Chapter 1215: The Silver Moon Conspiracy (I)

The presences of Ying Hongyue and the others steadily grew stronger. Ying Hongyue’s face twitched and energy agitated within his body. “We need to go, Li Hao is here!”

The group started with surprise. Li Hao was here?

No one dared hesitate. Although Ying Hongyue and the Moon God had improved greatly, they still might not measure up to the Fused Dao level Li Hao. The group swiftly rose to their feet and fled in the same direction.

The young man was the true villain in their eyes.

Behind them, the young man’s body could already be seen. He looked ahead and called out to the group, “Ying Hongyue, Your Majesty, why so worried? I won’t kill you that easily. Let’s sit and chat since it’s been a while!”

Everyone ignored him. The group ran swiftly.

Of the three great organizations, the remaining one thousand weaklings had to be stored in a weapon for the moment. That was how they kept up with the escaping crowd. Of the back robes and red robes, there were roughly a dozen of each.

Almost all of them were of the Immortal level, but they could only run when they saw Li Hao.

“Ying Hongyue... I just want to talk! Are you that unwilling?”

Up ahead, Ying Hongyue was genteel and urbane as ever. His usual fan was nowhere to be seen, however, so he lacked some of his usual dashing air.

“Li Hao, I’m quite willing to talk to you, but we don’t have to do it face-to-face!” he chuckled as he stepped through the air. “If you don’t mind, open our communication systems for a nice long chat!”

The group shattered the void at the same time, sending disturbances rippling through the air and obstructing the young man’s path.

“Li Hao, your greatest enemy is not us,” Ying Hongyue continued. “Are you so certain of being able to take us all even if you chase us down? It would be the worst outcome for you if you end up injured and give an opening to others!”

“This is Divine Nation, Li Hao!” the queen snorted. In other words, she could bring even stronger power to bear here.

The power of faith filled the void. If it wasn’t for the fact that she hadn’t fully digested the Silver Moon power, she wouldn’t want to run at all. She’d stay and fight Li Hao.

The Divine Nation queen had easily triumphed over the young man the first time they met.

“How rebellious!” Li Hao sighed and suddenly disappeared.

Not only did this not set the group’s heart at ease, but they were even more nervous than before. They hastened their steps and prepared to fully break away.

A divine spirit abruptly screamed. There weren’t many left by the queen’s side to begin with; the wail had come from one of the stronger divine spirits. Their divine power immediately began dispersing.

The queen instantly identified what had happened and flew into a towering rage. “How dare you, Li Hao!”

The young man had entered the Hao Cosmos to break a divine spirit’s dao star!

Most divine spirits cultivated one dao and thus only had one dao meridian in their bodies. Contrary to the human race, divine spirits lost their strength if that one meridian was severed. They might be alive, but they would be on par with mundanes.

Ying Hongyue slightly furrowed his brows. It was such a detriment to his plans that Li Hao could freely come and go from the dao universe. The gesture was echoed by the Celestial Sword Immortal and lord of Yonder Mountain.

They also cultivated the new dao, but it was quickly becoming a drawback. Would Li Hao shatter their dao stars as well?

The queen’s presence built as her fury soared. There’d been hordes of divine spirits at her beck and call in the beginning, now there were only single digits by her side! Another one of their dao stars had just broken and their presence was in disarray!

If this continued, the divine spirits of the west would be forced to completely withdraw from the world stage!

She was infuriated behind belief and wanted to stay behind to battle that demon. She was much stronger than before and so was Ying Hongyue. They had roughly two dozen Immortals from Red Moon and the Zheng family backing them up. Did they need to fear Li Hao with a force like this?

No matter how strong he was, he’d only just entered the Fused Dao level. His grasp of the new cultivation level was not yet definitive. A bunch of Immortals could outright mob him to death!

“Ying Hongyue... we can kill him together!” snarled the queen. She was worried about the survival of her remaining divine spirits. Her wrath built when the man shook his head slightly.

“Is this how you react each time you encounter him?? No wonder you’ve been doing nothing but lose!”

Ying Hongyue deepened his head shake with a sigh. “It’s not out of the question if Your Majesty wishes to give it a try! It’s just... I’m concerned that you’ll pay a bigger price for it.”

“Hmph! That is still better than running away without a fight. Can a few dozen powerhouses be afraid of a young man?” The queen felt that she would soon set foot into the ranks of Saint cultivators if she took in just a bit more Silver Moon energy.

The gap between her and the young man wouldn’t be as great then. Besides, did they need to worry about Li Hao when they had so many Immortals on their side?

The black and red robes in the group also hesitated, some eagerness belying that hesitation. Were they really weaker than Li Hao? They were all veteran Immortals from New Martial!

Ying Hongyue stopped a moment later.

The queen’s mind was flip-flopping between various options and she wanted to stay and fight. The others were of the same mind. If he insisted on running, it would drive a greater wedge between him and the rest.

