As Fei Chuan ascended the stairs, the frown etched on his face deepened. Despite his attempts to disregard the prying gazes and hushed whispers trailing him, the peculiar attention he garnered refused to escape his notice.

Their scrutiny felt different this time—too intense to be merely due to his notorious reputation. Something was amiss.

Did Bei Sangyun stir up trouble again?

He was wondering what kind of mess she made as he approached his classroom.

Just a few steps away from the door, the murmur of a student inside caught his attention.

"Is Fei Chuan really from the Great Fei family?"

Fei Chuan’s stride halted.

"Haven’t you seen the post on the school forum? There’s even a picture of him with the other members of the Fei family."

...School forum?

The initial speaker persisted, "I saw it too. But it doesn’t add up. If he’s truly part of the renowned Fei family, why would he allow himself to be bullied? If I were a young master from the Fei family, I wouldn’t tolerate such treatment. I’d have the entire school under my control, like the tyrant."

"I read in the comments that Fei Chuan might be an illegitimate child; that’s why he hasn’t disclosed his affiliation with the Fei family. Perhaps the Fei family doesn’t want anyone to know they have such a cowardly member in their ranks," added another student.

"I’ve been thinking the same. If he were a true noble young master, he should possess the qualities of the Fei family, right? But he doesn’t seem to have any of their talents," chimed in a third student.

"I heard his mother died when he was too young, and he ended up abandoned somewhere. Unlike other young masters, he didn’t receive as much education. Isn’t that why he always cowers in fear in front of the bullies?"

"Ugh, the Fei family genes and name are wasted on him."

"They are too kind to accept such a bastard into their family-"

Bang!

The door was suddenly kicked open, sending two of the gossiping group flying.

Fei Chuan turned his head, shock evident in his eyes as he looked at Bei Sangyun. He did not notice when she arrived.

Bei Sangyun’s expression darkened as she picked up one of the two men sprawled on the ground. "Do you want to get your tongue cut off?"

The student shivered, confronted by Bei Sangyun’s thunderous demeanor. He hadn’t expected to be caught by the tyrant.

"I-I... p-please... s-spare me..." he stammered, fear evident in his voice. The dark look on the tyrant’s face had truly unnerved him.

Bei Sangyun lightly slapped his cheek like a true gangster. "You’re asking the wrong person."

The student hurriedly shifted his gaze to Fei Chuan, who was behind Bei Sangyun, his pale lips trembling. "...I am s-sorry. P-please spare m-me."

Bei Sangyun released him, then turned her cold gaze toward the group that had spoken ill of Fei Chuan.

The students who met her terrifying gaze stood up straight and bowed fearfully to Fei Chuan. "We are sorry! Please spare us!"

Fei Chuan: "...."

Bei Sangyun turned to him. "They are at your disposal."

She then called her lackey number one. "Hey, you. Whoever runs their mouth like that again, bring me that person."

"Yes, boss!" Lackey number one eagerly complied.

Bei Sangyun made her way to her seat. Their classmates avoided eye contact and steered clear of her.

Fei Chuan ignored the people bowing to him and sat beside Bei Sangyun. "Are you planning to run a gang? It suits you well."

"These people wanted to be my hands and feet. It’s a shame not to use them," Bei Sangyun casually replied. She then pointed at the group who were at a loss after apologizing to Fei Chuan. "You should use those guys too. Either beat them up or work them into slaves."

She narrowed her eyes darkly at those people. "If you don’t want to, then I can take care of them."

Fei Chuan glanced at her. She seemed genuinely angry. He wasn’t even that upset, but Bei Sangyun got angry on his behalf.

Although he knew she was irate because those people hadn’t heeded her warning after announcing to everyone that he was ’under’ her tutelage, it put Fei Chuan in a lighter mood.

"I’m not really bothered by the rumors. As for those guys, I’m not the type to let things go."

Bei Sangyun nodded, understanding that aspect of him. "Anyway, are you hungry? I’ll bring something for you."

Without waiting for his answer, she stood up. "Lackey number one, let’s get some food." She called one of her lackeys and left the room with him.

Fei Chuan: "?"

He looked at her disappearing figure, confusion etched on his face.

.....

"Is this it?" Bei Sangyun asked lackey number one as she showed the phone to him.

