Chapter 94: Where his IQ disappear to?

A post on the school’s forum read: "[Shocking news! I saw the tyrant bought a drink for the target!]"

Beneath this post was a picture of Bei Sangyun passing a drink to Fei Chuan in the cafeteria. The post had quickly become the most discussed topic among the students at school, drawing numerous comments every minute.

[yolande_duggan: Finally, someone posted this. I’ve been waiting for everyone to point this out. I’ve seen them eating together in the cafeteria for three days straight now.]

[Ang3l_bby: Did you guys also notice they’ve been coming to school together? I once saw them coming out of the same car. What’s going on? Is the tyrant even watching him outside of school?]

[CherryLwaQ5s: Someone in Class 3-1A says that the tyrant has been sticking close to the target these past few days. Is this a new form of bullying?]

Many students were wondering if this was just one of the tyrant’s whims. Bei Sangyun’s actions had raised suspicions, as it was an entirely new approach.

However, there were also students who testified to their experiences, causing widespread confusion.

[Sarah_he: My friend and I were eating behind them yesterday. I don’t think the tyrant was bullying him. How could I put this... It seemed the tyrant is serving the target... Please don’t hate my comment.]

[Mich34: Thankfully, someone commented this. I was wondering if only my eyes and ears were wrong, but I was behind them in the line when I heard the tyrant asking the target what he wants to buy, and the tyrant said she would pay for it. She even offered to carry his tray! I was so shocked that I thought I was just hallucinating it.]

[dcinpink: You are not alone, sister. I am from Class 3-1B, and I have the same P.E. practice with Class 3-1A. You won’t believe what I saw: the tyrant was running errands for the target! I saw her running toward him and passing him a bottled water!]

[Ethan_xiong: I saw that too....]

Soon, many students who had ’witnessed’ these amazing scenes commented on their experiences, causing this thread to top the school’s forum for an entire week.

As for the subject of the entire school’s discussion, Bei Sangyun caught up with Fei Chuan and handed him the milk she had bought with the help of her lackey.

"Have this while it’s still chilled," she offered with a smile.

Fei Chuan: "...."

He glanced at the milk in her hand, noting it was his favorite brand, which wasn’t sold in the cafeteria. To obtain it, she must have sent someone to a supermarket specifically to get it.

While she was very considerate in ’serving’ him, he couldn’t help but feel unhappy about the situation. After all, he didn’t want the tyrant to be his lackey.

//

"Put it away." Fei Chuan answered coldly.

He was now regretting his actions. Why did he have to show a rare act of kindness that day?

After that incident, Bei Sangyun evolved into a sticky gum and had been constantly sticking to him.

Her relentless attempts to get closer to him were driving him crazy.

He had tried to establish boundaries by reminding her of their ’deal’ not to bother him, but Bei Sangyun always had a quick and clever rebuttal ready.

When he suggested she stop walking to school with him, she pointed out that they were schoolmates walking in the same direction, so it was only natural for them to go together. When he requested that she refrain from speaking to him in the classroom, she argued that they were deskmates and interaction was unavoidable.

Fei Chuan had no effective way to deter her, so he was left to endure her constant presence with a cold, stoic demeanor.

During their break time, as he was heading to the cafeteria, Bei Sangyun once again appeared before him, this time offering a beverage. Despite her attempt to be discreet, he noticed many students casting curious glances their way. He could only assume that their strange interactions had become the subject of gossip.

"Will you accept this one?" Bei Sangyun asked, her voice tinged with disappointment. "It’s not easy to get this."

"Then, drink it yourself. I’ve told you countless times that I don’t need a lackey."

"I understand," Bei Sangyun replied, unfazed. "You don’t want me as a friend or a lackey. So, I’m just a concerned classmate who wants to give you a drink."

Fei Chuan: "...."

Arguing with her seemed futile.

As they reached the cafeteria, the atmosphere shifted dramatically.

At that point, everyone, whether they were eating or laughing with their friends, came to a halt. Every eye in the room turned to focus on them, their gazes intense.

It wasn’t unusual for students to sneak glances at them, but this time, it was unmistakably different.

The sudden silence even caused Fei Chuan who had already grown accustomed to their stares and gossip to feel the peculiar atmosphere.