Ying Hongyue didn’t like this kind of grouping, their hearts were scattered all over the place and everyone had their own plans in mind.

But there was no helping it. The group had just struck an alliance and he wasn’t able to corral them all so quickly.

Even someone as strong and with great potential as Li Hao had to go at it step by step when he wanted to recruit those of New Martial. It wasn’t until he killed a Saint by himself that those of Battle Heaven were convinced.

It was easy to tell from that just how hard winning over people could be.

......

Li Hao arrived on the scene moments later.

Several dozen powerhouses hovered in the air, loosely assembled into a formation. Almost all of them were Immortals. This was a very powerful force!

The young man didn’t immediately advance on his opponents. He stopped in the distance and quietly took stock of the power of faith lingering in the air. Li Hao raised an eyebrow when he found that it was converging on this spot.

He took a look at the Moon God who looked remotely back at him.

“I have a question, can you answer it for me?” he suddenly asked.

“......” Everyone blinked to find their enemy asking this right before an important battle.

“What kind of tricks do you have up your sleeves now?” The Moon God speared him with an aloof look. “Since we’re not on the run anymore, Li Hao, that means we are willing to fight you! Are you afraid?”

“Shut up!” Li Hao rebuked. “Let me finish! My question is if the divine spirits have multiple dao meridians or just one? I’ve studied many divine corpses and find that they all have only one dao meridian. There are no others...”

The queen’s rage deepened and the remaining three divine spirits scowled. Studied many divine corpses... these words were maddening to listen to!

A light sparkled in Ying Hongyue’s eyes and he laughed, “If we talk about it in terms of your so-called new dao, the Hao Cosmos dao, then there is only one connate dao meridian that the divine spirits bear.”

“Does that apply to the Moon God?”

“Do you want to kill me?” sneered the queen. “That’s impossible! My dao meridian is not in your so-called dao universe, but outside. Do you see the moon in the sky? That is my dao!”

The silver moon in the void was her dao. A dao meridian that was not located in the dao universe was unique indeed.

Li Hao tallied up the potential implications of this answer. That’s not right, you have more dao meridians—the body dao meridian. I located that one thanks to you. It just wasn’t activated and hidden away because you hadn’t cultivated it yet.

Therefore, you do have a dao meridian in the dao universe, and more than one!

But divine spirits only possessed one dao meridian because they were born and nurtured by the world, so something was amiss here! Did a divine spirit with multiple meridians count as being of the world?

Granted, this one was the second generation Moon God, so her circumstances may be more unique. Perhaps she was equipped with dao meridians that could be found elsewhere.

Except... was this truly the case?

The powerhouses facing him did not go on the offensive. They waited passively, whereas Li Hao stopped in his tracks. He looked at Ying Hongyue, then at the queen, and finally considered the experts from Galewind and Red Moon universe.

There was a dense concentration of Red Moon power on all of them. Were the representatives of the Red Moon universe originally from that world, or were they New Martial powerhouses converted by a high density of Red Moon power?

The young man did not have a definitive answer.

The Divine Nation queen grew tired of waiting and snorted, exuding Silver Moon power and slamming her palm at Li Hao! Since no one dared make the first move, she would take it upon herself to do so! That would also demonstrate to the others just how strong he was! Could he really fight dozens of Immortals?

The young man backed away and permitted the palm strike to come at him. It shattered the void and even landed on him, leaving a mark behind.

The queen blinked with astonishment, as did the others. She was eighth or ninth level Sun and Moon these days, not a weak cultivation level. But... hadn’t Li Hao set foot into Fused Dao? How could he be hit so easily?

Li Hao caressed his injured spot and collected a tendril of Silver Moon power. He gently sniffed it, prompting the queen’s eyelids to spasm.

Li Hao was a pervert! A demonic lecher!

When she thought back to how he’d felt her all over during their fight, she was even more furious and ground her teeth. “Li Hao, you are the leader of Skystar Dynasty, yet so shameless that it disgusts me!”

On the other hand, Ying Hongyue looked meaningfully at Li Hao.

The young man took a deep sniff and sent his senses into the tendril. “Your Majesty, might I ask how old you are?”

“You disgusting bastard!” snarled the queen as a scepter appeared in her hand. It swung for Li Hao, bringing dense Silver Moon power to bear in a formidable arc. The power of faith gathered around them, erupting with the highest limits of power beneath the Saint level.

Even peak Immortals would be taken aback by this display.

One hundred million beings seemed to be praying in the surroundings. Their prayers tolled through the nation, resonating through the land. It felt like one hundred million people were joining forces to kill Li Hao!

This was the power of faith!

At the same time, the others stirred restlessly. The young man... didn’t seem as strong as they thought! Just the queen alone was sufficient to threaten him. The gap between the two didn’t seem that great even if she couldn’t defeat him. In that case, they might really be able to end Li Hao here today.
