Fei Chuan narrowed his eyes. He must be out of his mind to even consider getting along with her. Look at her attitude; she didn’t appear sincere in asking for a chance.

He’d better go back to his original plan – making her slowly pay for all the troubles and traumas she had caused him.

Fei Chuan kicked Bei Sangyun’s chair again, even harder this time.

Bei Sangyun tried to ignore the kicking.

She hadn’t been able to sleep a wink last night. Because she couldn’t stay the night at the hospital as she usually did, Bei Sangyun went back to the Lin mansion.

That place only brought nightmares to her. She couldn’t sleep well, so she decided to stay awake and wait for the morning.

Now that her mind was able to rest, she greedily took the chance to sleep. However, the person beside her wasn’t allowing her to rest.

Another hard kick shook her chair.

Bei Sangyun sprung up and glared at Fei Chuan. "What’s your problem?"

Fei Chuan glared back at her. "You’re the one who has a problem. Sleeping in class? What kind of model student are you?"

The irritation from lack of sleep and his bothering caused her to reply in mock, "Then how about you become the model student instead? Let me sleep, for goodness’ sake."

Bei Sangyun moved her chair a few centimeters away from Fei Chuan and rested her head in her arms on the desk.

Fei Chuan: "...."

His eyes narrowed. He raised his hand and called out to the teacher, "Sir, my seatmate doesn’t want to work on our project. She is sleeping in class."

"Who dares to sleep in my class? I will surely mark this student’s attendance today as absent!" the teacher angrily replied, ready to scold the sleeping student.

Fei Chuan pointed at Bei Sangyun, "Her."

Bei Sangyun lifted her head from her arms and cast an annoyed glance at Fei Chuan.

The teacher saw that it was Bei Sangyun. The anger on his face immediately subsided. His tone became gentle. "...Oh, it’s Lin Sangyun. Are you perhaps sick, my dear?"

Fei Chuan: "...."

Bei Sangyun gave a smug smile to him. She then held her head, "I have a headache, so I slept for a bit. I didn’t mean to sleep in your class, teacher."

"It’s okay. It’s okay. Do you want to go to the clinic?" the teacher asked, overly concerned.

"No, teacher. I’ll just rest here. But what about the group project..."

"You have your teammate with you. Let him do it!" The teacher turned to the dumbfounded Fei Chuan, "Fei Chuan, don’t force your classmate, especially when they are not feeling well. Be considerate! I will allow your group to submit your draft in the next class."

Bei Sangyun smiled sweetly, "Thank you, Sir."

"No problem. Rest well." The teacher smiled gently, then scolded Fei Chuan again before turning to other groups.

Bei Sangyun smiled at Fei Chuan. "The teacher said it’s fine. No problem now, right?"

There was a hint of smugness and mocking in her tone. She was clearly bragging that the teacher sided with her, and he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

A bulging vein appeared on Fei Chuan’s temple.

This unfair treatment would make any student green in envy and anger.

As he expected, he couldn’t be friends with her. He hated her guts. He hated how she took advantage of her popularity and status, while other students -particularly him- got scolded and had to work hard in her place.

As Bei Sangyun went back to her sleep and started to snore, Fei Chuan’s eyes glinted.

Since she slept this unguarded, then don’t blame him.

He took out a black marker from his bag. This was just a little payback.

Bei Sangyun stretched out. She had slept through the break.

This seat was truly miraculous. She didn’t have any bad dreams and was able to sleep peacefully whenever she took a nap in this chair. Should she take this seat to her bedroom in the Lin mansion?

Bei Sangyun turned to her seatmates’ direction on instinct. Fei Chuan was gone; he probably went to the cafeteria. Many students had also left the classroom.

"Boss, you’re finally awake! Are you hungry-" The lackey’s words paused as Bei Sangyun turned to face him.

Bei Sangyun yawned. "I’m not hungry, but I still need to eat. Is Fei Chuan in the cafeteria?"

The lackey had a constipated look on his face. As if he was trying to hold onto something. He was struggling to say the right words.

"...Ah. Y-yes. He is there. But, boss, what’s on your fa-"

Bei Sangyun stood up. "Where are the others?"

The lackey was still staring at her face. "...They’re waiting in the cafeteria too. Boss, there’s something on your face..."

Bei Sangyun wiped her mouth. She had slept deeply, so her saliva must have stuck to her cheek.

She opened the classroom door and walked through the hallway. She had rested well, so her mood was a bit lighter. Her mind was clear, and her chest didn’t feel as heavy. It would be great if her empty stomach were filled as well.

A lot of people in the hallway stared at her and gossiped behind her back. She was used to it and ignored them all the way to the cafeteria.

Once she entered the cafeteria, her lackeys immediately spotted her.

"Boss, here-!" But their words halted when they saw her face up close.

Bei Sangyun patted their shoulders. "I’ll be joining Fei Chuan’s table. Bring me the usual."

"...Okay, boss." The lackey replied a bit slowly. He then pointed at Bei Sangyun’s face, "...Is that a new trend today, boss?"

Bei Sangyun thought he was talking about the sleep marks on her face. She had slept for a long time, so there was an indelible mark. It was just amusing that he called it a ’trend’.

"This will go away soon," she replied and then went to Fei Chuan’s table.

As usual, Fei Chuan was eating alone in his usual spot.

When Bei Sangyun took a seat, Fei Chuan, who was eating, raised his head.

He almost choked when he saw her face.

He immediately drank water. His expression was comical, and Bei Sangyun couldn’t help but smirk. "What? Can’t get used to my beauty?"

Fei Chuan gulped the water and nodded with amusement in his eyes. "Yeah. I can’t get used to it. It suits you well." He even gave her a thumbs-up.