Why was it everyone seemed to be watching them closely?

Bei Sangyun, however, seemed unaffected by the attention. To her, these reactions were all the same. She proceeded confidently to the table where Fei Chuan usually sat and carefully wiped down his chair. With a servile smile, she gestured for him to take his seat.

"It’s cleaned now."

Fei Chuan: "...."

Bei Sangyun clapped her hands with enthusiasm. "I’ll go get your meal."

The eyes of the entire cafeteria followed her every move.

Bei Sangyun was about to leave when Fei Chuan stopped her, his hand holding her wrist.

"Wait."

Bei Sangyun paused, her gaze went to Fei Chuan’s hand that held her wrist.

This was the first time Fei Chuan had initiated contact with her. It would be great if his miraculous hand touched her food instead. Then she could confirm her conjecture.

"Come with me," Fei Chuan said and began to drag Bei Sangyun away.

All eyes followed their departing figures.

Once they disappeared from the cafeteria, the onlookers erupted in a frenzy.

The gossip on the school’s forum seemed to be true!

....

The two arrived in a secluded corner.

Fei Chuan released her wrist.

"Please stop doing this."

Bei Sangyun tilted her head. The warmth of his touch on her wrist still lingered, and she unconsciously rubbed her wrist to dissipate the strange sensation.

"I’ve always accepted it when you rejected my offers. So when I buy you a meal, you can’t stop me either. Of course, I won’t be able to do anything if you reject it again, like before."

Fei Chuan sighed in frustration, "You’re just wasting your time. You won’t get anything from me even if you keep doing this."

"Who said I’m wasting my time? Just consider this as a thank you for your help last time."

"And I deeply regret that..." Fei Chuan muttered. "Anyway, your actions have already caught the attention of the entire school. I know you want others to view us as friends. But I don’t think that trick will work. I bet they will come up with something crazy."

"Since when do you care what others think?"

Fei Chuan narrowed his eyes at her. "You speak as if you know me."

Bei Sangyun: "...."

She looked away. "Well, I think you’re not that type of person."

"Then what type of person do you think I am?" Fei Chuan asked with a narrow glint.

He stepped forward toward Bei Sangyun, his tall body overshadowing hers.

He was obviously threatening her, but Bei Sangyun did not find him threatening at all. She met his gaze once more.

"You’re the type of person who holds deep grudges, is not easily swayed by others, and has the most stubborn mind. That kind of person won’t even consider bothersome thoughts from others."

Fei Chuan paused. His gaze fixed at Bei Sangyun.

He hadn’t expected that Bei Sangyun had that impression of him. He assumed she would see him as a coward, weak-willed, and a sore loser.

For a moment, the response he had intended to give was held back, swallowed back down into his stomach.

After a pause, Fei Chuan sighed defeatedly.

"You act overly friendly and stick to me all day. I have been enduring it for a week. I’ll give in this time. What is it you want to accomplish?"

Bei Sangyun’s eyes brightened. She held his hand, which caught him off guard.

"Can you bless my food?"

She did not hesitate and asked directly; she was afraid he would take back his words.

.....

"Like this?"

The two were currently spending their break time in a secluded corner.

Fei Chuan was holding a cupcake that Bei Sangyun bought somewhere. She asked him to bless her food.

At first, he thought she was kidding around, but she wouldn’t let go of his hand until he agreed.

Just as he agreed, she immediately let him go and said to wait for her.

Five minutes passed, and she returned with a cupcake.

Under Fei Chuan’s puzzled gaze, Bei Sangyun unwrapped the cupcake and put it in his hand.

She made him hold it.

"So I will only hold it? Is this the blessing you are talking about?" Fei Chuan started to wonder why he was led by the nose again.

Whenever he was with Bei Sangyun, his IQ and EQ went down the drain. It was as if his rational thoughts seemed to disappear.

Now he was holding a cupcake like a fool.

"That’s it! Hold it tight."

".... Don’t ask me to recite a prayer." Fei Chuan muttered.

"Nope. All you have to do is hold it."

Fei Chuan sighed and wondered again where his IQ went.

Just as he was complaining about himself inwardly, Bei Sangyun held his hand and took a bite of the cupcake he was holding.

Fei Chuan: "...."
