Chapter 1320: Chapter 1325: Truly Popular

If Aaron plans to do something at Asad Base, Yang Yi and his team are indeed hard to defend against, leaving little room to fight back. So for safety, Yang Yi had Brian take that cross-like thing and stay outside alone.

Only Yang Yi, Reggie, and the five from Black Devil arrived at the Asad military base.

Upon arrival, there were ten minutes left until the set six hours span, so Yang Yi and his team waited for a while. Then, exactly at the six-hour mark, they walked towards the gate of Asad Base.

As usual, they were stopped, but this time, Grevatov and his team were carrying weapons.

Yang Yi had already taken out his credentials, holding them up above his head. As for Grevatov’s team, the Black Devils did not cover their faces, but they were indeed in disguise.

The sentry had just reached out to stop Yang Yi and his group when a sergeant came out from behind, first giving them a strange look, then loudly saying: "Just received orders from above, let them in, no check needed!"

It was a strange order, leaving the soldiers guarding the gate somewhat bewildered. The highest-ranking sergeant present reiterated loudly: "Let them in. No checks, it’s an order!"

Yang Yi put away his credentials, then silently walked into the base compound.

Reggie was bewildered; he had always been so. Because when Yang Yi told him he needed to pilot an AC-130 for a combat mission without explaining why, Reggie was just confused.

Yang Yi didn’t know who Aaron contacted to secure the AC-130; that was Aaron’s business. He just needed to be able to fly this airborne gunship to Mosul.

They walked silently in the Asad military base compound. The soldiers who saw Yang Yi and his team were curious, but no one came up to inquire, and there wasn’t much to ask.

Jason once again came to greet them, though he himself didn’t fully know what was happening.

"I received orders..."

Jason only said a word before stopping, glanced at Yang Yi, and then at the people behind Yang Yi. Swallowing his saliva, he said, "Follow me."

"The plane is already undergoing emergency takeoff preparations; just got the order, hmm, it should take about half an hour."

Unable to resist looking back at Yang Yi and his crew, Jason hesitated for a moment before saying again, "Well then, you... never mind, good luck."

Yang Yi nodded and said to Jason, "Thank you."

The group reached the runway side, where the ground crew was urgently refueling the aircraft, and resupply of weapons and ammunition had begun. However, since the order was just received, a lot of ammunition had to be brought from the ammo depot before replenishing, so currently only starting with loading 25mm cannon shells.

Watching crates of cannon rounds being opened and loaded into the belts, Rotzstoski checked his watch and then said softly, "It should take about half an hour."

Still waiting, Grevatov tilted his head slightly and softly said, "We can go to the cockpit to check the plane’s status."

Yang Yi turned to Reggie, "Go check it out."

Reggie looked at Yang Yi, then he and Vasily entered the cockpit to start the pre-flight checks.

Still waiting, watching boxes of 105mm shells getting loaded onto the plane, and rows of 40mm bullets neatly placed on designated racks, Yang Yi’s initially somewhat restless mood gradually started calming down.

With refueling finished and ammunition loaded onto the plane, the aircraft was nearly ready for combat and could take off soon.

At this moment, daylight had just begun to break.

Grevatov’s phone rang. He answered it swiftly and took a call.

"Hello, hello?"

Saying this twice, Grevatov hung up, glanced at his phone, then calmly said, "Mosul, Rajawed Grand Mosque, hurry!"

Yang Yi didn’t know who had called, but as Grevatov set his phone down, his phone rang too.

Yang Yi picked it up, hearing Justin urgently shouting, "Satan is at Rajawed Mosque! If you can go help, I’ll pay you five million USD! Right now, money paid immediately!"

The collaboration between the Organization of Water and Black Devil was top secret, extremely confidential, something even Gong Yang didn’t know, let alone Justin.

"Uh, I’m not in a convenient position right now."

After saying this, Yang Yi promptly hung up the call, curious only about one thing, so he looked at Grevatov.

Grevatov made another call and then quietly said, "Rajawed Mosque, contact anyone who can go help them, hurry, their situation is very bad."

Yang Yi motioned with his hand and said, "Let’s go."

The group swiftly boarded the plane, closed the hatch, and started the engine.

No need for force reconnaissance, no need to look further, just head straight to Rajawed Mosque. Clearly, this was to buy Gong Yang’s team the most valuable time for rescue.

Yang Yi couldn’t help but ask, "Who called?"

"Satan."

After uttering this softly, Grevatov took out his phone again and said to Yang Yi, "We are taking off immediately, rush over as quickly as possible, please hurry!"

No need for Yang Yi to say anything, the plane was already starting to take off.

The aircraft completed its takeoff in the shortest distance possible. It must be said, Reggie might not be a very qualified agent, but as a pilot, he was exceptionally adept.

After takeoff, the plane quickly departed Baghdad’s airspace. At this time, Grevatov said in a deep voice: "Contact Angel, contact Aurora, contact Butt Face, Vampire, contact the Big Man using very-high-frequency radio for aerial communication, adjust to the agreed frequency before our communications get interfered with, and set the attack launch time."

Yang Yi hesitated for a moment and asked, "Are you talking about Angel... the Angel Mercenary Corps?"

"Yes."

"Uh, I can understand Angel Mercenary Corps, but Aurora..."

"Correct, Aurora Mercenary Corps."

Okay, Angel Mercenary Corps was a legend, but the Aurora Mercenary Corps was even more legendary and retired. Well, under the principle of competitors being enemies, Yang Yi indeed didn’t quite understand or dare to believe these two mercenary groups would genuinely partake in rescuing Satan.

"So Butt Face..."

"Nickname, all nicknames, but each of them represents... many people, many people."
