Chapter 1052: One thousand and fifty, Phoenix City
Huo Wujiu nodded slightly, "Speak!" No matter who the other party is, one must face what needs to be faced.
"Yes!" Elder Jin responded and said, "Among those four young people from the Dragon Clan are Lu Hanmo, Luo Shu, Yun Han, and Xiao Yao. They ascended from the Lower Realm six years ago. Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu are both Level Nine Immortal Formation Masters, Yun Han is a Level Eight Immortal Artifact Master, and Xiao Yao is slightly less accomplished, being a Level Six Immortal Rune Master. According to the records, when they boarded the Immortal Ship from the Earth Realm to the Heaven Realm, their cultivation levels were Immortal Emperor, Senior Immortal Late Stage Peak, Immortal Monarch Late Stage, and Immortal Monarch Primary Stage, respectively. Among the Top Ten Sects, Sky Water Sect and Great Mahayana Island have grudges against them. However, after causing trouble for them once, neither dared to approach them again."
As Elder Jin spoke, everyone’s eyes widened, filled with shock.
Even after Elder Jin finished speaking, the audience was still stunned, unable to recover.
"Sect Master! This is all the information about them," Elder Jin reported. At the time, he couldn’t believe what he saw in their records. Six years to go from Golden Immortal to Immortal Emperor—what sort of concept is that? Some cultivators who ascend take ten years to barely reach Golden Immortal Mid-Stage. Furthermore, they are Level Nine Immortal Formation Masters and Level Eight Immortal Artifact Masters. Even if they encountered opportunities every day, such rapid progress seems impossible!
Huo Wujiu let out a long sigh, his face etched with solemnity. He was beginning to believe Elder Liu’s words. If the other party could ascend from Golden Immortal Stage to Immortal Emperor Stage in six years, advancing to Divine King within six months might not be entirely out of the question.
"Six years, Golden Immortal to Immortal Emperor. This is just too outrageous."
"Even the Heaven Realm’s most talented disciples couldn’t achieve this, right? If it weren’t for Elder Jin’s reputation for flawless investigations, I wouldn’t believe it at all."
"Surely, those young people have secrets. Otherwise, their cultivation wouldn’t progress this rapidly."
"Could the Dragon Clan’s quiet return have something to do with those young people?" Finally shaking off their shock, the elders began discussing fervently, unable to suppress their astonishment!
Last time, the Dragon Clan’s Young Master and elders returned; they received the news well in advance. But this time, the Dragon Clan had seemingly appeared out of thin air. If it weren’t for continuous surveillance maintained by the monitoring formation, they wouldn’t have known their return at all.
"They likely possess a Small World," Huo Wujiu said quietly. Without a Small World, there was no way the Dragon Clan could return so stealthily.
"A Small World?!" The elders were stunned once more. A Small World was a legendary treasure. As far as anyone knew, one of the Nine Great War Gods, Huang Qianshan, had a Chaos Mountain and River Map that contained a Small World within it—a world so vast it wasn’t much smaller than the Heaven Realm itself.
Huo Wujiu nodded affirmatively, "Without a Small World, the Dragon Clan couldn’t have appeared this silently. Right now, my priority is to formulate a battle plan; whether it’s the Dragon Clan’s Mirror of Time or that Small World, they are mine."
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, after finishing their formation arrangements, followed the map provided by the Dragon Queen and headed for the Phoenix Clan. By now, the Dragon Clan’s members had all reached above the Divine King level, and equipped with laser cannons and defensive formations, they naturally had no concerns for the safety of the Dragon Clan.
The Phoenix Clan wasn’t far from the Dragon Clan. With the Immortal Ship crafted by Yun Han, the duo took only a day to reach the Phoenix Clan’s territory.
Putting away the Immortal Ship, they didn’t walk far before a dazzling golden city came into their view.
Moving closer, they saw above the city gates the same glittering words, "Phoenix City."
From the Dragon Queen, they learned that the Phoenix Clan had nearly fallen to ruin, and the city’s inhabitants were mostly outsiders who had come from other places.
After paying the entrance fee, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo entered the city.
Phoenix City was bustling, with virtually everything crafted from gold. Perhaps this was to emphasize the Phoenix Clan’s grandeur and nobility.
Strolling through the city, they hardly encountered any members of the Phoenix Clan. The hallmark of Phoenix Clan people was the teardrop-like gold mark at the center of their brows.
As night fell, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo sought out a room at a Qi Inn. They planned to visit the Phoenix Clan’s divine mountain, Phoenix Feather Mountain, under the cover of darkness.
The Dragon Queen had told them that Phoenix Feather Mountain housed a Spatial Comprehension Pool; however, the pool was filled with the Phoenix Clan’s Nirvana Rebirth Flame. Legend had it that this flame was left behind after the Nirvana of the Phoenix Clan’s first Queen, and it was a type of supernatural flame. The Nirvana Rebirth Flame could burn anything and was incredibly terrifying, which was why not even Phoenix Clan members had ever entered the Spatial Comprehension Pool.
As the night deepened, Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu landed silently by the lakeside, surrounded by roaring flames.
Looking ahead, all they could see was a sea of flames. Even before stepping into the pool, they could already feel the scorching heat of the Nirvana Rebirth Flame.
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo exchanged a smile, their interlocked fingers tightening as they stepped forward into the Spatial Comprehension Pool.
Flames engulfed them, and the searing heat brought a sharp sting to their bodies. These flames truly weren’t ordinary; otherwise, given their current cultivation levels and physical strength, they wouldn’t feel a thing.
Luo Shu took out a bottle of Ice Spirit Pills. After consuming one, she handed the bottle to Lu Hanmo.
*Rip!* A ripping sound rang out as their clothes were instantly reduced to nothingness by the flames.
Luo Shu quickly deployed a Divine Sense Shield and put on new clothes. Although she and Hanmo were husband and wife, and long familiar with each other’s bodies, she still felt shy in such a situation, standing bare before him.
Lu Hanmo couldn’t help but chuckle at Luo Shu’s haste to change clothes.
Luo Shu shot him a glare, "Aren’t you going to change as well?"
Lu Hanmo stifled his laughter and also created a Divine Sense Shield to change into fresh attire.
Keeping their shields active, they continued forward. Though the shields prevented their clothes from being burnt, they could still feel the scorching heat of the flames.
As they ventured deeper into the center of the pool, the flames grew increasingly intense, burning away their Divine Sense Shields as quickly as they could create them. Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo had to repeatedly form new shields on their approach.
Finally reaching the center of the Spatial Comprehension Pool, the heat became so intense that even their shields could no longer be deployed. Left with no other choice, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo had to let their clothing burn away. Fortunately, this secluded area was void of other people, and they had already set up formations along the lakeside.
"We’ll just stay here for now. And stop looking at me!" Luo Shu shyly shot Lu Hanmo a glare. Faced with his gaze, hotter than the flames encasing them, her heart couldn’t help but pound wildly.
