Chapter 1215: Chapter 1220: Castle Hermitage Meeting

How Elvin managed to embed this thought into the deepest part of his mind, Yang Yi had no idea, but he knew he had passed the test.

No wonder Elvin dared to let the Grey-cloaked People capture him alive—because he truly had confidence.

Salute to Elvin, because he was the legendary Death Spy. Using his own life to earn greater trust for Yang Yi was secondary; what commanded the most respect was his courage to face the torment before death.

"Yang Yi must be killed. He has betrayed us. He knows too much. Kill him, kill him..."

Elvin fell into meaningless ramblings. A man with a blank expression looked over at Aaron. Aaron waved his hand, signaling him to continue.

"Who is your superior? What is his name?"

"Jador Randolph..."

"What is his title?"

"Member of the Elders’ Council, the Seventh Elder..."

"Where is Jador Randolph?"

"I don’t know, can’t say, don’t know, can’t say..."

Elvin repeated the same two sentences. Aaron’s face darkened. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly asked, "Is Jador Randolph a white man?"

"Yes..."

"Is Jador Randolph overweight?"

"No, he’s not overweight..."

"Is Jador Randolph an old man?"

"Yes..."

"Jador Randolph is only five feet two inches tall, correct?"

"No, Jador Randolph is very tall."

"Did you deliberately let us capture you?"

"No, I want to kill Yang Yi. I must kill Yang Yi..."

"Why haven’t you acted?"

"Confirmation... unable to confirm... value... Kill Yang Yi..."

Elvin plunged back into his ramblings. His testimony was destined to remain fragmented, but now Elvin seemed caught in a mental conflict, unsure of how to respond even in his subconscious.

Aaron immediately followed up, "What is your mission?"

The question was too broad, yet Elvin seemed invigorated, suddenly raising his voice and shouting hoarsely, "War! This is war! We must stop the Grey-cloaked People! We must win the war!"

Elvin was unexpectedly able to utter a complete sentence, and it sounded as if he were fully conscious as he said it.

Aaron was somewhat surprised. He nodded slightly, then said in a deep voice, "Has the war already begun?"

"The war has begun! The war has begun! Win the war! Win the war!"

Elvin suddenly opened his eyes. His hands and feet were restrained, and though he couldn’t move, he attempted to sit up.

Unable to move, Elvin strained his neck upward, shouting, "For the light! For victory! The prophecy has arrived! For the light!"

The person monitoring Elvin’s physical state suddenly spoke urgently, "He’s too agitated. Inject..."

Aaron abruptly waved his hand and said, "No! Don’t! Let him speak!"

Elvin remained extremely agitated, his whole body trembling. Blood began to seep from his nose. As he shouted, his voice became shaky, almost incoherent.

"For humanity... fight... victory! Prophecy... victory!"

Seeing Elvin in this state gave Yang Yi a chilling sense of unease.

Because Elvin looked exactly like a fanatic zealot.

Aaron’s expression was grave. Yang Yi noticed that the tips of his fingers were trembling slightly.

Elvin stopped moving. There was no sound from him anymore. Although his eyes were still wide open, the light in them had completely vanished.

The person responsible for monitoring Elvin’s vitals said dejectedly, "He’s dead. I don’t know why he became so agitated. He’s dead..."

Aaron took a long breath and then closed his eyes.

After a moment, Aaron reopened his eyes and saluted Elvin’s now-lifeless body.

"To the most loyal warrior, to the brave who sacrificed himself for an ideal, I salute you."

Aaron’s tone was calm, but the weight of his words was anything but.

Lowering his hand, Aaron exhaled and said in a deep voice, "Erase all recorded footage from this moment—now."

"What? Erase it?"

Aaron turned his gaze over and said, "Did I not make myself clear?"

"Crystal clear, but... okay, erasing now."

Aaron said plainly, "Erase it completely. After deletion, physically destroy all storage devices. Everyone who had access to this interrogation, whether they saw it or heard it, must gather here immediately. This is an order. Execute at the highest priority—now!"

A short while later, two more people entered the operating room.

Aaron remained as composed as ever, speaking in an even tone, "I declare the content of this interrogation to be of the highest confidentiality. Those unauthorized to access this level of secrecy, please step to my right."

Two individuals silently stepped forward. Aaron let out a breath and said solemnly, "You two are unauthorized to handle matters of the highest confidentiality. Therefore, you will return to headquarters under constant supervision and remain in twenty-four-hour monitored isolation."

Both individuals nodded, and they even looked somewhat relieved.

What they called ’supervision’ was escort, and what they meant by ’monitored isolation’ was nothing less than imprisonment.

After finishing, Aaron turned to Yang Yi and asked in a low voice, "Do you think I’m overly cautious and harsh?"

Yang Yi shook his head and replied softly, "No, this is the fastest, most convenient, and most efficient way to handle this. So, do you intend to kill me next?"

Aaron shook his head, then once again said firmly, "For the rest of you, you come from two different units. Now, I require mutual supervision to ensure no one leaks what they’ve heard here—not to anyone. I mean, no one, including your superiors. Understood?"

"Understood, sir."

Aaron’s face was somber as he said, "From this moment, you will enter a one-year self-isolation state under headquarters’ surveillance. Unless notified otherwise. Any objections?"

"None, sir."

Although there were four people, their response was as synchronized as if it came from one person.

Aaron inhaled deeply and said, "Good. Everything that happened here is now irrelevant to you. Leave as a group under mutual supervision."

The six individuals silently left, leaving behind only Elvin’s body, along with Aaron, Yang Yi, and Bonnie.

Aaron looked at Yang Yi and then asked in a deep voice, "What are you thinking about?"

Yang Yi sighed and said, "I’ve always lacked understanding of both the Cleaners and the Grey-cloaked People. I don’t even know what your creed is, what your goal is, what drives so many people to dedicate their lives to your cause. Now, I think, maybe it’s religion?"

"No, it’s not religion. It hasn’t been about religion for a long time."

Yang Yi spread his hands and said, "Then it must be the Freemasons or the Illuminati. It’s really hard not to think in that direction."

Aaron chuckled softly, then said in a solemn tone, "It’s not the Freemasons, nor the Illuminati. But what we do is exactly what the Freemasons never actually did. Our formal name, or our real name, is the Castle Hermitage Order."
