Chapter 801: Chapter 806: Embracing Punk

Schultz looked skeptical, and Rodriguez looked surprised; it was evident in their eyes that they didn’t quite believe what Yang Yi was saying.

Being doubted is really frustrating. Yang Yi thought to himself, "I can’t get Xiao Ran or handle Kate, but if I, as a key figure in the Organization of Water, can’t even deal with a streamer, what the hell am I doing here?"

Yang Yi pulled Schultz aside and sat down in his computer chair, then pointed at the black screen of the computer and said, "What have you done with this? I see you haven’t shut it down, now bring the picture up for me."

Schultz was reluctant, his face twisted as he said, "I don’t want to."

Rodriguez said impatiently, "Why not? She’s a streamer, who knows how many people have already watched her."

Schultz still had a resolute look on his face, "I just don’t want to."

Human psychology is strange; if you fall for a woman, a woman who dances undressed, then everyone can look at her, and of course, you can’t stop that. But your own friends and family cannot see, and that, you can stop.

Yang Yi very much understood Schultz’s mentality, but he had to see what kind of woman Schultz had fallen for.

"Schultz, if you want me to quickly take care of this for you, then you need to let me see her. You said she won’t be completely undressed, right? Then there’s no need to worry too much, just a quick look, just a quick one."

Schultz looked at him warily, "You’re not going to look at her with dirty thoughts, are you?"

Yang Yi pulled a stern face and said, "Make up your mind quickly."

Schultz hesitated, but finally, he reached out and tapped the keyboard, and the black screen immediately lit up with a woman dancing.

She was indeed dressed, scantily, but that still avoided potential trouble later on, which was good, because it’s just like being in a swimsuit at the beach; not unacceptable.

Rodriguez whistled, then he said loudly, "Her breasts aren’t that big."

Schultz was going mad, he shouted, "Rod!"

Yang Yi gestured with his hand, then said in a serious tone, "The setting doesn’t look very nice, it’s very simply decorated, and the recording equipment looks crude, not like a professional streamer."

Schultz immediately said, "She lives with a roommate, a university roommate. Oh, she hasn’t graduated yet but is about to. Her roommate is a streamer; she was dragged into it by her roommate, but her roommate’s performances are much more sensational than hers."

"Is she still a student?"

"Yes, an anthropology major at the College of Arts and Sciences at Seattle University. She has over forty thousand dollars in student loan debt and no reliable source of income because her family situation is very bad. Her mother died from a drug overdose, and her father died from speeding while under the influence of drugs. Overall, she’s had a tough life."

Rodriguez looked cautious as he said, "How could you know all this? Aren’t these stories made up by her?"

Schultz snapped, "I’ve never spoken a word to her! I told you I’ve checked her chat logs, her posting history, and her library borrowing history. I can find out everything about her; it’s all from my own observations, my own!"

Yang Yi suddenly asked, "So, does she have a boyfriend?"

"Err, no, they broke up half a year ago, after a year-and-a-half-long relationship."

"How long has she been doing this line of work?"

"Three months ago, under her roommate’s persuasion, her roommate found herself a sugar daddy. But after realizing that this line of work paid better, she dumped her sugar daddy and dragged her into it too. Now, Lint studies during the day and broadcasts at night. She’s very ambitious. She’s only doing this out of necessity! Oh, and her roommate keeps telling her to perform with less restraint, saying that’s how she’ll make more money."

Rodriguez said with a thoughtful expression, "Hackers are terrifying. You’ve never seen her, yet you know everything about her. How did you do it?"

"I told you, I’ve been monitoring... no, observing her!"

Yang Yi said nonchalantly, "How much money did she make?"

"Uh, in total, it’s $1,640. It was her first payment that she just received."

Yang Yi chuckled and asked, "Not much, huh? Does she have a cat?"

"Yes, the cat’s name is Punk, so her name is ’Embrace Punk.’"

Yang Yi took a breath and then nodded, "Alright, from my observation, her situation fits your description. Her underwear is cheap, her coat is cheap, even her makeup is cheap. Her room’s setup is very simple, but clean. Her dancing is a bit stiff, she can’t let herself go during the performances, she resists and is afraid of this job."

Schultz said with a look of surprise, "You can tell? I mean, you just knew from one glance?"

"Of course. Now, the next part is much simpler. You have her phone number, right? Give me your phone."

Schultz handed his phone to Yang Yi, who took it and immediately said, "Now shut down her live broadcast. Make sure no one can see what she’s doing, except for us."

Schultz didn’t ask any questions this time. He immediately went to the computer next to them, brought up a particular document, and after a quick flurry of typing, the screen Yang Yi was watching suddenly went black. After a few more taps, the screen lit up again.

Schultz said urgently, "Okay, now no one but us can see her."

It was apparent that Kagne Lint had not yet realized that her live stream had been cut off. She continued to dance strenuously, when Yang Yi dialed the phone.

After ringing for a while, Kagne Lint had to interrupt her dancing and picked up the phone on the side to answer.

"Hello."

Yang Yi spoke slowly, "Hello, ’Embrace Punk.’"

Kagne Lint immediately tensed up, her body stiffened, and then she rushed to the computer to try to end the live broadcast. However, Yang Yi said in a stern voice, "Don’t turn off the computer, and don’t be afraid. Listen to me now. I mean you no harm. Don’t ask how I got your number. You just need to know one thing—that you’re lucky."

Kagne Lint still turned off the computer, but her nervous voice came through, "Who are you? What do you want?"

Kagne had turned off the computer, but the computer was still running; Kagne Lint just didn’t know it.

Yang Yi said with a smile, "Don’t be nervous. Calm down, Lint. You’re a good girl. I’ve been watching you for a while, and I admire you. So, I’ve decided to help you. Now tell me, how much money do you need to get through tough times?"

"What do you want?"

"Don’t worry, I just want to help you, to help you get out of this predicament. It happens that I’m a wealthy person, so tell me how much you need. Consider it a donation. Come on, how much do you need?"

Schultz leaned closer to Yang Yi and whispered, "$46,000. $50,000 should definitely be enough."

Irritated, Yang Yi pushed Schultz aside and continued on the phone, "Tell me, how much money?"
