Anton inserted a USB drive into the laptop, opened the computer, and then he didn’t have to worry about a thing; Tang Guo would take care of the rest.

The villa was frequently inhabited, but how often depended on who you asked. To someone like Bu Cunzai, with his wealth, spending two months out of the year there counted as frequent.

Anton searched very carefully and very cautiously, not wanting to disturb anything, so his search was not particularly fast.

His findings weren’t impressive. The chance of finding any hard copy documents was slim to none, and there weren’t any other items that could be considered evidence. All in all, the biggest discovery so far had been the laptop left in the office.

Chris felt like he was just air, and the only thing he could do was carry Anton’s shoes for him.

Just then, Yang Yi suddenly said over the walkie-talkie, "Ghost, the target’s car has turned around and is heading back. We can’t rule out the possibility that he’s returning."

Anton stayed silent for a moment and then responded in a low voice over the walkie-talkie, "Understood."

Anton turned to Chris and said in a grave tone, "Ask our hacker how much longer the data download will take."

Chris could only tuck his shoes under his arm before making a call, and then he told Anton, "It’ll take at least ten more minutes. Tang Guo can only duplicate all the data from the computer. We’ll have to analyze it slowly once we get back, as the current network speed is quite slow."

Anton glanced at his watch and said in an unhurried tone, "We’ve been at this for fourteen minutes. Even if Bu Cunzai starts heading back this instant, he won’t make it in ten minutes, so we have plenty of time."

After saying this, Anton continued his search as if nothing had happened.

But Chris genuinely began to feel the tension. The owner was coming back, and they were still in his house, stealing.

As the ten-minute mark approached, Chris couldn’t help but ask, "Boss, where is the target now?"

Yang Yi had been continuously reporting Bu Cunzai’s position, but Chris asked again anyway.

"The target is getting close to you. Evacuate quickly!"

Chris looked at Anton and whispered, "Hey, isn’t it time we get out of here?"

Anton looked at the computer when Chris urgently said, "Download complete! The data has been sent back; we can leave now!"

Anton’s task wasn’t to copy the data onto a USB drive but to transmit it directly to Tang Guo, as his own knowledge of computers was limited—he didn’t know how to copy the data without it being detectable.

Once the data transfer was complete, Anton immediately pulled out the USB drive, shut down the computer, closed the laptop, wiped it with care, and then said in a low voice, "Let’s go."

That’s when Yang Yi reported again, "The target has reached the gate of the community, but his car didn’t go in. Understood, they’re meeting another car at the entrance. Now the target is entering the community gate. Evacuate quickly!"

Anton, head lowered, hurried outside, with Chris quickly following behind. After leaving the villa, Anton carefully closed and locked the door.

"Let’s move fast!"

"Give me the shoes."

Anton got his shoes back, put them on, and then continued on until he opened the main gate from the inside.

As for Chris, he had run out barefoot.

As soon as Anton sat in the car, almost coinciding with the sound of the door closing, Chris saw a car appear around the corner in the rearview mirror.

Drained, Chris said with trembling voice, "That was too dangerous. Would you have died if you ran a few steps faster?"

Anton shrugged and smiled, "As you saw, the timing was just perfect."

Chris was both angry and anxious, but what could he say?

Watching two cars enter the villa one after the other, Anton smiled and said, "We no longer need to stay here, let’s go."

The bug had been installed, so they could know what Bu Cunzai said whether they were there or not; indeed, there was no longer a need to remain.

Anton turned on the signal receiver, and soon he heard Bu Cunzai berating someone. Anton was somewhat disappointed, having thought that Bu Cunzai’s return in the middle of his route might have been for some significant event, only to find out it was just to berate his subordinates.

Eventually, Anton and his team left the luxurious community, and soon after their departure, they quickly discovered the car driven by Yang Yi.

"Ghost calling Sea God, we can leave now, over."

"Sea God understands. Now I’m going back to see what we’ve gained. Owl and Holy Water will stay to continue the surveillance. Our bugging device’s transmission range is limited. Ghost, you can come back with us, over."

Anton smiled and said, "I want to go back and take a shower, because I’m no longer needed here."

Brian didn’t speak but snorted coldly through the intercom. It seemed Anton wasn’t needed anymore, but he had to stay to monitor the situation, as if he were just there to assist Anton.

But as much as he resented it, Brian would certainly not be negligent.

Yang Yi went straight back to the hotel, then immediately found Tang Guo and asked urgently, "Have you found anything?"

Looking at the computer, Tang Guo said annoyed, "I downloaded a whole sixteen gigabytes of files, but at least fifteen gigs are all adult movies!"

Tang Guo’s angry and complaining manner didn’t sound very irritated; instead, it was quite amusing.

"There is!"

Tang Guo took a breath, then said gravely, "First, we can confirm that this computer is Bu Cunzai’s work computer. The files are mainly drafts of speeches. Based on the modification records, these speeches have been revised many times, but..."

"But what?"