While walking along the school’s pathway, she overheard two students in front of her discussing the Fei family and Fei Chuan.

This piqued her interest because, in high school, nobody knew about Fei Chuan’s family background until they assumed the headship of their respective families.

Fei Chuan had never disclosed his relationship with the Fei family, nor even used the privilege of his family name, choosing to keep it under wraps.

Hearing the students talk about it made Bei Sangyun realize that something unusual was happening.

Upon questioning the student, she discovered that the entire school had learned about Fei Chuan’s background and was now gossiping about how inferior he was compared to his family.

She didn’t wait to hear more and hurriedly went to the classroom.

Fei Chuan had deliberately kept his background hidden for a reason—to remain low-key and evade the covetous eyes of the Fei family members.

The current Fei Chuan was too weak to face them, so he endured until he could strike back decisively.

With his identity now revealed and the rumors circulating, especially if they reached the ears of the unsavory characters in the Fei family, Fei Chuan could be in serious trouble.

She found him in front of the classroom, standing in front of the door, listening silently to those absurd words. As the hurtful remarks reached her ears, Bei Sangyun’s eyes darkened, and she angrily kicked the door.

After ensuring that everyone’s mouths in that class would keep shut, she left with her lackey to assess the situation.

Lackey number one nodded. "Yes, that’s it. It was posted around midnight and circulated very fast this early morning."

Bei Sangyun scrolled through the post and read the most liked comments. Her eyes grew colder with each word.

"These people have no qualms about writing whatever they want. How absurd." Bei Sangyun took a deep breath and turned off her phone.

Reading the post and the comments made her heart tremble with anger.

"Delete this post soon. And find out who wrote this anonymous post." Bei Sangyun handed him a card. "Use the money here."

Lackey number one accepted her card and left immediately. He wouldn’t attend class until he finished his boss’s orders. This was an opportunity to become the boss’ real lackey!

Bei Sangyun leaned against the wall, arms crossed. There was no need to ponder who orchestrated all of this.

That person must have discovered that she treasured Fei Chuan and decided to ruin him, just like how he ruined everything she liked in the past.

If Sophia treated her like a servant, Richard wanted to destroy everything around her so that she could only rely on and be dependent on him.

He was a perverted masochist who acted gently to his toys but hid a cruel nature inside. He wanted to toy with his target until they only had him, and then he would cruelly rip apart his toy with his own hands.

Bei Sangyun’s eyes flashed darkly. As if she would let things go his way.

....

Richard and Lin Sunji arrived in the classroom together. Their arrival was like a ray of sunshine, breaking the tense atmosphere that Bei Sangyun caused.

With their entrance, the girls approached Richard with enthusiasm. They greeted him warmly, while Lin Sunji’s friends whisked her away to their table to discuss the current trending post.

"Did you know that Fei Chuan actually comes from the Great Fei family?"

"It’s said he’s a bastard child. He grew up in the countryside and just returned here to the capital."

The girls exchanged hushed whispers, leaving Lin Sunji stunned. She knew that Fei Chuan hailed from the Fei family, but the revelation of him being a bastard was news to her.

Fei Chuan, was an illegitimate child?

Lin Sunji paused, then burst into laughter.

No wonder. No wonder that bitch stuck close to Fei Chuan—she probably felt they shared the same situation. Both were bastards and both were disrupting other families. Birds of a feather really flocked together.

"They really suit each other well." Lin Sunji commented with a smile. She was actually quite a bit envious that Bei Sangyun managed to get a member of the Fei family to her side.

But it seemed that Bei Sangyun only got a useless trash. It won’t help her at all politically.

Lin Sunji parted ways with her friends and approached Richard. Sticking close to him was the best course of action indeed.

Richard took his seat. Bei Sangyun’s chair remained empty. His gaze shifted to Fei Chuan, who was engrossed in his phone.

A smile played on Richard’s lips. He had overheard other students talking about him and his family on his way to class. The man he hired proved to be fast and skilled at uncovering people’s secrets.

He had been somewhat surprised to discover that Fei Chuan’s background was not any less prestigious than the Lin family’s. However, upon delving further, he realized that Fei Chuan’s standing within the Fei family was the worst.

Seizing this advantage, he had instructed Code to get it on online.

Now, all he needed to do was wait as Code destroy Fei Chuan little by little.
