Chapter 362: Chapter 350: Financial Management

Brian smiled at Xiao Ran, a smile that was gentle, neither sinister nor frightening.

But to Xiao Ran, the smile Brian wore was the devil’s grin, and the fear instilled by his dominance made her subconsciously stand up and swiftly take two steps back.

Brian smiled once again, then whispered softly, "Don’t hide, come here."

Xiao Ran took a deep breath, glanced at the people around her, then let out another long sigh before moving forward two steps, her face resolute as she locked eyes with Brian.

Xiao Ran tried her best to convey an undaunted demeanor, but her trembling body betrayed her.

Brian remained impassive. He suddenly reached out and grabbed Xiao Ran’s arm. As he pulled her arm toward himself, he flicked his right hand.

A cold glint appeared at Brian’s fingertips.

Xiao Ran only felt a slight pain in her palm, but Brian quickly raised her hand, holding it before her own face.

"This is your blood, flowing out. Look at it, really look at it."

Xiao Ran’s body noticeably softened, already pale, her complexion turned even paler as she saw the blood bead in her palm quickly form a line and then a pool of fresh blood.

"Oh, fuck..."

Xiao Ran cursed weakly. Her legs buckled, but her hand was still firmly held by Brian.

Xiao Ran didn’t fall, she didn’t faint. Though her entire body was weak, she truly didn’t faint.

Xiao Ran stared intently at the increasing amount of blood in her palm, while Brian said with satisfaction, "This is your blood, not someone else’s. You’re bleeding, faster and more. Is there anything you want to say?"

Taking a deep breath and swallowing hard, Xiao Ran said with a trembling voice, "I’m fine, I’m really good! It’s just blood, just a bit of blood, I’m completely fine!"

"Very good!"

After saying this, Brian suddenly smeared Xiao Ran’s hand across her own face.

Xiao Ran’s face instantly turned blood red.

Xiao Ran froze for a moment, and then she let out a piercing scream.

"You should faint now. It’s just your subconscious trying to protect you. Faint, lie down, if you lie down, you’ll be fine. Faint."

Brian whispered into Xiao Ran’s ear like a devil, her body shaking even more violently, but after she slowly shook her head, she said with a trembling voice, "No, I’m fine! I’m very good. I won’t faint. I can face others’ blood, I can face my own blood, it’s just a bit of blood, I’m fine."

All of a sudden, Brian released Xiao Ran’s hand, and she slumped into a chair, exhausted.

There are two types of blood phobia: one is fainting at the sight of blood, and the other is fainting at the sight of one’s own blood, though most faint at the sight of anyone’s blood. Xiao Ran no longer had much of a reaction to other people’s blood plasma, but whether she would faint at the sight of her own blood had not yet been tested.

Now that Brian had completed the last step, Xiao Ran still reacted to the sight of blood, but she definitely wouldn’t faint anymore. From this point on, as long as she regularly encountered blood, she should be able to completely overcome her fear of fainting at the sight of it.

Yang Yi wanted to check on Xiao Ran’s wound, but just as he approached her, Mike suddenly said, "Don’t bother with her, let her treat the wound herself."

Yang Yi stopped and said to Xiao Ran, "Treat your wound, stop the bleeding first, and then I’ll get the first aid kit."

Brian watched Xiao Ran intently and said sternly, "No, let her get it herself. You heard, go get the first aid kit and then come back and treat your wound, right now, immediately!"

Xiao Ran stood up, initially staggering a bit, but her steps quickly steadied.

She briskly returned upstairs, fetched her own first aid kit, and went to the faucet to rinse off the blood. She first sprayed some disinfectant, then used a hemostatic to spray the wound, and finally, she wrapped the injury with gauze.

Watching Xiao Ran methodically complete all the tasks on her own, Brian turned to Yang Yi and said, "Alright, she might still be afraid of seeing blood, but at least she won’t faint anymore. With more exposure to blood, there shouldn’t be any more problems."

After finishing his words, Brian casually waved his hand and said, "I’m going back to my room now. Goodbye, everyone."

After Brian left, Paul and Charles also didn’t stay. They followed Brian back to their rooms. Only after Brian had left did Schultz cautiously ask, "Who is he looking for?"

Yang Yi let out a breath and said, "I’ll tell you guys later, you don’t need to know right now. Alright, everyone can rest now. Get ready, and tomorrow we wait to collect money."

At that moment, Boer came down from upstairs and, after shrugging his shoulders at those present, whispered, "Hey, everyone, I heard what you all were discussing, and I know that each of you has been given some money. Uh, I’m wondering, do any of you have plans for your money?"

Boer had neither joined the Organization of Water nor could he do anything else. The fact that Yang Yi was willing to let him tag along without contributing was generous enough; there was no way he was going to share any money with him.

Seeing Yang Yi’s curious expression, Boer shrugged and said, "Don’t get me wrong, I’m not asking you for money. I’m just wondering if you have any financial management needs."

Yang Yi realized and said, "You want to make money with our money?"

"Exactly, I want to make money with your money. I just take a reasonable commission. You should trust me. I started from scratch to become a banker; my ability to manage wealth is clearly superior to any of you."

After confidently stating this, Boer continued with a look of resignation, "I’ve had enough of staying idle here. I just want to get some work done. Give me your money, whether it’s to invest in the stock market or buy funds, I can quickly make more of it. After taking my reasonable commission, I will have money too. It’s a win-win proposal."

Schultz, curious, asked, "You plan to go into financial management, right? How are you going to do it? Purchase fund products?"

"Yes! Yes, I have some knowledge about stocks but not that in-depth, however, funds are my area of expertise. Gentlemen, just give me your money and a bit of time, and I guarantee you’ll get double the returns!"

Yang Yi suddenly had an idea. He looked at Mike, and after exchanging glances, he then said to Boer, "Your identity is a problem; you can’t appear in the financial market here in the United Kingdom, so, how do you plan to do it?"

Boer replied with a helpless look on his face, "I don’t know, but this is London, not many people know me here. Anyway, even with the risks, I’m willing to take them. If I don’t find something to do, I’m going to go crazy!"

Yang Yi said with a smile, "How about this, I’ll take care of your identity issue, and then you can manage finances for the Organization of Water, how does that sound?"

Boer replied without hesitation, "Of course, that’s fine. Do I even have a choice?"
