have your assistant lift the embryo. At the junction where the embryo connects with the main blood vessels of the lungs and stomach, find the freezing point. Use clamps to grip the bridge blood vessels that attach the embryo to the human blood vessels, then freeze them. Afterward, swiftly remove it. Remember to be quick, otherwise, losing nutritional supply might cause the embryo to go berserk, and even I don’t know what would happen. Remember, Mr. Zhang, learning to save lives, to respect life, and to kill life are not conflicting for a doctor."

After speaking, Malin stepped back two steps.

In his eyes, the elderly man took a deep breath and then retrieved a tube from his pocket, inhaling it in his mouth. Then he walked over to the operating table.

A herbal preparation, mist component, without addictive effects, leading Malin to give up on pursuing what exactly he inhaled. He watched the old man carefully separate the fatty layer and then calmed the embryo with a spell formation—the embryo of this girl was unlike those of her companions, whose embryos hadn’t developed to such a scale that Malin could easily remove them.

While the embryo in her chest grew very rapidly, this validated the records left by Bei Luo after multiple encounters with these aliens.

The stronger the beings that were parasitized by the aliens, the faster the embryo grew. It was unfortunate for this girl, the strongest Immortal Master in the team, so her embryo already exhibited characteristics of a Chestburster—protruding inner teeth, joint-like slender tails, conspicuous yellow-green blocks visible on its surface, and through the thin and transparent chitin membrane, organs could already be seen, with small front limbs already formed.

Almost a Chestburster nearing maturity.

Bei Luo once said, every alien invasion leads to a bloody storm; he alone had dealt with three invasions, where thousands of casualties were considered minor events—even the largest one, a fully-formed alien tide swept through the entire Southwest Province, costing at least ten thousand lives, a city turned into a haunted domain, and ultimately gathered two hundred legendary and hundreds of thousands of troops in a joint clearing to completely resolve this disaster.

Malin watched as the young first assistant lifted the embryo; his hands were trembling, a natural response. If it were Malin in his early corporate days, knowing he held an alien embryo, his legs would also shake, so the young man’s display was commendable.

The second assistant handed over the clamps, clamping the blood vessels bridged to the human body.

The embryo moved slightly.

The old man began freezing those blood vessels. The embryo started convulsing, as if in a nightmare, with its small forelimbs tearing at the membranes.

The final active bridge blood vessel completed freezing, and the old man and his second assistant each held two pairs of scissors, beginning to cut the blood vessels.

After a countdown of three, they cut the blood vessels simultaneously.

The embryo immediately woke up, tearing through the membrane, as the first assistant who held it screamed and attempted to throw away the Chestburster.

"No!" The old man screamed to stop his assistant’s foolishness.

But he still threw it away.

In a forgivable act, the helplessness and pitifulness of mortals facing transcendent different kinds were visibly evident, so Malin extended his left hand using Psychic Palm, grabbing the Chestburster that tried to curl into the corner.

The alien sound syllable resonated in Malin’s mouth.

The Chestburster, puzzled and hesitant, ultimately lowered its head and was embraced by Malin.

"Poor child, I’m sorry, to save a person, I disturbed your dream, bringing you misfortune and death..." Malin stroked the round forehead of the Chestburster, which completely calmed down until Malin’s last touch, and then it was lifted and fully enveloped by spiritual energy, until completely squeezed into a small mass of flesh, then consumed entirely by flames.

Malin looked at the dumbfounded old man: "Mr. Zhang, what are you waiting for, there’s a poor girl on the operating table waiting for you to close her chest, yet you and your assistants are looking at me, am I the patient here instead?"

Put to shame by Malin’s questioning, the old man resumed his work.

Malin threw the completely scorched flesh into a nearby trash bin, then looked at Bei Luo: "See, the matter is resolved."

"Seems like a Psychic Master is now a standard for operating on such late-stage parasites." Bei Luo replied with some emotion.

"Yeah, resolved. Please consult with them for information and let me know afterward. Now I need to return to the defense line." Malin said while opening the teleportation channel.

"Let me join you; things here have been sorted out, let Mr. Zhang handle the follow-up issues. I bet he learned a great deal." Bei Luo said as he walked over to Malin’s side.
