Chapter 732: Chapter 738: Nothing to Say

Just as we mentioned a possible relocation, someone went out the door. The Black Devil’s men really were quite cooperative.

However, Brian, who uttered the prediction, couldn’t feel pleased and couldn’t help but let out a light sigh.

People continued to exit, and from the drone footage, there appeared to be a total of seven individuals. Moreover, one of them was clad in a bulletproof vest, armed with two long guns, fully geared up as they boarded an off-road vehicle.

This time, they switched vehicles, opting for three off-road cars instead.

Waiting until all seven had gotten into the vehicles, and after the cars had driven off, Yang Yi whispered, "It doesn’t look like they’re moving their hideout, rather it seems like they are preparing to launch an attack?"

Xiao Ran said in a deep voice, "Did you see it? The one in the bulletproof vest is wearing a low light night vision device, while the others aren’t wearing night vision gear."

"They are indeed planning an attack."

After muttering this, Brian frowned and said, "But who are they planning to attack?"

Yang Yi was startled, and then he exclaimed loudly, "Fuck, it can’t be us they’re coming to hit, right?"

There was indeed that possibility. Although Yang Yi and his group had already moved to a new location, unknown to Corkdor, Big Ivan was still very much a force to be reckoned with locally, and the possibility that he was more adept at gathering intelligence than they had assessed was entirely plausible.

Yang Yi even started to feel nervous, thinking about that person with night vision. If he was the one with the black hood, it really exerted pressure on him.

Brian said in a serious tone, "Let’s see where they go. If they’re heading in our direction, then we get ready for a fight. If they keep heading towards us, we notify Jethro, and we’ll set up a trap and wait. If they go somewhere else, then we’ll see who they are actually planning to attack."

Yang Yi thought about it and said, "Continue cleaning up traitors? I mean, those who have betrayed Big Ivan."

"Are there any left?"

"Of course, there are still several in Kyiv alone, one of them is quite important, previously guarded by people Corkdor sent, but I don’t know if Jethro has continued to protect him."

Brian nodded and said, "We’ll see where they’re headed. If they’re not coming our way, then we’ll ask Jethro about the bought off traitors; who is significant and where they live."

The off-road vehicles had already set off, but watching the route of the three cars, they weren’t headed in Yang Yi and his group’s direction—the orientation was off.

After waiting a while, Brian exhaled lightly and said, "They’re not coming our way. Do you know who’s in that direction?"

"Let me think. Hmm, a traitor, turned by Corkdor, who has his own group of subordinates and is closely connected with both Corkdor and the CIA. Corkdor used to provide protection for him, but later the CIA took over. It seems that after Corkdor was captured, he gave him away. Jethro just contacted him earlier today."

"Are you sure this person is the only one in that direction?"

"Positive."

Knowing only the direction in which the enemy was advancing was not enough to pinpoint their destination. But as the Black Devil’s vehicles consistently turned, they indeed seemed to be heading for that particular traitor, and it could be largely assumed they were out to eliminate another traitor again.

When they were more than halfway there, Yang Yi couldn’t hold back and said, "Can’t we set up an ambush and wait for them to fall into it? Knowing where they’re going, can we not do something?"

Knowing where the enemy was headed, if they didn’t do something, it felt like wasting an opportunity.

Brian looked at Yang Yi and said, "Do you plan to ambush the Black Devil and then extract information from one or two survivors?"

Yang Yi immediately replied with dejection, "No, I was just speaking off the cuff."

Ambushing isn’t impossible, but it’s best to open up with concentrated fire and wipe out all of Black Devil’s men without leaving a single survivor. If you’re thinking about an ambush but still want to leave one or two alive, then forget it, that’s just asking for death.

"We can notify Schultz now."

Yang Yi picked up the walkie-talkie and whispered, "Black Lightning, I mentioned several locations to you today that need special attention. Are you ready for that address on Olevi Street?"

"Of course, we’re ready. Not only are there public cameras, but they’ve also installed a lot of their own cameras around the place they’re staying to monitor the street. Now that we know the exact address and phone number, we can watch everything that happens there."

"Excellent! Keep a close eye on the location and send the footage over."

After Jethro consolidated his power, many things became much easier to handle, and he could also enjoy several convenient conditions.

Yang Yi and his team could already see the situation at Black Devil’s target location before their men even arrived.

The footage from two cameras that could monitor the entire street outside was transmitted over. The scene was quiet, with only an occasional car passing by. But as soon as Black Devil arrived, they would definitely be captured on camera, and in high-definition, no less.

With drones overhead and cameras waiting at the destination, this time things were secure.

There was a strange and very pleasant feeling in keeping close track of the enemy’s movements.

The cars from Black Devil were getting closer and closer until three vehicles came to a stop, and people began to get out.

Yang Yi’s excitement and pleasant feelings lasted until the moment someone got out of the car. When he saw a person wearing a bulletproof vest, with a black head covering, step out and look directly at him, his heart skipped a beat.

The night-vision camera picked up the person’s eyes as two bright spots.

Even separated by a screen, the sight of that person staring at him through the display, then gesturing with his hand, caused half of the tablet screen to suddenly go dark, and Yang Yi couldn’t help but shiver.

It was that black head covering again; he raised his hand and took out one of the cameras.

The other camera was still operational, but only for an instant.

The two cameras were virtually simultaneously disabled, plunging the tablet screen into darkness.

Yang Yi couldn’t help but step back, and then he instinctively let out a sigh of relief.

Without aiming, without any preparation or warning, the person with the black head covering just turned his head, presumably saw the camera, and, with that casual couple of shots, took the cameras down.

But what was truly frightening was just how accurate those casual shots were. It was one thing to hit the cameras, but to hit two separate cameras without a time difference was terrifying.

Someone should have said something by now, anything. Tell Schultz to change the camera, ask Hans for an update at the scene, anything at all.

Yet once again, everyone present was struck dumb.

What could they say, how could they say it?

The camera was just a tiny object. Before they even realized the cameras were the target, they were already destroyed. If that had been two people standing there, they would have been shot in the head before even seeing the movement, so what could anyone say?

There was simply nothing to say.
