Hearing the question, the server quickly recounted what had happened.

Mu Shaoci’s expression grew solemn as he strode toward the scene of the incident, followed by a group of people.

At the entrance to the restroom, Mother Shen, with disheveled hair, was desperately grasping two women who continued to punch and kick her.

Shen Lu and Father Shen arrived just in time to witness this scene.

Zuo Li sneered, "Did I say anything wrong? Shen Lu is just a nanny, while we work on business every day, what is she busy with? Making meals and cleaning."

Jiang Ning chimed in, "Right, and with that face, she still wants to seduce President Mu. She doesn’t even have the decency to look in the mirror and see what she really looks like."

Shen Lu had long since come to terms with their mockery and scorn and didn’t care, but Father Shen and Mother Shen couldn’t bear to hear their daughter insulted in such a manner.

She stopped her parents and turned to her colleagues, speaking seriously, "First of all, like you, I entered the secretarial department through a company interview. Zuo Li was defiant, "Why should you be paid like an assistant?"

"It’s because I agreed to it!" Mu Shaoci’s voice rose from the crowd.

Zuo Li and Jiang Ning looked in the direction of the voice, both displaying expressions of surprise.

The crowd parted, and Mu Shaoci stepped forward, "Spreading malicious rumors behind a colleague’s back, is this the quality of Mu Corporation’s employees? I’m quite enlightened. You two won’t need to come to work tomorrow."

"Su Chen."

"Here, President Mu."

"Have HR settle their accounts right now."

After reading it, Shen Lu changed her clothes, took her car keys, and left.

The night breeze was gentle, seeping through the car window, blowing her bangs apart, revealing her smooth forehead.

When she arrived downstairs at Mu Shaoci’s building, she flipped down the rearview mirror to look at herself. Without bangs, she seemed to look much better.

She quickly brushed her bangs back in place, took the car keys out, and got out of the car.

Entering Mu Shaoci’s home, she placed her car keys and cellphone on the living room coffee table, then headed into the kitchen to start cooking the Sobering-up Soup.

Assistant Su said Mu Shaoci hadn’t eaten much, so she cooked two small dishes and a pot of preserved egg and lean pork congee.
